Prologue

Ętaure looked above his head to see a emperor flying just over him. He ran towards the town when he realized the dragon was his uncle, curious He walked towards the castle to the throne room door. He opened it a crack and put his eye up to it.

"You won our last duel by chance. You are nothing but a coward and a fool," he heard his uncle say.

"I do not accept your challenge now either turn back or I will have my guards arrest you," Ętaure father snapped.

His uncle chuckled wickedly. "Your guards, have already been subdued, and either you will accept my challenge or I'll bring it to your son."

Ętaure heard footsteps coming towards him and forced himself to walk calmly away. He dogged his uncles guards and walked out of the castle, then breaking into a run he vanished into the forest

Tharuil took a deep breath, it always made him nervous when he snuck out of the palace. Of course he was aloud to leave the castle but he preferred not to be questioned as to where he was going and how long he would be gone.

He grabbed his pack from his bunk beneath the other guard he was currently roomed with. Walking to the other side of the room he opened the window glancing one more time around the room to make sure he hadn't left anything. Crouching on the brim of the window he strapped his pack onto his back making sure it was same before stepping off the ledge.

The air whistling in his ears and the familiar feeling of having his breath ripped from his lungs. He let himself fall a little further before reaching for the wall. His fingers slid down the smooth marble surface. There was the smallest ridge that Tharuil fingers caught on. Holding on with barley his fingertips Tharuil looked through the window that the ridge was above. Inside was a room with a few desks surrounded by bookshelves. Planting his feet on the window Tharuil pushed off still holding onto the ledge. His feet he keeps flexed and when he neared the window again he whispered a spell. His feet when right through the window without breaking it and his body followed soon after. The room was dark and vacant, no doubt Deak, the royal librarian was asleep by now.

Five steps brought him to an old wooden desk whose drawer he open and inside placed a frost laced petal from a rose. Shutting the drawer with a soft smile he jumped out the window as is if he had no solid mass. The fall wasn't as long as the last and this time he landed in a roof. He broke into a sprint before launching himself off the roof jumping over another one and hitting the roof of the royal stables. He jumped from that roof a distance to the stone wall that protected the royal land. He scaled the wall with ease jumping over the top and landing on a roof of a house. Launching himself from rooftop to rooftop he exited the city. Once in the woods he turned left taking the shortest distance to the border. He didn't hesitate before crossing into the dark forest where light elves were band from. He knew of a temple in not to far where he had been visiting and sometimes staying.

Upon reaching the temple he climbed to the top where he had a few scrolls and tablets of stone with ancient writing on them. Kneeling he paid homage to the gods before grabbing an open scroll. He read its contents in his head before saying them out loud. He waited for a few seconds waiting for something to happen to no profit . After a while he gave up and decided to repeat the phrase once more. Something in the atmosphere changed and slowly the scenery faded around him and reformed till he found himself in a green forest.

Could this be his destination, the Plasma forest of another realm? He only got a short look around before exhaustion consumed him. The world blurred around him, his eyelids closed and sleep quickly overcame him.
