This was a Halloween assignment my friend and I wrote.

Once upon a time in a miserable little village on the edge of a dark forest lived a young couple. There names were Jonathan and Joanna, they had a 7 year old son named Jacob, but they called him misery because they hated children. The only reason they had him was so they had someone to do all the work around the house. One day Jonathan noticed food was getting more expensive, so that night they took Jacob into the woods and killed him. They buried his body and covered the grave with leaves, then returned home. The next morning they had already forgotten they had a son.

After Jonathan left for work, Joanna went into the kitchen to do some cooking. Sitting at the kitchen table was a white haired boy, with extremely pale skin and his clothes were torn and tattered with blood. That's when Joanna noticed the boys skin wasn't just pale it was transparent. That's when she remembered something she'd forgotten, "Jacob" was the last thing she said before Jacob opened his eyes and both of them disappeared.

When Jonathan came home to find that his wife had disappeared, he panicked and started searching everywhere, until he found a piece of her clothing laying on the ground at the entrance of a cave, not far from the village. When he got to the end of it he found a lighted torch on the wall and blood splattered all over the floor. He looked up and found Joanna cut into pieces and hanging from the ceiling. It was both a horrifying and a disgusting sight. He looked back down to find a pale boy in the corner, 'Jacob,' Jonathan though before Jacob opened his eyes revealing crimson red eyes.

A few seconds later, Jonathan's lifeless body parts had joined the ones of his wife, hanging from the ceiling. Jacob looked up and smiled, "this is my revenge," he said before fading into the mist.
