Chapter 29

"This is the poshest bathroom I have ever seen," Corey said as he began to change into his fresh clothes. It felt very good to be clean.

Panuleon simply smiled as he connected his fingers together and waited for him to be ready.

When he was changed, he shoved his dirty clothes into his bag, rubbed a towel over his damp hair one last time before entering the bedroom.

But Panuleon grabbed his hand before he could reach the door.

Corey turned, but when his angel had a warm smile on his face, his heart melted.

"I'm so excited to start this adventure with you" Panuleon said.

Corey wrapped his arms around his back and leant against him.

"Me too."

He stood on his tiptoes for a kiss, but he could only just reach his soulmate's shoulder.

Panuleon's smile grew, he loved how adorably small he was.

He then leant down and planted a kiss onto his lips.

Their hearts felt like they were sharing the same beat as the love shined through them.

It felt so nice for them to kiss without any worries floating around in the back of their minds.

Panuleon pulled back, just so he could see the hint of gold, circling his lover's eyes.

Corey found himself dazed by his angel's beauty. His perfect features, his perfect hair and his perfect smile were drawing him in and filling his chest with warmth.

"I'm going to have such a good looking child."

Panuleon laughed and stood up straight. He loved how they have both taken this news very smoothly. Yes, it was a shock but they have talked about children already, unlike the other couple.

But it's different for everyone.

Some people want a family young, others prefer to wait.

"It will if it has your eyes" Panuleon smiled as he ran a hand through his hair.

Corey held back his blush but beamed a smile as he grabbed Panuleon's hand and pulled him towards the door.

Vinny and Oliver were hugging at the head of the bed but sat up when they came out.

"Are you feeling better?" Oliver asked as he climbed over Vinny and off the bed.

"Yes, thanks" Corey smiled.

It was unusual for Vinny and Oliver to have guests of their own. They never really developed a friendship with anyone else, mainly due to the fact that each others company was everything they ever needed.

"Are you hungry, would you like some breakfast?" Oliver asked.

"Sure" Corey smiled.

Vinny got up from the bed and took Oliver's hand. His heart was thumping in his chest because he knew he had to tell his parents about their big news.

It was something he couldn't ignore and maybe talking about it more openly will help him gain a better understanding.

He hoped that Aliyah was still here so she could explain in more detail.

Oliver gave him a reassuring smile but he felt the same.

"Are you both okay?" Panuleon asked.

He is exceptionally good at reading body language, as all angels are. But Vinny was incredibly difficult and almost impossible to read, so he guessed from Oliver.

He could tell he was nervous.

"We need to tell our parents about, the um... pregnancies," Oliver said. "But we don't know how they'll take the news."

Corey looked up at his angel. He wasn't sure if he had any advice to give them, they haven't had parents in so many years.

"Well, you have to tell them at some point. But if you get it out of the way early, you won't have to worry about that anymore," Panuleon said. "And they may provide you with the support you need."

The angel had a very good point.

"You're right" Oliver sighed and looked at his vampire. "I could run in, tell them and run out again. And then leave the rest to Jed."

Vinny shook his head and chuckled.

"I would love to see you do that, but we can't."

Oliver dropped his head onto Vinny's shoulder.

"We really have to tell them, don't we?"

Vinny kissed his temple and wrapped an arm around his shoulders.

"Don't think about it, let's just do it."

Oliver then lifted his head and nodded, more to himself.

He let out a breath to calm his nerves before walking towards the door.

Everyone followed.

Even Corey and Panuleon felt a little nervous for them. It would be a very hard thing for a male to tell his parent that he's pregnant.

* * * * *

After the Vanderwood's had greeted the angels and thanked them, they went for an explore around the new world.

Everyone but Zachariah and Jed remained. Jenny went with the angels to explore too.

"So, the demon leader was an angel, but Oliver killed her?" Duke asked with a frown. They had just been informed about Oliver's power so they knew what to expect if it ever revealed itself again.

"Yes, but it wasn't him, it was the power."

"And all the boys have this, even Vinny?"

"Yes, but Corey is the only one that has it just on the surface."

Madison and Duke looked at each other with interest. John was trying to keep up as much as possible.

"Why are they singled out like this? Why are they all being brought together?" Madison asked.

The angels looked at each other, knowing the reason they have formed these incredible bonds and are being brought together is because of their babies. But they shouldn't tell them that.

Just then, the door opened and in walked the two couples, saving the angels from digging themselves a whole.

Everyone's eyes perked up at the sight of them looking fresh and clean. They looked a lot happier too.

Oliver and Vinny sat opposite their parents at the table as Corey and Panuleon sat next to them.

Their parents watched, feeling completely relaxed that their children were safe.

Oliver poured some coffee for everyone apart from Panuleon, knowing that angels don't drink or eat anything.

Corey and Vinny took it, feeling that their tired eyes were starting to sting.

Oliver looked up to see his dad, watching him happily. He smiled his way but a flash of nerves punctured his chest.

He diverted his eyes to the breakfast on the table. When he saw the sausages, he had a weird craving for mash potato. He almost laughed to himself but managed to suppress the feeling.

He didn't know if cravings would come so soon, but according to Aliyah he was now seven weeks pregnant and his morning sickness and queasy feelings will start any day now.

Vinny tilted his head and gave him a sideways glance.

Oliver rubbed his eyes and pulled himself together.

Maybe this was just psychological.

He didn't know how he was supposed to feel at almost two months into his pregnancy. It's not something he would just know.

Corey was hungry but he was polite enough not to take food without asking, although he was in a room with vampires and felt too overwhelmed to ask.

"Help yourself to breakfast boys" Madison smiled, knowing this must be incredibly strange for them to take in.

They came from another world, one in which vampires don't exist and they wondered how humans coped with being in charge of other humans.

There must be a lot of conflicts.

Corey gave her a warm smile before picking up some toast.

As the boys had breakfast, the parents watched with heavy hearts. They were so pleased to see them in their sights again.

They wanted to ask about the other world and the demons, but they also know that they've been through hell and back, so it was best not to mention it.

Jed sat as his mind traced over the boys big news. He really hoped their parents would accept it. Why wouldn't they? It's not like the boys had a choice.

Although he was very excited for the arrival of babies, he loves children.

Vinny was watching Oliver, as always.

Although he was wondering when it was the best time to tell them.

Oliver was wondering the same and thought it might be easier if they just blurt it out. He was on the breach of doing that.

"Shall we tell them now?" Vinny whispered. He was beginning to feel desperate and he just wanted it out in the open.

Oliver nodded but they were searching each other's eyes, trying to find excuses to just run away but they had to face this.

"You say it" Oliver whispered.

Vinny shook his head, he knew it would come out angry and it wasn't something he was angry about.

"Why don't we say it together? I know what you'll say anyway" He suggested, but they were just being silly and it was very clear they were both nervous about it.

Their parents had noticed that they were whispering about something, but they didn't want to pry.

"I shouldn't be this nervous" Oliver chuckled, but even that sounded like it was full of nerves.

Vinny studied his face, knowing he was going to over think things and maybe work himself up about it.

Then, without thinking, he turned to his mum and dad who were already staring at them.

He cleared his throat and he could feel the words working their way up and out of his mouth.

"We have to tell you something."

The chat in the room slowly died down, making Vinny's heart beat faster.

They glanced at Oliver, who was clearly fidgeting.

"What is it?" Duke asked while sitting back in his chair.

"Just, promise you won't freak out," Vinny said as he rested a hand over Oliver's so he could fidget with his hand instead.

"Okay," Duke said, feeling a little suspicious but wanting his son to carry on.

"I know it might sound weird, but we're telling the truth-" Vinny really didn't know how to word it.

Maybe he wasn't ready to tell them.

He could feel Oliver fidgeting with his fingers and that gave him a little bit of courage to continue.

By now, their parents waited with anticipation. Vinny was visibly nervous, which is rare for anyone other than Oliver to witness.

He opened his mouth but shut it again.

He really needed to tell them but it was hard when he is still trying to accept it himself.

Jed could see him struggling and he was going to step in if he didn't say anything.

Vinny looked at Oliver for help. He just couldn't seem to get the words out of his mouth.

Oliver squeezed his hand tight and took a breath.

His eyes scanned their parents, knowing this was going to sound incredibly strange.

"I'm pregnant."
