Synopsis
Via Reyes' origin was tragic by all means, her birth father was never in the picture, a drunken mistake after an argument with her mother's fiancé that she thought was going to be then end of them. Her mum suffered a haemorrhage whilst giving birth and there was nothing anyone could do to save her, helpless and orphaned Via was taken in by her mum's fiancé, Saul Silva.
Saul was the best father that Via could have asked for and he loved her like she was his own. Not long after the two of them became three when Saul's bestfriend died, leaving behind a son, Sky. The only issue was that Saul worked at Alfea boarding school, training the specialists meaning he had to bring both kids with him.
Growing up at Alfea wasn't ideal for everyone, but for Via and Sky it was all they knew. The upside was that when Via started to show her powers, she was in the best environment for it. She was a mind fairy, unfortunately for everyone around her she struggled knowing her boundaries.
The two siblings were raised accordingly, Sky with the specialists and Via with other fairies. Her dad being the headmaster of specialists and brother being a specialist in training did mean that she got to train too, especially when they went home for the holidays and it was just the three of them.
As Via got older she realised how important all the training was for both fairies and specialists, ever looming threats surrounded the otherworld. The supernatural dangers along with the everyday dramas that came with being a teenage girl got to her before she'd officially started at Alfea college, her powers made it difficult not to feel the way everyone around her felt so she preferred her own company.
After spending her whole life in the same house as two boys, a dorm full of girls was a welcome change. She enjoyed the company of her soon to be suitemates enough, most of them clicked right away which was good. Via was closest to Musa out of the four girls, another mind fairy, she thought it might be because they found a sort of peace in eachother. Their empathic abilities didn't seem to work on each other the way they worked on everyone else around them.
Then there was the one girl that managed to get under her skin at every turn, Stella, princess of solaria and one of a kind bitch. Typical mean girl who had this superiority complex because of her birth title, most students admired her or sucked up to her but Via saw right through her. It didn't help that Stella had also chosen Via's brother, out of all the boys at Alfea, to be her boyfriend.
There were two things that Via treasured above all else, the first was music. Wether it be her headphones or her drum set, it turned down the volume of the world around her. But her powers were growing and the more they did, the harder it became for her to tune out everything else.
The second was her best friend Phoenix, he was the yin to her yang and he kept the girls head from spontaneously floating away from her body. You hardly ever saw one without the other from the day they started at Alfea, they were assigned seats next to eachother in the welcome assembly and Phoenix fell asleep on Via's shoulder.
Now about to start her second year at Alfea, Via's path takes a darker turn when two new girls turn up. She must figure out who to trust and who to keep at arms length...
