Hayden's POV:

I smile in one last photo with my group of friends. Zayn laughs as his mom gushes, "You all look adorable."

Harry and Jasmine thank her, and I hug Trisha. "You're too sweet."

Graduation rolls by pretty slowly, and I feel his eyes on me the whole time but pay no attention to them. We all sit silently as Hailey goes up to the stand to give the final speech.

"Hello everybody. As you know, I'm Hailey. I would just like to say I'm very sorry to all I have ever hurt in these years." She sighs. "But nothing matters anyway. We are all going our separate ways, and if you think you and all your friends will stay friends forever, you're mistaken. This is reality. You marry your best friend, and that's all there is. Sure, you will have a few close friends and it's okay to not see them all the time. I hope you all have an amazing rest of your life. You all deserve it."

We all cheer and I can't help but grin widely. "Also, I have one small announcement."

The whole crowd waits in anticipation, "I'm lesbian, bitches. So fuck you Ashley, and fuck you Mr. Hendrickson; you know I didn't deserve that fucking D."

Everyone is aghast as she hops down the stairs, and hurries out the auditorium doors. I can't help it but I let out a small laugh and then so does the rest of the students and parents.

We all file out, and I head up to Jasmine, Harry, and Zayn. "Where are you headed, Jas?"

"Arizona Medical School, and am going to live off campus with Harry while he goes to the cop academy. And you?"

"Chandler Community College, I want to stay close to Evan."

"That's amazing." She grins.

Evan heads over and mentions we have to leave. I hug Jasmine tightly, "Keep in touch, I love you."

"I love you too, Hayden." She kisses my cheek.

I head over to Zayn and Harry and squeeze them both, kissing them on the cheeks. "Harry, stay out of trouble. Also, stay cute."

He grins, "Love you, Hayden."

I turn to Zayn, "Still planning on living with Evan and I for awhile?"

"Duh." He grins.

"I'll see you soon, okay?"

"Okay."

I'm in my freshman year of college and I'm heading to my first class of the day. I walk up to the doors, and my mouth falls open at the sight I see.

Louis is walking towards me with his head ducked into his book. "Louis?"

He looks up, "Hayden!"

I grin, "I didn't know you were going to this college."

"Uh, yeah. It was the only thing I could afford."

"It's great to see you."

"Can I say something?" He asks.

I nod, "Okay."

"I'm better. I decided to go to the therapist like you suggested."

"Louis, that's great!"

"Well, Jasmine and Harry are now engaged. He proposed on the night of graduation." I smile, genuinely.

"Really, wow! I knew they would end up together."

"Who didn't?" I tease.

He looks in my eyes, "Can I say another thing?" I stay silent waiting for what he's about to say. "I would just like to apologize for everything."

"You're forgiven." I knew exactly where he was going with this, and I wasn't going to stop him.

"Thank you! You won't regret it."

"I know I won't." I smile, as the millions of feelings I felt for him flood back.

"Hayden Peters, would you like to go on a date with me?"

"I would love to."

Over the time I had to contemplate everything, I decided not to hate Louis. He was human; and that's okay. It's okay to make mistakes and I can't hold it over him. Even so, I realized something very important. Louis made me stronger then I was, and made me figure out what love was. I'm glad he did it, even if it was in the way he did. Because I learned to stand up for myself and learn to let go. But it also caused me to learn how to forgive.

Louis Tomlinson was a blessing in disguise.
