Chapter 40: Into The Lion's Den (Part 2)
"Come on my sweet little Kellie~ Marry me or I'll kill your family." Xander's tone was sweet at first, but twisted darkly as he glares at my mother.
She was alive! All this time, thinking she was dead, but she was here —here with this beast! I growl as I got ready to attack. Dean didn't hesitate to stop me.
He couldn't. I was someone –no —something rare to him, including the others. Yet again, the prophecy spoke of this scene to come, so I'm guessing he didn't want to mess with it and risk ruining our sneak attack.
Xander was right there. Only a few feet away. It drove me mad, almost. What if I mess up? I'll ruin it all with a rushed movement. I don't want to attack too early and end up dead. I can't die now.
Mother was here. Safe and sound –for the most part, at least. Xander moved closer to my reach below.
I then projected myself from the tree and tackled him. He shouted out in pure shock as everything went off; the others fell from the trees to land on whoever else was there.
Dean had warned me to kill Xander quickly because if I did, the rest of the wolves would not attack once the King is dead. Kellie's eyes widen at me as she backed away.
My eyes were now a pinkish red as I hissed in his face. "Hello, my king." I growl lowly in a mocking tone. The King's bright bronze colored eyes widen.
"No. Why the hell are you here?!" He whines.
"To kill you once and for all." I growl. "You've been causing so much chaos for the humans and vampires! It's time this ends –now."
Xander just laughs at me. I fell silent among the many cries for help from the guests that the other vampires were now killing.
"You really think I'm the main problem here, darling? I've helped the vampire king, Alux, become who he is today; then power and lust took over his mind. He wants me dead so he can become the most powerful." Xander tells me.
I didn't understand. Was this really why Alux rushed us?
I growl, not noticing my mother was listening in. "No! You're lying just to save yourself!" I lift him by the collar of his shirt the slap him, I heard a slight pop. Oops.
He closed his eyes in pain from his jaw hanging at an awkward position. "Oh! I'm sorry!" I feel bad for hurting him now.
"Excuse me, I may hate this man with all of my being, but he is right. That's why I left the vampires and stayed with my human husband to live a peaceful life." My mother says.
I turn to look at her to meet those lavender orbs. I lost it. "Is that why you left mom?" I felt my voice give myself away from almost crying.
Her eyes widen. "E-Excuse me?" She was taken aback. "It's me. Silvia." I add.
Does she not remember me?
