Suman blinked her eyes rapidly to adjust the light. Her eyes went to the window where the light was coming from. Then her eyes went to the wall clock and her eyes widened

Its 9 o'clock!! How can i sleep so much? I have to be at pct before10! Shit i am definitely going to be late.

Thinking about pct and then about why her alarm did  not ring, she tried to get up in a hurry but was pushed back by the hand on her stomach.

Her eyes turned to him who was now visible to her and that to too close in her vicinity. Their eyes met and everything what happened last night came flashing in her mind, it was like a bucket of cold water poured on her, her expressions switched from confusion to accusatiom in a fraction of a seconds.

When she tried to push his hand away his hold on her tighten and he pulled her toward him. Both laying side ways facing each other. His right hand went to her cheek when a tear escaped from her eye.

Wiping away the tear he pulled her face as his hand went back holding her neck. Her breath hitched as this was the first time they were so close to each her. Her eyes automatically got close when his nose touched hers.

"Sumo please listen to me this one time" his lips were touching her skin when he was talking making her heart skip a beat. She wanted to say no but the closeness was not helping her. This was the  first time she was so close to him maybe thats why her body was feeling a tingling sensation, she hadn't felt before.

"Sumo i am sorry yesterday she was about to slip and i was just holding her so that she won't fall. There is nothing betweem me and her"

He moved a little away to see her face. Opening her eyes she looked at him " you know why because i

Knock! knock!

"Forget about it just look at me" he said to her, who was looking at the closed door now. Getting her attention again he started

"I have nothing to do with her believe me i lov

Loud knocks!

"Dammit! What is wrong with them?" He groaned in irritation

"Suummaannnn" they heard vandy

"Suman come out please i need your help" she shouted from outside crying

Suman hurriedly get up from bed and opened the door

"Come with me please" vandy hold her hand amd they disappeared from there making shravan irritated and he threw a pillow at the door before burying his face in her pillow sniffing it.

He opened his eyes and saw the time  10:20

Shit! I slept again.

Again huh? As if you have slept at night.

His minded reminded him. Getting up and ready, he went downstairs straight to the kitchen.

"Vandy bhabhi where is suman?" He asked finding only vandy in kitchen

"Oh she left for pct. She was already late still she helped me in making this gravy." Shravan noded his head

"Shravan its not even an hour and you are missing her? Aww so cute!" Vandy grinned looking at him

"No i just want to talk to her" his lips went upward

"Then call her na simple!" Vandy smiled

You are right bhabhi. I think i should say i love you on call because otherwise something or someone will interrupt for sure.

He released a sigh and took out his phone moving out of the house and dialed her number. A groan came out from him when he heard the number you are trying to call is busy on another call.

She wants to listen and help everyone except me!

"Shravan"

Shravan turned to look at the person. He tried to gave her a smile

"Listen i am really sorry about last night. Its all because of me. I

"Its okay urvashi." Shravan sighed while she gave him guilty expressions.

"I am going today. Mom dad are coming late night. Thanks for your help" she gave him a smile

"Dont mention it" shravan smiled genuinely

" and if you want i can say sorry to suman" she asked.

"No its okay! Mistake is all mine." He shook his head

Urvashi was looking at his retrieving figure still standing at the porch. She sighed and turned to go but saw pushkar standing behind her. His arms were folded and he was looking really pissed.

"Why are you even here? And what did you do this time?" He asked

"Pushkar its not like what you are thinking" urvashi reasoned

"Just becasue you are behaving okay does not mean you are not here for something. Come straight to the point tell me what do you want?"  Urvashi was looking at his not-so-happy-face for a minute and then replied

"Actually you are right. I just realised i am here for something and now i want that!"

"As expected" pushkar chuckled shaking his head as he was not surprised.

Suman was making bitter gourd in pct when her phone went off. Washing her hands, she went to the table and smiled looking at the caller id.

"Preeta add dry fruits in halwa" she ordered before swiping right

"Good morning nanu!" She tried to sound enthusiastic so that old man don't get to know about her.

"Are you okay suman?" His sudden question was enough to break her resolve but again she tried.

"I am good nanu! What will happen to me? And by the way i should be asking that. It was you who was not okay remember?" She said in a go and authorative manner

"Now i know you are fine" tiwariji said and laughed. Hearing his loud laughter, she smiled and to divert her mind she again started asking questions. She got to know that shravan was calling her in between the call but who cares right not for him?

Not me!

After talking with nanu she switched her phone off and went back to do her chores.

Shravan came back to his cabin after a meeting and dialed her number.

Switched off? What the hell yaar sumo just listen to me once. How will you switch me off when i will be in front of you?

He called his pa inside and told her to clear his schedule and postpone all his today's meetings.

"But sir this ahuja case's meeting is really important and ramnath sir will aslo be attending it."

"Okay but this is the last one" he did not argued or raised his voice. This shocked his pa as she keep looking at his face with a surprised look

"Get out!" He shouted and the next second she disappeared as if she was not there minute ago.

"Suman we have completed all our work of today. Please give us an early off now." Preeta pleaded

Suman take a looka at their faces and then went back to her sheets again. This makes all of them sad and they started going back to their places

"Be here at sharp 9 tomorrow!" Suman said without looking up but the next second she was attacked by them in a group hug making her smile with them.

"Thank you suman" they all said in unison and went to their homes

"Suman you should also go home" preeta said going out

"Yeah going just after compeleting this"

Suman was engrossed in her work when she heard a knock on the pct's door.

"Can i come in?"

"Yeah" suman replied not knowing what to say further

Urvashi came and sat on the chair opposite to her table

"Suman i want to talk to you about last night."

"But i don't"

"Its not what it looked like. I was about to slip

"That does not change the fact that you have a past with him" suman retort

But urvashi chuckled "past you are talking about past. If you are so then listen to my side of story."

"Urvashi please i have no interest"

"No but you have to listen because you are an integral part of our past. In my story you are the heroine i guess."

"So as you said past, yeah we were in a relationship. You know it needs two but in this only i was. I was the one who liked him, i was the one who initiated talk, i was the one who said i love you, i was the one who proposed for marriage because i was in love with him."

Suman closed her eyes "Do you even know how was he tackling himslef when you left him on the wedding day? How much your stunt changed him?" She gritten her teeth

"So did he tell you why i left?I am sure he did not because even he does not know and thats not becasue i did not tell him, its all becasue he does not care. Not then and not even now. All he cared then was how will he find his sumo?" Urvashi glared at her while suman looked at her in surprise

"It hurts when you are talking to your lover about your future plans  but all he reply and ask is when will he find his damn sumo. And when he initiated talkes to me were all about his sumo"

"Urvashi

"No let me finish. He did not change becasue i left him. If you will ask him why i left him, i am sure he does not know becasue he did not care. He never asked what i was feeling or what i want. His world revolved around his sumo. He calls me when ever he got an slight update about where were you and cry on my shoulder when he could not find you. Thats all i was for him, a shoulder to cry on.

"I knew i cant take your place and i never wanted to. All i wanted was a place for me but all my hopes got crushed the day before our wedding. He called me at 9 in the night, he was so excited, for a second i thought he was happy for the wedding, but no he said his detective is about to know where his sumo is and he promised that till tomorrow he will get to know about your whereabouts. I decievingly just asked him one question. What if you got to know about her then what will you do, Will you go to her tomorrow? And you know what he said, he said ofcourse i will book the flight the next minute i got to know about her and that broke my heart. He did not even think about his marriage which was also taking place the next day. And i am sure he changed then because he was so close to find you but did not, not for the wedding." Urvashi looked at suman wiping her tears and saw her crying with her.

"You know i loved him suman. I really loved him but that answer told me where i stand in his life and i can't take a back seat in my own story so i left silently. Maybe i was being selfish but i knew it was better to leave then and not waste a single second on a person who cant love me. He is a great friend but not a lover"

"And right now its even proving that he is not a great husband also." She said looking at suman

"I am sorry urvashi" is all suman whispered

"Its okay suman. Its not your fault, i have nothing against you." Urvashi smiled and hugged suman

"Okay so i am going back to my home" urvashi smiled

"Why?" Suman asked

"You are asking me why? I dont know how many times you must have killed me in your thought in past few days?" She asked but raised a brow when suman denied.

But then both burst out laughing knowing it was not true..

"So how many times?" Urvashi asked still laughing

"I lost the count" suman giggled and got a slap on her arm from urvashi in return.

Then urvashi said bye and went away. Sitting in her car urvashi dialed a number

"I have done my part now its your turn" she said and gunned the engine of her car.

Suman was placing the sheets in a file when she heard a knock again

"Excuse me Mrs. Suman Malhotra?

"Yes"

"Shravan sir told me to give this to you"

"What is it?"

"Dont know mam"

She took the envelop and closed the door. Tearing up the paper she pulled it out. But it slipped from her hands the next second and a tear escaped from her eye when she read them

Hello hello hello! Am i not being a good girl giving updates so frequently??

So how is the twist? I am sure i will get flying chappals :p

So this story is coming to an end in maybe 2 or maximum three chapters so stay tuned ;)
