Caius Volts has detested the cocky imebcile that is Finnick Odair ever since he visciously and bloodily dismembered his girlfriend's pretty head from her shoulders. Granted, Katrina had been about to do the same to Finnick 2.5 seconds earlier - but that was besides the point. The Odair boy had just been doing what he'd needed to do to survive, just like Katrina had: but heartbreak defies all reasoning.

When Caius is instructed back for the Quarter Quell, to kill and be killed once again: he is less than pleased...yet, who could blame him? He had no interest in painting the fields red, no intrigue towards the girl on fire and her fabricated relationship (any fool that's actually been in love could spot the lies she tells), and every time his eyes drifts to meet Finnick's, his blood runs cold.

It's one thing to hate someone in the safety of the outside world, but in the games Caius is going to need Finnick...whether he likes it or not.
