Chapter 32: A New Beginning
The following morning, the sun shone brightly over Disney World, casting a golden glow over everything. The excitement of Jey's proposal still hung in the air like a dream, and the family couldn't stop talking about it. Isa's hand instinctively went to the engagement ring Jey had slipped on her finger the night before, as if to confirm that it wasn't just a beautiful dream.
The kids were already awake, bouncing around their hotel room, full of energy after an exciting day. Mateo was asking for waffles, Sofia was trying to convince Jey and Isa to go on the teacups again, and Kingston, still in a sleepy haze, was clinging to his mom, not ready to start the day.
Jey chuckled as he walked over to Isa, wrapping an arm around her waist. "You good, fiancée?" he asked, his voice teasing yet filled with love.
Isa smiled, leaning into him. "It still feels surreal, but yes. I think I'm finally processing it all."
"Good," Jey said, kissing the top of her head. "Because we've got a big day ahead. We're going to make the most of this trip. And hey, I'm officially your future husband now. You ready for that?"
Isa laughed softly, her heart full. "I think so. But we're going to need a lot of coffee to keep up with these kids."
Jey's eyes sparkled with excitement. "I've got it covered," he said, winking as he headed to the door. "I'll grab breakfast. You get the kids ready."
As Isa began the task of wrangling the kids and getting them dressed, she couldn't help but smile at how easily everything seemed to fall into place. It was a feeling she hadn't had in a long time-like the chaos of her life had finally calmed down, if only for a moment. And as she looked down at her ring, she realized that this was just the beginning of something even more beautiful than she could have ever imagined.
After breakfast, the family headed back to the park. The twins were eager to try new rides, and Kingston's eyes lit up at the sight of all the colorful attractions. Isa could feel the weight of her engagement settling into her heart, but the focus of the day quickly shifted to enjoying the time together.
Jey stayed close to her, his hand resting on the small of her back as they navigated the crowded paths, laughing as the kids rushed from one ride to the next. Roman, Galina, and the rest of the family were there too, creating an atmosphere of joy and laughter as they all celebrated this special moment together.
As they approached the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, Isa felt Jey's hand slip into hers, the touch grounding her in the present. "How are you feeling, really?" Jey asked, looking at her with concern.
"I'm good," Isa replied, her smile softening. "I'm just taking it all in. It's a lot to process, but... I'm really happy."
Jey smiled back, squeezing her hand. "I'm happy too. I've never been more sure of anything in my life."
"Same here," Isa said, her voice steady and full of confidence. "I can't wait to see what's next for us."
The kids were impatiently pulling them toward the ride, eager to get on. Isa's thoughts shifted to her future-one filled with Jey and their growing family. She couldn't wait for this next chapter of her life to unfold, side by side with the man who had always been her
