Please be advised that Blood in the Lungs is the second book in this series. The first book (Flame in the Veins) can be found on my profile. This book can't be read as a stand-alone.

With that said, thank you to those who have read the first book and have found their way here. A lot happened when we were last together, are you sure you're prepared for the journey ahead? You'll need more than your wits to attend this tale. A bottle of hard liquor is recommended.

Also, it's come to my attention that readers are omitting sleep in order to consume my stories. Though I recommend a healthy sleep schedule, my stories are also best read in the dark where each noise has the potential to be a demon. So, sacrifice sleep to your heart's content. Just remember to caffeinate before you run into any fellow humans the next day. For their sake.

This book contains creatures from the darkest pits of the universe, chaotic leaders playing the part of saviour, the loss of comfort from the lies we tell ourselves, enough blood to drown a small country, and the clear lack of a therapist in the vicinity.

This book includes a combination of different religions and takes inspiration from numerous cultures. Though I try to be as open-minded and as considerate as possible, I myself am not religious. Taking that into consideration, please message me if I've depicted something in an insensitive way. Though this is a work of fiction and I've merely taken inspiration, I'm only one person and can't know all.

This book also contains depictions of psychosis, and though in novel format it's difficult to capture the true identity of psychosis and schizophrenia, it does not negate the fact that the mental illness is very real and very traumatising. If you suffer from such a thing - or have any type of contact with it - please do not hesitate to contact me if you feel I have depicted something wrong, or simply to talk to someone about anything.
