As we stood at the edge of the cliff, Aiden sat down, letting his legs dangle over the drop-off; I did the same. We sat in comfortable silence as I gazed over the hundreds of treetops, amazed by how tiny they looked from up here.

"I'm tired." He said quietly.

"We can head back if you want." I replied turning to look at him.

"No, not like that. I'm tired of this." He said motioning to his eyes. "I know I'm 'lucky' to be able to see, even if it is only on a full moon, but.. I don't know, sometimes it just seems cruel. Only getting one night to remember what its like, and to see what I'm missing. I'd almost rather not be able to see at all." He sighed.

"I can't imagine what that must be like for you.." I said quietly.

"It hurts." He whispered.

I leaned against him, laying my head on his shoulder. "You don't have to go through this alone anymore you know."

His voice sounded more cheerful as turned to smile at me, kissing my forehead. "I know."

We sat for a few more hours, talking about everything. He told me about his parents, and his little brother. I could hear the pain in his voice as he spoke of them, but the memories lit up his eyes, and put a smile on his face. He asked me about my family, and I told him about my brother, and more about my parents.

"Your friend, the Luna who saved her mate. I heard you talking to her a while back, you sounded worried. Is everything ok?" He asked me.

"She's pregnant, and apparently some weird stuff was happening, so she was freaking out a little. I've talked to her a few times since and the doctor thinks its just because the baby's Gift is going to be strong like her mamma's." I told him. "Come to think of it, whats your Gift?" I asked.

"Warrior. At least, it was. I honestly don't know if I even have a Gift anymore." He said seriously.

"Well have you tried fighting since you lost your sight? You never know." I replied.

He chuckled. "I've barely left my room since it happened. I'd probably just end up embarrassing myself."

"Just ask Aiden if he'll work with you later in the day. You should at least try." I told him.

"Maybe I will."

We talked for a few more minutes, until the dark sky began to fill with light.

"Its almost time." He spoke quietly, taking my hand and helping me to my feet. I started to walk, but he pulled me back to him, and stared over every inch of my face before kissing me.

"Until I see you again." He said softly with a sad smile.

I tried to smile back, but the pain I felt when he spoke wasn't my own, and it broke my heart.

"Everything's going to be ok." I reassured him. "I'll always be right here."

"Thats all I need." He grinned, as we began to make our way back towards the house.

"Wow." He whispered as we entered our room.

"What?" I asked.

"My room is way more girly than I thought." He cringed.

"What? It is not!" I laughed.

"Yes it is! Look at this chair! And these flowers!" He laughing as he pointed to my desk.

"You're so dramatic." I grinned, turning to look at him.

When is eyes met mine, my smile fell as they looked right through me.

He sighed, looking away.

"Come on.. Lets go home." I told him, taking his hand and leading him back through the woods to the pack house.

The moment we stepped through the door, I heard a gasp. Jessi stood in the doorway of the kitchen gripping her mug, looking like she'd seen a ghost.

We ignored her and headed back to our room. By the time we got there, the pack house was slowly filling with noise as the pack woke up and began their day. Being in the woods all night long, we were extremely exhausted and needing sleep.

I let go of his hand as we entered the room, about to make my way to my bed.

"Wait!" He said, grabbing my hand again.

"Stay with me." He said quietly.

I smiled, walking with him back to his side of the room. I snuggled up to him, closing my eyes, and tried to control the stupid smile on my face. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed the top of my head.

"Goodnight." He smiled into my hair.

"Goodnight." I replied happily.
