Chapter 2

The next morning, (Y/N) was sat in the Dining Room with his Mother and Sisters, eating a delicious breakfast with them, said breakfast was bloody meat prepared by the kitchen staff, the man of the Castle was sat beside his mother as he raised his fork to his lips, putting the bloody flesh into his mouth and chewing it slowly.

"Be sure to eat plenty, my Son, you will be away for quite some time today" Lady Dimitrescu said to him as she cut herself a piece of the bloody flesh with a sharp knife, she wore one of her White dresses as usual, her hair had also been brushed and tamed.

"Yes, Mother" (Y/N) said as he licked some of the blood from his lip, stabbing another piece of meat with his fork and picking it up before he popped the morsel into his mouth, sighing at the taste.

"What do you think you will be doing with Lady Beneviento today, big Brother?" Daniela asked him curiously as she too ate carefully with utensils, their Mother was very adamant that the girls eat like proper ladies at the dinner table, and save turning into flies or savagely taking a chunk out of someone's neck and making a mess on the floor and carpets for if they ever have an intruder.

"I am not certain, dear Sister, I shall likely find out what I am doing once I arrive at her Manor House" (Y/N) said after he had swallowed his food and set down his cutlery, he had a feeling that he should wait to eat more since his siblings would likely wish to speak to him more.

"Maybe she'll want you to help her look after her Dolls? Mother says she's a Doll maker after all" Bela suggested helpfully as she carefully wiped some blood from her lips as she enjoyed her meal.

"And she always carries around that annoying one in her arms" Cassandra added in before she popped a rather sizable chunk of meat into her mouth.

"I doubt it, I'm certain she has handmaidens of her own, at least for now" (Y/N) replied, the family talked and ate together for a while until the time came for him to make his way down to the Beneviento Grounds, he stood in the Entrance Hall of the Castle, dressed in a White Suit that was buttoned up all the way, as well as gloves, shoes with thick socks and he also wore a wide brimmed hat on his head as well, ensuring to cover up all possibly exposed skin from the sunlight.

"Make certain your fully covered, my Son, we don't want any exposure to sunlight while your assisting Lady Beneviento" Alcina said as she went and adjusted her son's clothing, trying her best to make certain he looked proper for his visit.

"Of course, Mother, maybe I should buy a cloak from the Duke?" (Y/N) said as he adjusted his clothing slightly, so it was more comfortable on his body.

"Ooh, Big Brother, let me buy you one!" Daniela said as she bounced in place excitedly.

"No, I want to buy it for him!" Bela said as she pushed Daniela, making her stumble and almost fall over.

"No I will!" Daniela exclaimed before the three Sisters started arguing yet again.

"Now, Daughters, I won't have you arguing when we are seeing your Brother off" Lady Dimitrescu said sternly as she gave her Daughters a look that instantly made them stop arguing.

"Sorry, Mother" the three girls said as they looked to the floor, feeling bad for behaving as they did, and making (Y/N) laugh awkwardly, wondering how they always seem to argue when doing something for him.

"Well... I'll be off now, I will give Lady Beneviento your regards, Mother" (Y/N) said to his Mother with a smile, turning to walk to the Castle's front doors.

"Be careful, (Y/N), and stay safe" Alcina called after him before she turned and ushered his younger Sisters out of the room, to avoid them all suffering the ill effects of the cold climate outside.

"See you later, Brother!" Bela called out to him, he waited until he heard the sound of the door to the Southern Corridor close and lock, the Maids then opened the door for him and allowed him to step out of the Castle once again.

He then took a deep breath of the fresh, mountain air and felt the chill on his face as he smiled to himself, the crisp mountain air helped him to relax as he decided to take a stroll through the Village to the Beneviento Grounds.

The Black haired giant of a man walked out of the Carriage Gate and started to make his way down the path from the castle, passing by the small Vineyard that was outside of the Castle, a Crow cawing as it sat perched atop one of the scarecrows that were nailed out to protect the crops, he then ducked through the tunnels that connected the Castle to the Village, passing by the piled offerings of Grapes and berries that his Mother would use for her Wine that the Staff would gather for her and he made his way outside and across the wooden Drawbridge to the gate.

He stopped and took a deep breath before he opened the heavy stone doors, they slowly swung open and allowed (Y/N) to walk through to the Graveyard, passing by the tombs and gravestones that had been placed in the small space and the fence that encircled the Church the Villagers would go to worship the Black God, and hear the words of Mother Miranda.

(Y/N) adjusted his hat on his head and arrived in the middle of the Village, he heard fearful whispers as the people who had adopted the faith of the Black God looked to him fearfully, rumors had spread among the common folk about the Dimitrescu Family's harsh rule, as well as the rumors of murder and Cannibalism that take place within the Castle's walls.

He just kept walking with the noble grace that was drilled into him growing up, passing by the statue of the Maiden of War and walking up the path to the Altar where the Duke would sometimes stop his wagon to sell his wares and act as a passage to other sections of the Village.

He approached the gates and opened them, walking into the Altar area and saw the Duke's Carriage parked in it's usual spot, the large man was preparing to do business with the Villagers, shifting himself around to make sure things were within reach for him.

"Ah, Lord Dimitrescu! Such a pleasure to see you once again, on your way to visit Lady Beneviento, yes?" the Duke said in his usual jolly way as his meaty hands rested on his bloated belly with a smile on his face.

"Greetings, ser Duke, that is indeed the case" (Y/N) said as he stopped walking and approached the Duke's carriage, pleased to see the merchant was back in town now.

"Excellent timing! I in fact have a delivery for the lady, would you mind terribly taking it with you, since you are already on your way?" the Duke asked as he shifted himself around and picked up a wooden box which had been secured with a latch.

"Very well, I suppose I can do that" (Y/N) said as he nodded to the overweight man, thinking that it wouldn't be a problem since he was already spending the day down there.

"Wonderful, I thank you for this, young Lord" the Duke said, sounding very pleased that he would have some assistance with a delivery, (Y/N) took the box and nodded to the Duke before he turned and walked past the carriage and to the gate to Lady Beneviento's grounds.

He walked his way through the short forest path and then slowly crossed a Suspension Bridge, which he was very cautious about in case he fell through the wooden boards and ended up falling into the freezing river below.

He crossed over the Bridge and passed by the iron gates to the Beneviento Gardens, he then walked along the path toward the Beneviento House passing by the gate to the North Gardens, where the Lady's personal Gardner also lived, making his way further along and soon reached the passage for the elevator up to Lady Beneviento's House, he opened the doors and went into the tunnel, which was lit with candles that were placed on the walls and the elevator.

"Urăsc pasajele mici..." (Y/N) muttered to himself in Romanian as he looked into the cramped-for-his-size elevator car, he sighed and ducked into the elevator, pressing the button to go up, he had to kneel as he waited for the elevator car to reach the top of the shaft.

The car came to a shaking halt and the barred doors opened to a narrow tunnel, making the young man sigh in annoyance before walking through the tunnel and soon reaching the outside, groaning slightly as he stretched his muscles out, his back making a few pleasant cracks as he stretched and moved, he then adjusted the Hat he was wearing and made his way to the Beneviento House he could hear the sound of gallons of water falling and crashing against the rocks to a space below and the sound of his footsteps in the snowy ground.

As he approached the doors to the House one of them suddenly opened and he saw one of Lady Beneviento's two Maids outside, they stood at attention when they saw his large form approach the House.

"Lord Dimitrescu, the Lady is waiting for you in the Living Room, please follow me" the Maid said to the giant of a man, who nodded in response and followed the more mature women into the House, crossing the Foyer and arriving in the Living Room where he saw Lady Beneviento sat in the armchair with Angie sat on her lap.

"Finally! Thought you weren't coming today!" Angie exclaimed loudly as she was moving around in Donna's lap, like a hyperactive child as Lady Beneviento's veil looked toward him as he walked into view.

"Come on, sit down! And you! Go get us something to drink and some snacks!" Angie said impatiently, the Maid nodded and left to make some tea and snacks for the Nobles to enjoy while they sat together.

(Y/N) the took a seat on the large couch in the Living Room area, making himself comfortable in his seat when he saw something on a nearby cupboard, he looked over at the movement and was surprised to see that Dragon Doll he bought for Donna was... somehow moving like it was alive, flapping it's little wings and taking flight, or perhaps levitating like Angie could?

"Like it? Donna implanted a piece of her Cadou into it, now it's alive" Angie said as she was vibrating with excitement on the Lady's lap as the Dragon doll landed on the table with a wooden clunk and then started to look around the room.

"You were able to remove a piece of your Cadou, Lady Beneviento?" (Y/N) asked her in surprise, and also some concern, depending on where her Cadous had been implanted, it might cause her a lot of pain and discomfort.

"Yeah! Donna can take out little pieces of it and implant it into her dolls, it helps them come alive, like me, but I'M special! Donna's favourite!" Angie said to him as the Dragon Doll then crawled over to Donna and started to climb up her black dress.

"Hey! Watch it! Don't go poking holes in Donna's dress you dummy!" Angie shouted as the Dragon doll climbed up Donna's dress and soon perched on her shoulder and seemed to settle there.

"Most impressive... though I do hope it doesn't cause you any harm?" (Y/N) asked her as his Honey-Gold eyes returned to the Ghostly Lady's veiled face.

"It's fiiiine! Really!" Angie said impatiently as she shifted around in Donna's lap, glancing at the doorway that the Maid had gone to earlier grumbling and moving around with energy, after a little bit the door opened up and said maid was back, this time carrying a covered tray.

"FINALLY! How much longer did you plan for us to wait!" Angie suddenly shouted as she levitated out of Donna's lap and flew at the Maid, almost making the older woman fall over from her suddenly getting so close.

"My apologies, Lady Angie, we wanted to make sure we brought out the appropriate snacks and refreshments for our Lady and her guest" the Maid said in a calm manner as she continued to walk toward (Y/N) and the Lady Beneviento, who now had the Dragon doll in her lap and was carefully running her fingers over it like she was petting a cat.

"Hey! Out of the way, that's MY seat!" Angie screeched as she ran over to Donna, her little wooden feet tapping on the floor and carpet until she reached Donna and tried to shoo the Dragon out of her lap, while the Maid set down the covered tray.

"I do hope these will be satisfactory to you, Lord Dimitrescu, your Mother had also sent ahead a bottle of her wine for your time with us" the maid said professionally as she lifted the lid, revealing a tea pot that had flowers painted across the outside and had steam drifting from the spout, a pair of teacups painted the same way as the pot and a small plate that had biscuits.

(Y/N) nodded to the Maid as she poured the two a cup of Herbal Tea each, Angiel had also managed to reclaim her spot on Donna's lap while the Dragon had moved and now rested on (Y/N)'s lap, the two sat in the living room and talked for the most part, Angie talking for Donna as usual.

Then there came a knock on the door and the younger Maid came into the room, she looked at (Y/N) and paled fearfully as his gaze went to her.

"L-Lady Beneviento, I-I apologise but... Lady Claudia is awake and she is asking for you" the younger maid said as she turned her gaze to the doll maker, trying not to look at the giant man sat opposite to her Mistress.

Donna then nodded and she stood up from her seat, carrying Angie in her arms as she slowly started to make her way to the door to go and see young Claudia, with Angie twisting her head around to look at (Y/N).

"Be right back, DON'T GO ANYWHERE!" she said loudly before Donna left the room, leaving (Y/N) to sit in the room with Donna's living Dragon puppet and the older Maid in service to the lady of the House.

The room became quiet as the Maid stood at attention close by in case he would ask for anything, like a refill on the tea, or a glass of his Mother's wine that had been sent ahead of their visit, there was likely some Wine also at Lord Moreau and Heisenberg's areas of the Village.

Though (Y/N) had a feeling Heisenberg likely tossed those bottles out just to be a jerk to his mother, he'd likely be eating a worker in his factory or a villager if he really needed to, he'd just have to wait and see what the guy would act like.

He could hear some muffled conversation from the room above, Angie being a bit quieter as well, which was quite a surprise considering how loud she normally was, some time passed by and after a while Angie floated back into the room.

"Hey, Mr. Giant man, looks like visit's over for today, you should get going" Angie said

"Oh? I suppose Lady Beneviento will be busy caring for young Claudia?" (Y/N) asked as he stood up from the seat, his legs making a crack as he stood up from sitting in the seat for so long.

"Yeah, and you'll scare her with your giant body! So get lost!" she said loudly as she floated back, (Y/N) felt his jaw twitch in irritation at the Doll's tone of voice and being suddenly kicked out for something that wasn't his fault, but... he had to remember that she belonged to one of the Four Lords of the Village, at the very least he could tolerate the animated pile of porceline and wood.

"Very well, I do hope they will be well soon" he said as he walked out of the little alcove and ducked through the doorway, he then started to cross the Foyer to the front door of the House, when he remembered the Duke's request.

"I almost forgot... the Duke asked for me to deliver this to the Lady" (Y/N) said as he took the wooden box out of his suit jacket and placed it on the table in the middle of the room, before he continued to the door.

"Hey! We're looking forward to next time~" Angie said in a sing-song voice as she floated up to the second floor of the House and returned to Donna, (Y/N) shook his head, opened the door and ducked through, stepping back out into the chill air.

He then began to make his way back to Castle Dimitrescu, would ALL of his visits to the Beneviento house end like this?
