Chapter 39
After Madison had told family and friends about the news that she was going to be a grandmother and her child would be a father, a lot of people were not that surprised.
They figured that because they were the first couple to share their complete souls, something like a male pregnancy was only to be expected.
But some people were incredibly shocked and couldn't believe the news. These were the people that stayed on the phone for about half an hour, asking many, many questions.
Poor Madison was extremely tired by the time she got off the phone, but people then started turning up to congratulate the boys and to meet Corey and Panuleon.
They grew to be hot topics within the Vampire community as they were from another world.
Jasper, Madisons dad spent one whole day talking to them about everything he could possibly ask until Sorina had to drag him home.
Of course, the attention didn't go to their heads as they often took little days out together and spent time travelling to quiet and calm places.
Vinny and Oliver often went with them as Jed practised flying with two people.
The public went crazy after Duke announced that Oliver (their favourite) and Corey (The cute small one) were pregnant.
Mainly all of it was extremely positive as the news reporters psyched it up as very exciting news.
There was the odd person that would tell their nasty opinions and post them on the internet but they were quickly shot down by the many, many supporters of the Vanderwood family.
They thought it was very sweet that two same-sex couples were given the opportunity to have their very own children and they were eager to see what the babies looked like and what gender they were.

1 month and two weeks later.
Oliver was sitting in the library with his feet dangling over the side of the chair.
He was reading a book but not for his pleasure, he was reading it to the baby.
Aliyah has told him that the baby can hear him and it's helpful for him to read and talk to it so it recognises his voice after birth.
He can definitely feel his baby moving now and he's really enjoying how it reacts to sounds. There's no big kicks or anything like that yet but it feels like the baby is doing somersaults in his stomach.
His bump is very noticeable and there's no hiding it now.
His normal clothes don't fit anymore and he switched to the maternity clothes a few weeks ago so he could get used to wearing them.
For him, things are real.
He's having a baby and that's all he focuses on.
Now that he can feel his growing child it became a lot more believable and the bump is very good proof.
Aliyah said that she knows the sex of the baby but he and Vinny don't want to know until the due date.
The good thing about having her around is that she simply touches Oliver's stomach and she can feel everything about the baby.
The bad news is that they get no picture scan of the baby.
But to know that it's healthy is all they really need.
Oliver almost fainted when he was told that the baby would immediately age like him and Vinny. That means they'll be looking after a new born baby for one thousand years.
but at least they get to cherish the cuteness. Who doesn't like newborns?
"Oh no, the mouse said to the cat, don't eat me," Oliver said but he was quickly getting bored of this baby book.
Although, Vinny wasn't.
Oliver wasn't aware that he had been stood in the doorway, watching him read to the baby.
He had a huge smile on his face and at that moment, he felt so happy.
He would watch as Oliver subconsciously rubbed his growing bump and shift about on the seat, trying to get more comfortable.
"I won't eat you, the cat said to the mouse. But only if you find me something to eat instead" Oliver stopped and frowned "What a stupid book." He then tossed it onto the table and looked for something else to read.
"Surfing magazine? I'm sure you'll find that more interesting" He chuckled before opening it.
But before he could begin the first sentence, the door creaked.
Oliver looked up to see Vinny casually leaning against the door frame.
"How long have you been stood there?" He asked.
"A while," Vinny said with a gentle look in his eye.
Oliver found it adorable that Vinny would just stand and watch him.
He put the magazine down, got up and walked over. His ankles were feeling a little swollen today but he's doing rather well.
Vinny welcomed him with open arms.
He hugged him but it still felt really unusual to feel a bump press against his own belly.
"Lunch is ready," He said before kissing his cheek and rubbing his back.
"Good, I am so hungry" Oliver chuckled. He has been putting on the right amount of baby weight and hasn't gained additional weight. He has been eating right and trying to do light exercises but it wasn't his favourite thing to do.
Although Corey would often do it with him which did make it quite fun.
"Me too actually" Vinny smiled before taking his hand.

"Have you thought of baby names yet?" Madison asked Corey as she nibbled on a sandwich.
"No" Corey chuckled. "We thought it might be best if we wait until the baby is born so we know the sex and can then think of a name."
"Good idea" John smiled. "That's what we did with Oliver."
"Are you excited Panuleon?" Duke asked the angel.
"Yes, extremely excited," He said as he smiled down at his soulmate. He gently rubbed his back as he ate his lunch.
Corey was just under twenty-two weeks pregnant as Oliver was just over twenty-three weeks.
His bump was definitely showing, but it wasn't nearly as developed as what it will get.
Just then, Oliver and Vinny walked in after saying hello to Jed.
John still found it odd to see his son with a baby bump but he was really happy and couldn't wait to meet his grandchild.
Duke's eyes followed Vinny as he walked over to the table and sat opposite him.
He actually looked a little happy in between that frown of his.
"What about you Vinny? Are you excited?" Duke asked.
Vinny knew he was talking about the baby.
"Yes, of course I am," He said blankly.
Madison and Duke smiled at him. They knew he wouldn't be the average parent but he would make a great father.
He then put his arm on the back of Oliver's chair and started eating his lunch.
"I think it's time to get the nursery ready for your little ones" Madison chirped.
They've talked about where the rooms will be and there are two on the same corridor as the boys. They thought it would be a good idea to have them as close as possible.
Oliver couldn't wait to start shopping for the baby. He had no idea what they needed to buy but Madison had written a very big list.
They really did know nothing about babies.
"What do you want to do after lunch?" Vinny asked Oliver. "Read more surfing magazines to the baby?" He smirked.
"At least they're interesting" Oliver chuckled.
Vinny shook his head in amusement.
"I'm sure it'll love you reading magazines as a bedtime story."
"I'm sure he will."
Vinny tilted his head.
"He?"
Oliver shrugged, he didn't know why he gave the baby a gender.
"It just came out," He said before turning his attention back to his lunch.
He had a very unusual feeling that it might be male but honestly, it's a fifty/fifty chance whether he's right or not.
Vinny narrowed his eyes, but only for a moment until the door suddenly burst open.
Everyone turned to see what the commotion was all about.
Oliver's heart sank in his chest as he saw the two people who he really didn't want to see, storm into the room.
Vinny's eyes grew dark and angry as he glared at the familiar yet hatred sight.
Why did they always make such a dramatic entrance?
It was Scarlet and Kyran.
