Chapter 14

DECEMBER

Not too long later it was the beginning of the Christmas Holidays, many of the students were packing their cases to go back home and spend their Holidays with their families, while a few of them would remain at the castle for various reasons.

Right now (Y/N) was eagerly packing his bags to return back to his Family's Castle for the next three weeks, he was especially eager to see his Mother and Sisters again after three months being away from them all.

"These School Trunks are very convenient, I need to see if I can learn the spell too" (Y/N) said to himself, imagining that it would be very useful to have something with so much space and wouldn't be too heavy to carry, he soon finished putting everything away into said trunk for the journey back home.

Once he had packed all of his clothes, books and other supplies he took the Trunk and went into the Slytherin Common Room, where he saw many of his House mates were waiting around for their time to leave the school and return home, he soon saw Abigail who didn't look happy because Draco Malfoy and his two goons seemed to have cornered her.

"I'm telling you, it will tarnish your reputation if you continue to associate with that big oaf, it's bad enough that he sullies the reputation of Slytherin with his presence, but it's far worse if he ruins the reputation of proper, Pure-blood families such as yours" Draco Malfoy said to her in his arrogant tone of voice, while the two oafs stood with him.

"Malfoy, I can be friends with whoever I wish to, besides my parents don't care for that Pure-blood nonsense" Abigail replied to him, not looking happy that he decided to confront her like this about something so dumb, and corner her with his two goons.

"Nonsense? It's an important part of maintaining the Wizarding World, you should pick your friends more carefully, Saltstone, that Dimitrescu freak will only drag you down, and ruin your future" Draco exclaimed at her as if it were obvious that would happen, but Abigail wasn't convinced.

"Funny how you only decide to say this after we managed to get top marks in all of our classes, I think your just saying this to try and have me work with you instead of (Y/N)" Abigail replied to him sassily, (Y/N) smirked at her response to him because it was likely true.

"Well of course, he's obviously using you to get better marks, there's no way a Half-blood can out perform a Pure-blood in any form of magical skill" Malfoy said to her, as if what he was saying made perfect sense.

"Then your in for a real surprise, Malfoy, I think he'll be the best thing to happen to Slytherin, now then, if you don't mind, I have to finish packing" Abigail said as she went to leave, only for Goyle to grab her rather roughly by her arm and giving her a mean look.

"Let me go, you big oaf!" Abigail exclaimed as she tried to pull her arm free, Crabbe then raised his fist to hit her making her close her eyes and brace for impact, but... nothing happened, she peeked her eyes open only to see a gloved hand gripping Goyle's wrist tightly, making the boy whimper in pain.

"Now... what's this then?" (Y/N) said in an eerily calm voice, the air in the Common Room suddenly grew colder, Abigail looked up and saw that he had a serious looking frown on his face, he was not happy.

"Three boys intimidating and ganging up on a girl... this just won't do" (Y/N) said as he suddenly squeezed Crabbe's wrist, making a crack come from his wrist making the boy cry out in pain, the Dimitrescu Boy's enhanced strength making easily breaking the boy's wrist, as the room turned cold as ice.

Draco was frozen in fear as he looked at the much larger man and the look of anger on his face, Goyle was shaking at the look he was under as well, even Abigail felt a little nervous from the anger she felt, his magic energy leaked out in response to his emotions, making the air heavy and hard to breathe, several of the other Slytherins in the Common Room suddenly found it hard to breathe, and felt cold chills running down their spines from what they felt.

"I suggest you remove your hands from Lady Saltstone, before I remove them for you" (Y/N) said as he kept his glare focused on Goyle, his pupils narrowing into slits as his Honey-Gold iris glowed slightly in response to his anger, Goyle quickly let Abigail go and she quickly moved away from the two boys and behind her best friend, rubbing her sore arm quietly.

"Now... kindly remove yourselves from my sight" (Y/N) said, barking the last part with anger and authority as he practically threw Crabbe at the other two, they quickly scrambled away and rushed out of the Common Room, with Crabbe whimpering and holding his broken wrist while (Y/N)'s eyes watched the terrified boys until they were finally out of his sight.

"Are you alright?" (Y/N) asked as he turned his gaze to Abigail, the air suddenly went lighter and it became easier to breathe as he seemed to have calmed down.

"Y-Yes... thanks for the help, (Y/N)" Abigail said as she smiled up at him, holding her arm from the soreness of that thug's grip, which could bruise later down the line.

"Not a problem, now then... I believe we should be making our way to the Carriages?" (Y/N) said to the young girl with a raised brow, wanting them to hurry and make their way to the station soon.

"Oh, right! I'll go finish packing and get my trunk" Abigail said to him with a smile, before she hurried away to the Girl's Dorms to pick up her luggage, as she reached the steps to the rooms she stopped and glanced back at the Slytherin Vampire over her shoulder.

(That was intense, he has such powerful Magic...) Abigail thought to herself, as she remembered the heaviness in the air as his magical power leaked from his body, it felt very menacing... perhaps because of him being a vampire, or maybe because of the fact he was angry?

She hurried off to get her Trunk and get ready to go home, perhaps she could have him meet her parents on the Platform at King's Cross Station?

Not too long later, the two Slytherin Students arrived at the Train Station, walking through the snow to the Platform and getting on the Train, they walked down the length of the Train together when they passed by an open door.

"Abigail, (Y/N)!" Rose called out as she went to the door and called out to the two Slytherin students, also waving to them with a smile on her face.

"Rose, hey there" Abigail said with a smile as she turned around and walked back to the open compartment door.

"Lady Tyler, I'm glad to see you again" (Y/N) said formally to the young girl, bowing his head slightly to her with a smile on his face, which Rose returned happily.

"Hey, come on, sit in here with us" Clara said from inside the compartment, Abigail and the taller young man both agreed and walked in with their luggage, they saw that both Amy and Rory were also here, with Amy looking a bit unhappy at (Y/N)'s arrival.

"Thanks for inviting us to sit with you" Abigail said as she sat next to Rose with (Y/N) while Amy sat opposite with Rory and Clara, with the young man sitting between both girls, at Rose's insistence.

"Not a problem, we're happy to have you with us for the ride, right Amy?" Clara said as she gave a rather pointed look at the Scottish Redhead.

"Yes, of course, as long as someone's careful about their "snacks" today" Amy said as she looked pointedly at (Y/N) with a serious look on her face.

"So (Y/N), what'll you be doing for the holidays?" Clara asked the taller man curiously, wanting to change the subject to something a bit more cheerful.

"I believe I shall be spending my time at my Family's Castle, with my Mother and Sisters" (Y/N) said to Clara with a happy smile on his face, however the mention of his family home seemed to surprise the girls and Rory.

"Your family owns a castle?" Rory asked him, sounding very surprised about the fact they knew someone who lived in a Castle.

"Yes, well, she inherited it after the deaths of members of her family when I was eight-teen years of age, we moved back to the Castle and she claimed it and partial rule of the Village as her birthright" (Y/N) explained to the boy and girls in the compartment, speaking with pride in his voice.

"So, your like, the heir to royalty, like a Pure-blood?" Abigail asked him, curious about what his status in the Muggle world might be now.

"Not Royalty, just Nobility, my Mother is a Countess and my Family are one of four ruling Noble Families that control the mountains and the Village, they are Dimitrescu, Heisenberg, Moreau and Beneviento" (Y/N) explained to the group, the girls were curious now about these other ruling families, and about (Y/N) himself.

"Wow, so... are they like you and your family, Vampires, I mean?" Rose asked him, wondering if the Village was ruled by Vampires, with normal Humans as their subjects.

"No, they are each unique in their own way, but my Mother, Sisters and I are the only Vampires in our home" (Y/N) said to them, keeping to the cover story they had made up for his attendance to Hogwarts.

"Are you going to get them anything before you go home?" Rose asked him, changing the subject and wanting to know more about his family, though... the others were also quite curious about his family.

"Hmm... maybe, though I don't know how I would manage to drag some man-things back home for them" (Y/N) said as he held his chin in thought, the girls suddenly got the chills from what he had just said.

"Woah now! Hold it right there, Vampie boy, you're not going to go abducting Muggles to feed to your family" Amy said to him sternly, the others all nodded in agreement, he'd likely get in a LOT of trouble with the Ministry of Magic if he tried to abduct Muggles for himself and his family.

"What else could I possibly get them?" (Y/N) asked them all, a small frown on his face as he tried to think about what else he could get his family for Christmas.

"Well... do you know what kind of things they like?" Rory asked him hesitantly, now kind of worried about the much taller man they were all sitting with.

"Hmm... well my Mother is a Vinter, so... perhaps I could see about getting her some Wizard Wine?" (Y/N) said as he held his chin in thought.

"You mum makes wine? Is that why your so good at Potions?" Abigail asked him curiously.

"But, all you have to do to make wine is step on grapes, right?" Amy said as she lookerd between the two Slytherins.

"Oh no, there's more to it at times, Mother would sometimes have me help her make her special Sanguis Virginis Wine, it's one of the more sophisticated vintages she makes, and she sells them across the world, giving her a good source of income" (Y/N) explained to the girls again, of course leaving out the fact that his Mother would add the blood of virgin Maidens to the wine.

"Maybe you could look at the selections of Wines? There's probably a few you could pick from to give her" Rose suggested to him with a smile on her face, showing her teeth.

"Or get a bottle of Firewhiskey" Amy added in casually with a smirk on her face.

"What about your Sisters, do you know what they like?" Clara asked him, now wanting to know a bit more about his younger sisters.

"Well... Bela is the oldest, she's quiet but has a rather strong head on her shoulders, then there's Cassandra, she's the middle child, she's a bit of a sadist who likes to hunt and kill her prey, and there's my youngest sister, Daniela, she loves books, spends a lot of time in the Library at home" (Y/N) said with a soft smile on his face as he recalled some of the times he spent with his Sisters, staying up late into the night talking with Bela, hunting through the Castle halls and dungeons with Cassandra, and the times he would read with Daniela in the library.

As the students and the much older man spoke, a certain bushy haired girl came to the door, smiling to Rose before her smile fell when she saw the two Slytherins that were also sharing the compartment.

"Oh, hello Hermione" Rose said, greeting the bushy haired girl ina friendly way, Amy, Clara and Abigail looking to the new face curiously, while (Y/N) recognised the girl from the bathroom with that Troll.

"Hello Rose, how are you?" Hermione asked the Second Year Gryffindor girl, pointedly trying to ignore the presence of (Y/N) Dimitrescu, still not happy about being shown up so much in classes she had with him.

"I'm good, are you looking for a place to sit? Sorry it looks like we're full here" Rose said to the younger girl, giving her an apologetic smile.

"No, sorry, I'd rather find somewhere quiet so I can read..." Hermione said to her as she gave Rose a smile, her Chocolate-Brown eyes flicking toward (Y/N) before going back to Rose.

"That's a shame, maybe next time?" Abigail said to the First Year Gryffindor girl, giving her a friendly smile.

"Yes... maybe next time" Hermione said as she narrowed her eyes at Abigail in suspicion and distrust, before she turned and left, the group soon went back to talking or reading books for the long journey back to King's Cross Station, with Rory soon falling asleep with his head on Amy's shoulder.

Not too long later, the Red Train soon began to slow and the group picked up their trunks and cases, seeing the Station appear in the windows of the train cars, they all left the Train and joined the crowds of students that had disembarked the train and went to meet their families.

(Y/N) ducked his way through the doorway of the Train and stepped out onto the platform, gazing out over the crowd for any familiar people, such as his Mother of Miss Gordon.

"(Y/N), (Y/N), over here!" he heard a familiar voice calling out to him, he glanced over and saw Abigail waving over to him, standing with two grown adults who (Y/N) assumed must be her mother and father, he assumed she must want him to meet her parents and walked over toward them.

"Mum, Dad, this is (Y/N), the friend I told you about in my letter home" Abigail said with a big smile on her face, her mother and father both paling as they saw just how tall the young man in question was compared to them, they had a brief conversation before someone else called out for the man in question, he glanced over to see Melinda stood there with a friendly smile on her face, wearing a thick, grey winter coat that reached just below her knees, jeans and warm boots, she also had a white scarf wrapped around her neck, grey gloves covering her hands, and a grey winter hat.

"There you are, (Y/N), you ready to go home now?" Melinda asked him with a smile as she approached, stopping close to him and the Saltstone Family, the Dimitrescu boy smiled at her before they started to make their way to the exit to King's Cross Station, bidding a short farewell to Abigail and her parents as they did.

As they stepped through the barrier between the two Stations, they were soon greeted by a good many Mortals who gawked at (Y/N) as he made his way up to the streets of London with Melinda.

"So, how has Hogwarts been so far, have you been adjusting well since I last saw you?" Melinda asked him as they walked along the street together toward the Leaky Cauldron.

"Yes, I've adjusted very well, and I seem to be doing well in all of my classes" (Y/N) replied to her politely, ignoring the looks he got from the Muggles as he walked with the Ministry Official.

"That's good, and... you haven't been having any trouble from any of the other Houses? Slytherin isn't a very popular House, it only got worse once "he" left Hogwarts and started causing trouble" Melinda said as she looked up to him with a concerned look, hoping he wouldn't be having trouble because of the stigma attached to his House.

"No, the most I've had to deal with were a few sideways glances, and a few other Slytherins saying I'm ruining Slytherin by being a Half-Blood" (Y/N) said to her, choosing not to mention how he broke one of Malfoy's goon's wrist before leaving the castle.

"Actually, Lady Gordon, might I trouble you to visit some of the shops close by, so I may bring some things home?" (Y/N) asked the woman, who glanced down at her watch before nodding to him and taking a short detour to Diagon Alley for some last minute Christmas Shopping.

CASTLE DIMITRESCU

It was another cold day in the Village, icy winds blowing snow across the mountains as ice formed in various places, the gruff Villagers worked hard to eke out a living during the harsh, cold winter months, tending to fields and cattle, or hunting for food.

This Village laid in the looming shadow of Castle Dimitrescu, home to the Matriarch of the Noble Family, Alcina and her four children, right now the family were having dinner together, Alcina sitting across from her three Daughters as they quietly ate their meal.

The first few weeks had been hard for the four, especially for Bela, Cassandra and Daniela, they missed their big brother dearly and wished that he would return home soon, their Mother had noticed how upset they seemed and more than once had to reign them in as they had been taking their sadness and frustration out on the staff, and she knew it would be bad to go through too much staff, so under her strict guidance she had managed to get them to behave.

"Daughters, how has your day been?" Alcina asked the three girls in a motherly tone of voice, slowly swishing the wine in her favourite Crimson Wine Glass before bringing it to her Ruby painted lips and sipping upon the beverage in a refined manner.

"It has been alright, Mother" Bela replied with a small frown before she used her fork to pick up a piece of raw, bleeding flesh up from her plate and bring it to her mouth and ate it.

"There have been no intruders in the Castle, and the staff have been on their best behaviour" Cassandra said as her hand rested on her sickle under the table, glancing to the staff with a smirk on her lips, making the Maids shiver in fear.

"I still miss big Brother..." Daniela said as she sat in her seat, pouting as she looked down at her half-eaten meal sadly.

"I know, dear... I miss him as well" Alcina said as her lips fell into a frown and she gazed to the empty place at the table next to her, sipping more of her Wine as the sudden urge for a cigarette came to her, her usual response to being stressed or upset, when suddenly the doors to the Main Hall burst open, and a panicked looking Maid hurried into the dining room.

"L-Lady Dimitrescu! The Fire Place! I-It's erupting with Green flames!" the scared Maid exclaimed as she pointed back the way she had come from.

"Green flames? But wasn't that from when-?" Bela said, when Alcina seemed to realise and dropped her glass, spilling the Scarlet wine and staining the White tablecloth as she quickly stood from her seat and hurriedly walked out of the Dining Room, the three Daughters then also realised what was happening, and swiftly turned into swarms of Flies and sped out of the room, racing past their Mother to the Bed Chambers.

In the Bed Chambers of the Castle, two figures were brushing the soot from their clothing as they stood in the room together, the much taller of the two looking very pleased to be home again.

"Ah... it's good to be home again, I'm guessing they must have moved the Fireplace we come in from?" (Y/N) said to Melinda as he set his Trunk down on the floor, looking around at the Bedroom that he knew his Mother slept in.

"Yes, it was a concern to have it be in the Main Hall, where Muggle guests might also see people Floo in, so they decided to move it to a more private setting" Melinda explained to him, smiling as she also looked around the room.

"Yes, I suppose it wouldn't do to frighten Mother's Maids when they-" (Y/N) replied to Melinda when they heard rapidly approaching buzzing sounds.

"BIG BROTHER!!" three voices cried out at once before three clouds of Flies burst through the doors, reformed into the shapes of three young ladies, and all crashed into the much taller young man, getting a surprised grunt from him as he fell to the ground with the three girls hugging onto him tight.

"Big Brother, your finally home!" Daniela exclaimed as she was hugging him tight, looking very happy that their Big Brother had finally returned home.

"We missed you so much!" Cassandra said as she was also hugging onto him, sniffling slightly as (Y/N) smiled and moved himself into a sitting position, causing his sisters to let go of him.

"Welcome home, Brother!" Bela said with a big smile on her bloody lips, (Y/N) smiled back and hugged all three of his Sisters with his big arms, holding them close as they also hugged him back.

"Hello Sisters... I'm so glad to see you all again" (Y/N) said as he sat up and hugged his little Sisters back, rubbing their backs as she nuzzled into him, (Y/N) then heard hurried footsteps and saw his Mother duck into the bedroom and gasp when she saw him kneeling on the ground hugging his beloved sisters.

"(Y/N)! My Son... your home!" Alcina said as she hurried over and threw her own arms around her Son, joining her Daughters in the embrace of their recently returned family member.

"Yes, Mother, I'm home" (Y/N) said to his Mother as he hugged her back, the cannibalistic family sharing a warm embrace, as Melinda watched them with a smile on her face.
