Hayden's POV:

I head home, my heart broken. Stepping through our door, I see Evan.

"Hey, baby sister." He grins.

"Hi." I whisper.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing. I'm just going to go wash up and head to bed."

He nods. "Um, okay. Let me know if you need anything."

I walk away to the bathroom, and lock the door. More tears fall as I realize that Louis hates me. He has hated me for the longest time. I gave him every ounce of love I could; and he played with it.

Almost like a trance, I open the drawer and pull out a bottle of pills. As I'm about to open it, I hear a knock on the bathroom door. "Hayden, are you okay?"

"I'm fine." I try to say calmly, but it comes out forced.

"Open the door." I don't open the door, but focus more on trying to get the cap off the bottle, but it won't budge.

The door is suddenly broke open, and Evan's eyes widen at my state. "It won't come off!"

He dashes at me, and tries to grab them from me, "Stop!" I sob, loudly.

Suddenly all the pills fly out of the bottle all over the floor, and I look at them sadly, "What did you do?"

Tears fall out of Evan's eyes as he holds me, trying his best to hold me together and stop from breaking.

We sit at the kitchen table and Evan hands me a cup of coffee, "Why would you do that, Denny?"

I let a few tears fall out, "I don't know what triggered it. But it won't happen again."

The next day, I head to school not even trying to hide my sadness. At lunch, Zayn approaches me. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing."

"It's Louis, isn't it?" I stay silent and Zayn curses, "I'll be right back."

Silently, I follow Zayn to find Louis. When Zayn sees Louis, he marches over and throws him against the lockers, making students turn their heads.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?"

"What?" Louis yells, angrily.

"You fucking heard me. What is your problem?" Zayn curses, angrily.

"I don't know what the fuck you're talking about."

"Hayden."

Louis licks his lip, "What about her?"

"You fucking ruined her."

He smiles sadly. "I know, Zayn."

Zayn shoves him one more time into the lockers, and then marches back over to me. Louis and I make small eye contact, but I turn around to walk with Zayn.

We sit on the floor in the hallway, and I tell Zayn everything. I spill it out until it doesn't hurt as much anymore. He looks in my eyes and sighs, "I'm sorry."

Tears fall as I lean up and go to kiss him. He stops me, "Woah, woah."

"What?"

"You don't like me like that. You're hurt. I'm only doing this because you mean a lot to me, I don't want you to make a mistake."

I look down, "You're right."

"Now, wipe those beautiful eyes and let's go get some coffee and pizza."
