CHAPTER~01

MUMBAI....✨💜

Mumbai... Worli

A person was sleeping peacefully in his bed, cuddling with someone who nuzzled his face into his neck, mumbling incoherent words that were hard to understand. Suddenly, their sleep was disturbed by a mobile ringtone. Eventually, someone woke up after the phone continued ringing. As he slowly detached himself from the person, he saw his father sleeping peacefully. He noticed the frown on his father's face, gently caressed his hair, kissed his forehead, and said, "Good morning, Papa. Rise and shine." Knowing his father wouldn't wake up easily, especially on his rare day off, he smiled, took the mobile, and went to the balcony.

Other Person: "Good morning, Ishu. Sorry for disturbing you, but it's urgent. We received a request from the Kohlis; they want to schedule an appointment with you."

Ishan: "Is it really that important, Karan Bhaiya? Am I missing something? Please let me know, because I know you wouldn't call me at this hour unless it was crucial, especially on my day off with Papa."

Karan: "Ishu, take a break from designing and check social media. The Kohlis are your papa's besties-like, Virat Kohli's team. They called from there. This could be huge for us. If they post about it, it will boost your work significantly."

Ishan: "Have you checked everything? Are they okay with everything? If so, set up the appointment and call me back. Bye."

Ishan went downstairs and started making his coffee, the first thing he needed in the morning after his papa's good morning wish. Without these two, he couldn't even imagine his day.

He made another cup of coffee for his papa, who would probably be awake by now. Ishan missed their morning cuddles; whenever they were at home, their sleep was always disturbed by their longing for each other's warmth and closeness.

Before heading to the bedroom, Ishan watered the plants in the kitchen. Then, he took the coffee mugs and went to the terrace, where his dad was likely waiting for him and his special coffee. Ishan smiled, remembering how his papa never missed a chance to make him feel special.

There, he saw his papa sitting on the balcony, replying to messages. Ishan gently placed the coffee mugs in front of him, then hugged him and snuggled into his neck, saying, "Good morning, Papa." Rohit returned the hug and said, "Good morning, Ishu Baba," then added, "Let me taste the magical coffee you made for me." Ishan smiled, settled down, and they both sipped their coffee, enjoying the view of the ocean, which brightened their morning with its shores and fresh air.

Ishu: "Papa, why do you do this? It's just one day off. Why did you come here? Not that I mind-I actually love it-but won't your team members question you? Won't they think it's strange?"

Rohit: "Ishu Baba, remember one thing: I've always felt that I didn't give you the enough love, affection, and time you deserved. I was often away from home because of matches. I know you might not agree, but even when I got some rest, I still had to attend the office to handle things. So, I didn't spend enough time with you. Whenever I get a chance like this, I don't want to miss it. I want to spend time with you and make up for all that I couldn't give you."

Ishan's eyes glistened with happy tears. He felt incredibly lucky to have a father like Rohit❤️He shook his head and said,

Ishan: "Papa, you're the best father in the world. How can you say you didn't give me enough time? Whenever you went abroad for matches, you always made sure I was okay here. You were almost always on the phone with me, except during team meetings or when you were on the field. And when you were at the office, I was always with you in the conference room. When i had to travel abroad, you always sent me with Karan or Sufyaan Bhayya, your favorite bodyguard. No matter where you were, you always made sure I was comfortable and happy. Don't you dare say otherwise," he said with a pout.

Rohit kissed Ishu's forehead, held his ears, and said, "Okay, I'm sorry, Baba. I won't do it again. Will you forgive your papa?" he asked with an innocent face.

Ishan immediately removed his papa's hands and hugged him tightly. "Alright, forgiven. But from now on, no late-night pasta, no ice cream on off days, and no cuddles, okay?" he said with a playful tone. Rohit shuddered at the thought of surviving the day without Ishu's cuddles. "No, Ishu, you can't do that. Baba, please, no..."

"Oh yes, I can, Papa, and I will," Ishu said with a strict face that was anything but strict.

Rohit didn't utter a word; he knew that if he said anything, it would backfire on him, so he just nodded and said "okay" with a little pout.

Ishan smiled internally at the sight of his papa's pout but composed himself. He tapped his pinky on his chin, pretending to think, and said, "I'll cancel everything only if you make our favorite breakfast, Papa," his eyes were sparkling with excitement.

Rohit's face beamed with happiness. He immediately nodded yes, lifted Ishan into his arms, twirled him around in joy, and then gently set him back on his feet. "I'll make it in 30 minutes," he promised, and then sprinted towards the kitchen, grabbing the mugs.

To the world, Rohit was a cold-hearted, ruthless businessman and cricketer, someone who didn't spare even a glance for others and instilled fear in people. But in front of his child, his sunshine, his baby who gave him a new reason to live, he was entirely different. He was soft and emotional, willing to move mountains for Ishan's smile, which brightened his entire world.

Ishan still remembered the day when he was only 5 years old. He said he wanted to eat ice cream, and Rohit literally brought every single flavor available in Mumbai and presented them in front of Ishan just because he said he wanted it. Rohit sat in front of Ishan and gave him all the time in the world to choose his ice cream. As Ishan's little hands picked an ice cream and started eating, he made a mess, but Rohit sat there, capturing every single moment. Rohit wanted to remember every first experience of Ishan, so he took pictures and plenty of videos.

As Ishan ate his ice cream, he was a messy kid, smearing ice cream around his lips, chin, and cheeks, and his nose was red from the coldness. Rohit immediately bathed Ishan with warm water. For the first time, Rohit took Ishan to the orphanage, where he distributed the remaining ice cream to the kids and let them play with Ishan. This experience taught Ishan that sharing something with others can bring smiles to their faces and showed him how kind his father was.

Ishan sat there, starting to work on some of his designs, which he needed to present the next day in front of the clients. Even while working, his mind wandered to the conversation from the last meeting, or rather, the party he had attended. At the party, people questioned his relationship with his father, slut-shamed him, and spoke ill of their relationship. Initially, he wanted to laugh it off; they didn't realize he wasn't a "slut" but rather the prince of his dad and Sharma's. Then he overheard a woman talking about a date with Rohit. She asked if Rohit liked the vibe of Ishan or his company. She said she didn't know Ishan or his vibe, and Rohit simply said no to the date. Although Rohit didn't reveal anything to anyone, Ishan was still a part of his life. Anyone who wanted to share their life with Rohit needed to be approved by Ishan or at least accept him.

After 40 minutes, Rohit arrived and saw Ishan deeply immersed in his work. He silently left and came back with breakfast, including Ishan's favorite vada pav and pancakes. He started feeding Ishan by hand. Despite noticing his father's presence, Ishan enjoyed eating with his hands; it always made him feel special. They finished breakfast in silence. Afterward, Ishan completed his work, set aside his laptop, stood up, and said:

**Ishan**: "Baba, I know I'm your child. Even when I turn 60 with wrinkles and gray hair, I'll still be your kid; that won't change. But, Papa, you can't just sneak into the house like this during the middle of a series, nor can you reject people and their dates just because they didn't have a vibe check with me or didn't like me. One day, I need to move out of here, and that's the reality. Your friends are married, having kids, and enjoying their lives. You're already 32 and haven't been on a single date or liked anyone
Although ishan was saying all this, he was mess in tears. His heart aching badly, but he can't let this guilt make his papa stay single all life.Just because of him, this guilt is overwhelming."

**Rohit**: "Ishu, I don't know who spoke nonsense to you. You're not moving out of here anytime soon; this is your house. If you have any thoughts or nonsense in your mind, spill it out. You are the reason I'm living my life. And one more thing: I haven't dated or loved anyone because they wanted to be with Rohit Sharma, the famous cricketer or industrialist. They didn't want Rohit; they wanted the famous Sharma. And about having kids, you are my kid, even if you aren't biologically mine. You were born because you are my child; I don't need a biological connection to claim you as mine.

Now, I'm saying that whatever I earn, it's all ours. Don't misunderstand me; I know you're capable of earning on your own, and you're doing it now. At just 17, you've started working in our companies and have taken them to new heights in just four years. That's entirely your talent adding charm to our companies. I'm super proud of you. As for me getting married, if it's meant to be in my destiny, it will happen. But she needs to accept you and us. That's when I will get married."

**Rohit**: "Forget all that for now. It's my day off, Ishu. Can't we spend it together? I need to go to the team later in the evening. Even though I'm the vice-captain, Cheeku is the captain, and he won't spare me. You have no idea what excuses I gave him or how I literally stopped people who were ready to crash at our place. Phew..."

**Ishu**: "Papa, don't be so dramatic. I know how you exaggerate everything and how disgustingly you make your face when talking about them. But as soon as they call and say they need their bhayya, you're like, 'Ishu, I'm sorry, baby, I need to go. They need me.' You always speak like that, animatedly, ishan spoked just like always his dad do."

Rohit: "Ishu, let's do some water painting! It's been a while since we did it together. Let's go!" He grabbed Ishu's hand and ran toward the art gallery he had set up for him.

Ishu smiled, seeing his dad in such a playful mood. It was rare for Rohit to act this way, but when he did, it was always worth it.

Both ran like kids to gather their colors and canvases. Before they started painting, Rohit silenced his mobile. They began painting, played their favorite music, and laughed as they drew. They exchanged playful glances, stuck out their tongues at each other, and continued painting.

As the evening approached, they finished their drawings, shared them with each other, and giggled like children. Rohit was busy cleaning up the colors when Ishu, with a mischievous sparkle in his eyes, dipped his hands in paint and approached Rohit. "Papa!" he called. When Rohit turned, Ishu smeared paint on his face, cheeks, and shirt. Rohit stood there, stunned, while Ishu giggled at the sight of his dad.

Rohit, snapping out of his daze, retaliated by throwing paint at Ishu. Ishu gasped but was unbothered, as he had started the playful battle. He grabbed bright yellow paint and began chasing Rohit around.

Rohit: "Ishuuuuu, nooo! Not the bright color! I have meetings with Virat, baby, nooo!"

Ishu: "Nope, Papa, I'm definitely going to cover you in this!" He giggled, imagining Rohit covered in bright yellow.

They continued running around, throwing water and paint at each other in the garden, laughing and enjoying the mess they were making. Their bodies were smeared with colors and water, but their hearts were at peace, playing like children.

The gardener and head chef smiled as they watched the scene. They always wished for Rohit and Ishan's happiness. Even though Rohit often appeared cold and aloof, he was a completely different person with his child, embodying the role of a loving father. They hoped for someone to enter their lives who could fill the void in Rohit's heart and provide Ishan with the motherly love he always longed for.

After playing and giggling like kids, they both went inside to freshen up. It was almost time for Rohit to leave for the hotel and attend his meetings. His mobile was flooded with messages and missed calls from Virat and the team, and he knew he had a lot of explaining to do.

After freshening up, they both enjoyed a chocolate milkshake. Ishan prepared some healthy snacks for Rohit and his colleagues, knowing that his dad's brother would insist on sharing. He made Power Protein Paninis and some grilled vegetable sandwiches, especially for Virat, who loved them. He packed everything securely.

It was time for Rohit to leave, but he was excited because the next day was the final match of the series, which Ishan would attend. Rohit smiled, hugged Ishan, and said, "See you tomorrow, Baba."

Ishan replied, "Nope, Baba, I can't make it tomorrow. I have some clients to attend to. I'm sorry, but I'll try to come as early as possible."

Rohit nodded, understanding that work and commitment came first. He kissed Ishan's forehead, reminded him to stay safe, and to call if he needed anything. Ishan simply nodded. After a heartfelt goodbye, Rohit left, and Ishan went to his room to sleep.

That's how Sharma's were that's how they spent their time their whole revolves around each other ❤️

On the other side, Rohit reached the hotel and noticed there were only five minutes left before the meeting started. He immediately went to the team meeting hall, where he saw everyone seated. Most of them glared at him, but he ignored it, setting up his Mac PC to review his notes on the players. The series was tied, with each team having won two matches. The upcoming match was crucial to secure the series.

Virat started the meeting, and the coaches and team members gave their inputs. Rohit also provided his suggestions, and after 40 minutes, the meeting was dismissed. As the coaches left, Rohit quickly took out his mobile and made a call.

Virat was about to speak but waited until Rohit finished his call. Once the call ended, Virat shouted, "Where the hell have you been? How could you ignore our calls? We were all so worried!" He hit Rohit with a pillow.

Rohit replied, "Vi, listen, I had my phone on silent and completely forgot while I was painting."

Everyone's attention was piqued. They immediately questioned him, especially Harry and Jassi. "Did you go on a painting date?" they asked.

Rohit looked at them with a bored expression and said, "Any more nonsense to say? I'll stay quiet if that's all."

Jassi, with innocent eyes and a pout, asked, "But Bhaiya, you mentioned painting?"

Rohit cursed himself; Ishu's and Jassi's innocent eyes always melted him. He sighed and said, "Jassi, come here," and gave him a side hug. "It wasn't a painting date. It was a therapeutic time between me and that person. It helped me forget all my sorrows and pains. We made these," he said, showing the paintings.

Meanwhile, Virat and Nush noticed how Rohit's eyes sparkled when he talked about that person. Virat's heart ached, thinking about his sister. Nush patted his back and said, "Let's go and see the paintings."

They both went to view them and gasped at the artistic details. "Damn, that's so artistic," everyone said.

Paainting by ishu...✨💜

They all admired the paintings with awe. Then Rohit mentioned that their favorite chef from Sharma's had prepared some snacks. Everyone erupted with joy and screamed for food. Thank goodness the room was soundproof; otherwise, the hotel staff might have been traumatized by the chaos.

Rohit's driver delivered the food to the room, and everyone eagerly dove into it.

Virat asked, "Who is this person, Rohit? Why don't you trust me? Why do you always avoid this topic?"

Rohit responded, "I trust you and Nush more than anyone, Vi. Don't doubt that. It's just that my Baba isn't comfortable revealing himself to the world. I've always been eager to introduce you to my happiness, but my happiness has its own insecurities. That's why I don't want to force it. Please understand that one day you will definitely meet that person, I promise."

Both Nush and Vi smiled. They understood that, as Rohit's best friend, Vi still had to unravel this mystery, but they were willing to be patient and supportive...

That's how Rohit Sharma is known to his best friends, while to the world, he appears ruthless and coldhearted.

Let's see how Ishan's and Rohit's lives unfold. That's it for now.

Let me know what you think about Sharma and his life. Healthy criticism is always welcome.

See you guys next time!

Love
Amy ❤️🎀🦋
