HEAD VAMPIRE

ELLIE WAS SITTING BETWEEN SAM AND ALAN at the dinner table while Edgar sat next to Max. They all began to eat spaghetti and bread rolls at the table.

"Lucy, this looks terrific." Max says.

"Well I hope it tastes well too, Ellie helped me as well." Lucy says.

"Ah another cook in the house?" Max asks her.

"Yeah, my mom can't cook to save her life. When I turned 10 I started to cook and let's say after that I just kept making dinner." Ellie says.

"I remember your mother almost burnt down this house trying to make noodles." Lucy says laughing, she then breathed in. "Boy someone must have bad breath."

The boys all turned to Max while Ellie took another bite. Max looked at them wondering why they were staring at him. Nanook then got on the table being protective of Lucy.

"Nanook could you quit breathing on me?" Lucy says to the dog.

"Go on Nanook." Sam says and the dog gets off the table and sits behind Ellie and Sam.

Edgar looks at Ellie, Sam, and Alan and looks at the parmesan cheese filled with garlic. Sam grabs it and looks at Max.

"Would you like some parmesan?"

"Yes Sam, thank you."

"Sam graded the cheese himself, my son." Lucy says.

"Well another budding chef in the house." Max compliments.

Max takes it and places it on his pasta and takes a bite and then going into a coughing fit.

"Max are you alright?"

"No, I'm fine it's just garlic."

"I bet you hate garlic!" Sam says.

"No, I like garlic it's just too much. It's raw garlic."

Lucy takes the cheese with garlic and puts it on the side, apologizing.

"Garlic? How did that happen?"

"Guys, he likes garlic." Sam whispers.

Sam then grabs the glass of holy water and tried to give it to Max.

"Here, drink some water." Sam then pours it on his lap and Max jumps.

"Sam!" Lucy yells.

"Here let me get you a towel." Ellie says getting up and going into the kitchen.

She comes back in and gives him a towel to dry his pants off. She noticed that he wasn't burned or hissing in pain so she could only assume that he was human and not a vampire.

"Thank you Ellie." Max says gratefully taking the towel.

Edgar then gets up and turns off the lights in the room.

"Oh now what?" Lucy says aggravated.

"Must be a circuit break mom."

"He's not glowing." Edgar says to Sam.

"I know turn on the lights."

Edgar turns the lights back on and Sam grabs a mirror. He puts it in front of Max's face and when the lights hit on he frightens Max and Lucy. Lucy then grabs the mirror completely done with his foolishness.

"Sam what has gotten into you?"

"I think I know what's going here Lucy."

"You do?" Sam asks.

"Yes, and no I'm not trying to replace your father. Nor am I trying to take your mother away from you. I just want to be your friend that's all." Max then placed the towel on the chair.

"Goodnight Lucy." Max says leaving.

"Thanks a lot." Lucy says looking at Sam.

"Sorry Mom."

Sam looks at three and shakes his head.

"Total mistake guys."

The three of them make their way into the kitchen and the frog brothers take their stuff and said goodbye to Ellie and Sam and told them to call if they found out anything.

It was later at night and Ellie was laying bed when she heard a thump. She got up and went outside her room finding Michael standing in his room panting.

"Michael?" Ellie asks.

"Ellie." He comes over and hugs her tightly.
"I kept our promise."

"Come with me." Ellie takes his hand and goes over to Sam's room. Sam sees Michael and immediately yelled frightened.

"It's okay Sammy, I know who I am now."

"Don't kill me mike, I'm basically a good kid. Ellie and I can help you, you just tell us who the head vampire is. We thought it was Max but we were wrong, just work with us and you'll be okay."

"Michael! Michael!" Someone Shouts.

The three of them go to the window and Michael opens it to reveal Star.

"It's that girl, is she one of them?" Sam asks.

"I have to talk to you and Ellie, can I come up?" Star asks.

Ellie was about to open her mouth to say something but Michael beat her to it.

"No! Sam shut your window and lock your door." Michael says.

Then the wind blew into the room and Star was standing beside Sam, staring at Ellie and Michael.

"She's one of them!" Sam then rushes to the bed and hides. "And don't say it doesn't make her a bad person."

"You knew where David took me tonight, didn't you?" Michael says.

"Who's David?" Sam ask.

"Yes, it's my fault, if I hadn't met you two none of this would of happened!" Star says walking to them.

"But you warned me." Ellie says grateful.

"It was that night in the cave. That wasn't wine they gave me to drink, it was blood, David's blood."

"You drank someone's blood Michael? Are you crazy?" Sam yells still hiding under the covers.

"I'm like David now aren't I Star?"

"No, no your not your like Laddie and me, we're not like them until-"

"Until you make your first kill Michael. That's why I made you promise not to kill anyone tonight because once you do Sam and I can't help you." Ellie explains.

"Why didn't you kill me last night when I asked you for answers?"

"You were suppose to be my first, that's what David wanted. But I couldn't hurt Ellie, I knew how much she meant to you." Star says looking at Ellie with glossy eyes.

"Why are you here Star? What do you want from Ellie and me?"

"I came to tell you that it's not to late for you, but for me it gets harder and harder to resist. I'm getting weak."

Star went to go over to Ellie but Michael placed her behind him and gave Star a glare.

"Why did you come here?" He asks again.

"I thought you could help Laddie and me."

Ellie goes over to Star and takes her hand and gives her a small smile.

"We'll come and get you, your still half vampire so don't make your first kill until we get you tomorrow."

Star nodded and went out the window, Sam then got up and looked at the window.

"She's freaky." Sam comments.

Michael comes over and closes the window, he then takes Ellie's hand and squeezes it tightly. Sam sees their intertwined hands and gives a look of disgust.

"Gross, Ellie you still could do way better." Sam says getting back into bed and places the blankets on him.

Michael gives him the middle finger and goes into his room with Ellie.

"Don't be too loud!" Sam jokes.

"Sam!" Ellie complains.

The next day Sam and Ellie called the frog brothers telling them they had information about the vampires. Ellie was upstairs with Michael helping him up out of bed.

"I'm fine Ellie." He says groggily.

"No you are not, your already weak as it is without blood in your system and it's daytime which is another factor to your weakness." Ellie says.

"Michael! Ellie they're here!" Sam shouts.

Ellie let's him lean on her as he walks out of his room and down the stairs.

"He looks more like a zombie." Edgar says to Alan.

"Should I run him through?" Alan asks picking up a stake.

"Are you nuts? Put that away!" Ellie says to him.

Ellie takes him over to the chair and lets him sit down, Edgar comes over and looks at him.

"I only have one question for you. Have you taken any human victims yet?" He asks Michael.

"Of course not."

"If your telling the truth, then we can still save you."

"He's telling the truth." Sam reassures Edgar. "You are telling the truth, right?"

Ellie facepalms at Sam.

"Yes."

"We must destroy the leader of the vampires."

"It's David, right Michael?" Ellie asks him.

"Yeah."

"I don't need names, just take us to where they are." Edgar tells him.

They all take Michael's and Sam's grandpa's car, driving away while he's putting up a fence.

"Hey grandpa! Is it okay if we borrow your car?" Sam asks while driving away.

"I don't think he could of said no if we're leaving and we can't hear his answer." Ellie says to him.

Ellie was sitting in the front with Michael, while Sam and the Frog brothers sat in the back.  Michael began to drive to where the cliff was, when Ellie and him both went down there, but only Michael went inside.

He parks the car at the edge of the cliff, and everyone gets out but Ellie mostly helped Michael out of the car because he was so weak.

"Weapons check." Edgar says to Alan.

The two boys check each other of every weapon they have while Sam help Ellie with Michael.

"Hey I don't want you two down there." Michael tells Sam and Ellie.

"Well I'm going!" Sam says.

"Me too."

"This isn't a comic book, Sammy. These guys are brutal killers."

"So are the frog brothers." Sam defends.

But it didn't help his case when they looked at the frog brothers still checking their weapons. Ellie sighed but she looked at Michael and touched his cheek.

"Look who would you rather go down with them or us?"

"But if you go down there, I don't have the strength to protect you."

"This time, we'll protect you." Ellie says.

Michael didn't say anything and Ellie knew she had won the argument.

"Hey just so you know, if you try to stop us or vamp out I won't hesitate to stake you."

"Chill our Edgar." Ellie says rolling her eyes.

He nods and goes down the stairs with Alan that lead down to the cave, while Michael leans on Ellie and Sam.

"So where did you meet these two guys again?" Michael asks.

They reach the inside of the cave behind Alan and Edgar.

"Woah! Vampire hotel!"

Alan and Edgar climb down and see a bed, they go over and see Star.

"Here's one, let's stake her." Edgar pulls out the stake but Ellie stops him.

"Stop! She's only a half, she warned us about David. She good."

Edgar looks at Ellie and nods.

"Alright let's go find them, Come on Sam."

"Michael, help me with Star."

Ellie begins to wake Star up, she nudge her gently and Star groaned.

"Star we're getting you out of here." Michael says.

"No take Laddie first please." She says groggily.

"I'll take Laddie, you get Star."

Michael nods and picks up Star letting the blanket go around her body, blocking her from the sun. Ellie did the same things with Laddie and let him cuddle up with a teddy bear he was holding and tried not to wake him up.

Ellie and Michael carefully got Star and Laddie into the car but after he sat in the back of car to help Star and Laddie move away from the sun weakened him too.

"Michael!"

"Ellie..." He said before he passed out and fell into a deep sleep.

"Damn it!" Ellie said frustrated and made sure Michael was covered up too.

"Mike! Mike start the car!" Sam yelled.

Ellie heard Sam, Edgar, and Alan yelling, she grabbed the keys from Michael's pocket and started the car.

"Where's Michael?" Sam asked as he saw Ellie in the driver's seat.

"He fell asleep from being in the sunlight too long."

"We blew it man!" Alan says.

Ellie got a closer look at Edgar and Alan and they both were covered in slime.

"What the hell happened to you two?"

"They nailed one of the vampires but the others one woke up, tried to grab me too." Sam says.

"Come on guys get in!" Ellie says to the Frog brothers.

"We don't ride with vampires." Edgar says.

"Then stay here." Sam tells them.

The boys looked at each other and then over the cliff, knowing that they didn't want to stay too long.

"We do Now." Edgar says to his brother, grabbing his shirt and dragging him quickly.

"Yeah." Alan says shakily.

"Come on Ellie, let's get out of here."

They got in the front with Sam and Ellie, Ellie drove the car away from the cave. But she knew they were coming, coming for revenge.
