For weeks, they would come out into the woods and practice. Sometimes it would change; sometimes it would be how to make a bubble around her.

A month later, Cassie was more tan and muscular. She would climb up a tree with her bubble, and Kade would try to smell her out to test the power. She was slowly able to control the power more and more, though now it was only up to 30 minutes of power use before she felt weak.

Cassie watched as Kade walked below her. He looked up at her and she sighed and climbed down, releasing her power. She slipped and started to fall. She used her power to try to slow her down, but Kade caught her and set her on her feet.

"Okay, how did you find me that time? I was really concentrating."

"We need to walk back to the house." He grabbed her arm and pulled her along. Cassie was panting, worn out. She pulled her arm from his grasp and bent over, putting her hands on her legs trying to catch her breath.

"Slow down, I can't catch my breath." Kade looked at her and suddenly Cassie felt her hair roughly pulled back and an arm around her waist. She gasped and grabbed at the hand in her hair. She looked ahead of her and Kade was in front of her, very tense. She felt something touch her neck and she bucked. She heard a man chuckling in her ear.

"Very feisty. I can see why he would keep you around." Cassie closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She concentrated and could feel him slipping off of her. She ran towards Kade. She felt something hit her power and it just felt like a ripple. Suddenly Kade was gone. She turned around and saw flashes going from tree trunk to tree trunk. They stopped and Cassie watched as Kade pinned another man to a tree. He grabbed his head and twisted it, making the man crumple to the ground. Cassie yelped and covered her mouth with her hand. Kade walked towards her.

"He's fine." Kade walked into her power field and she looked up at him as he came close to her. He picked her up and ran towards the house. They were there and Cassie dropped her power and pushed herself out of his arms and ran into the house. The maids, Cassie found out their names were Eva and Cameron, were in the kitchen cutting up vegetables.

Cassie walked in, using the wall as a support and sat down at one of the island chairs. She rested her head in her arms. Cassie found herself struggling against sleep and she finally gave in after only a moment. Kade walked in and looked at the maids and at Cassie.

"We have company." The girls looked up at Kade and nodded and continued to cook. Kade put a hand on Cassie's head.

"My Lord, is she alright?" Eva asked with concern in her eyes. Kade nodded.

"She pushed a little farther than she should have today. But she'll be fine after sleep and some food. Why don't you prepare something you know she will enjoy when she wakes?" Cameron nodded and Eva went back to preparing dinner. The door blew open and the man from the woods walked in with a large smile.

"Brother! Why the cold welcome? I heard you have a new toy, and I see she is an enjoyable one. Tell me, does she taste as fun?" The man reached out to grab her and his hand was shocked. Kade laughed.

"Brother, she is off limits. Now tell why you have come." The man looked at Kade with a serious expression.

"We need to talk." Kade motioned upstairs and the man nodded. Kade picked up Cassie and carried her back to her room and laid her on the bed. He closed her door and walked upstairs and met up with the man in the study, closing the door behind him. and pulled her along. Cassie was panting, worn out.
