Chapter 26: Wedding Talk and Future Plans
Back inside the boutique, Natalia sat with Naomi, Galina, and Almia, sipping on champagne while they lounged on the plush seating area. The excitement from the dress fitting still lingered, but now the conversation had shifted to wedding plans.
"So," Naomi started, a mischievous grin on her face. "Now that you've tried on dresses, we gotta talk about everything else."
Natalia laughed. "Like what?"
"Venue, theme, colors, food," Almia listed off, counting on her fingers. "You and Jey gotta start locking things in soon."
Galina leaned in. "And let's be real, we all know Roman's gonna try and make it huge."
Natalia groaned playfully. "Oh, I know he is. But Jey and I want something elegant but intimate. We don't need a stadium wedding."
Naomi smirked. "Good luck telling your cousin that."
They all laughed, knowing how Roman could be when it came to family events.
Before Natalia could say anything else, her phone buzzed with a text from Jey.
Jey: Your son just destroyed Jimmy at bowling.
Natalia: Please tell me there's video evidence.
Jey: You already know I got you.
She smiled, picturing Malakai celebrating while Jimmy probably exaggerated his defeat.
"Jey?" Naomi asked, watching Natalia's expression.
"Yeah," she said, slipping her phone back in her bag. "Apparently, Malakai just embarrassed Jimmy at the bowling alley."
Naomi laughed. "Good! Jimmy talks too much trash anyway."
Galina sipped her champagne. "Okay, so... wedding colors?"
Natalia thought for a moment. "I love deep reds. Maybe gold? Something classic but bold."
"Oooh, that's a vibe," Almia said approvingly.
Naomi snapped her fingers. "And you could do candlelit everything-real romantic and dramatic."
Galina nodded. "An evening wedding with that color scheme would be stunning."
Natalia felt excitement bubble in her chest. This was real. She was planning her wedding with the women who would soon be her family.
Naomi tapped her chin. "Alright, bridesmaids. Who's in?"
Natalia looked around at the women in front of her-her soon-to-be sisters. She lifted her glass, eyes shining.
"I think I just found my dream team."
As their glasses clinked, Natalia felt an overwhelming sense of love and belonging.
This wasn't just about a wedding.
This was about family.
