Chapter 44: The Final Fitting
The bridal boutique was buzzing with soft chatter and the occasional rustling of fabric as Natalia stood on the fitting pedestal, staring at her reflection in the mirror. The dress was perfect-better than she had imagined.
Naomi, Galina, and Almia sat on the couch nearby, their eyes glued to her with pure admiration.
"Oh my God," Naomi whispered, her hands clasped together. "Nati... you look breathtaking."
Natalia turned slightly, smoothing her hands over the intricate lace bodice. The dress hugged her figure beautifully before flowing into a delicate, dreamy train. The moment felt surreal.
Galina smiled warmly. "This is the one, Nati. No doubt."
Natalia bit her lip, her eyes misting with emotion. "I still can't believe this is happening."
Almia stood, walking over to adjust the veil. "Believe it, girl. In a few weeks, you're gonna be walking down that aisle to marry the love of your life."
The reality of it all hit her again, sending a wave of excitement and nerves through her. She had spent so much time making sure everything was perfect that she hadn't really taken a step back to let it all sink in.
Naomi grinned. "Jey is gonna lose his damn mind when he sees you."
Natalia laughed, wiping at the corner of her eye. "That's the goal."
The bridal consultant made a few final adjustments, pinning and tucking where needed before stepping back. "Everything fits beautifully. We'll have it pressed and ready for pick-up next week."
Natalia took a deep breath, holding onto the moment. This was it. The final fitting. The last step before the big day.
Galina reached for her hand, giving it a squeeze. "You ready, bride-to-be?"
Natalia smiled, her heart full. "More than ever."
