Here I am, a month later lmao

Hayden's POV:

Louis would be here in less then ten minutes, and I was freaking out.

"Evan, clean downstairs a bit, please!" I yell, picking my room up.

"Okay! I'm leaving in two minutes, though." As I throw my clothes in a basket, I hear Evan yell, "I love you, Denny!"

"I love you, too!"

The front door shuts, and I rush by my dresser, knocking into it slightly. I groan, when I hear something fall. I turn around to see that it's the photo of my parents.

"Fuck!" I curse, when I realize that it popped out of it's frame.

Scurrying over to pick it up, I see a small piece of paper on the ground by it. I raise an eyebrow, and pick it up to see what it is.

Do it. Then, we can be together.

My breathing hitches, what does this mean? Do what, most importantly? And, why was it hidden in a picture frame?

A knock erupts from downstairs, and I run downstairs after picking it up. I open the door, and grin when I see Louis.

"Hello, Hayden." He smiles.

"Hi, Louis."

We sit on my bed, researching more about the Birthday Paradox, when I sigh.

"Is something wrong?" He asks.

"I need to tell you something."

"Okay, go ahead."

I tell him everything that I have found, and tell him Jasmine's theory.

After I show him the latest note, he furrows his eyebrows, "Maybe, Jasmine's right."

"Why?"

"Because, she has a point. Why do it so secretively if it's not illegal? Also, if the police were to do an investigation, they wouldn't get caught."

"My mom wouldn't kill my dad, though..."

"Are you positive?" He asks.

I stutter, "I-I think so."

"How about instead of this, we do some research on your dad's death, and get to the bottom of this?"
