— Author's note —

As you already know, I have a schedule —twice a month for both Waves (2.0) & BBLove. According to which I have already updated, this one extra to make up for the last month. But don't make it a habit you guys.😂

I have started to update this book on Scrollstack, which does not have any scheduled updates. I will update as much as I can. If you want to read for free on wattpad, you will have to wait for the updates and complete the given targets and if you can't wait, you can read the next chapters on Stck; the choice is yours.

To all the waves readers, I know you guys are waiting, but the readers who have been following me from the beginning must already know that, I'm one of those writer who needs to feel the emotions of the characters. I can't jump into two different stories with each updates. So since I'm into my Blended era right now, I'm trying to make the best out of it by writing as many chapters as possible and get the story moving forward. Don't worry, I will soon start to write Waves and then you all can have back to back chapters as well. Patience is the key here, you guys.

Also, before asking for an update, I'd request you all to kindly make sure if the targets are done on all the previous chapters and check if two updates for the month have been done or not. I'm not going to update third one just because the targets are done. I'm going to stick with my schedule on this platform!

Last chapter of the month
Hope you all enjoy.

"Did you tell Falak about that thing?" Sahil questions, I look at him from the game. "What thing?" He tucks his lower lip in mouth, his eyes moving behind me and then back to me. A smile playing on his lips. I glance behind to see Ahaana Suhana in the kitchen gossiping with both the mothers and house helps.

"What?" The agitation works through me instantly. Who asked him to speak to me in gesture language? Just tell me and be on your merry way!

He leans closer to my ear, "the marriage thing between Ahaana and I." I push away from him and roll eyes.

"I didn't." I grumble, trying to focus back on the game. Since we —he— found out about this, he's been over the moon. He's so elated as if they already are married. I can't believe our families. How can someone arrange marriages of two kids? And mind you, one of them just took birth.

But who am I to complain. Since I found out about what they originally planned and how that plan was dismissed when Ahaana came, I'm happy to be not tied down to Suhana. I mean I love her, I obviously do. But I don't want to get married to that soul sucking devil. For my sake, I will let my sister marry another soul sucking devil of Sahdev's? Yes. I absolutely will. My sister is no less, they both deserve each other; to do this world a favour.

"Do you want me to?" I look at him. The mere mention of her makes me miss her. Why don't we live in the same area? Building? Apartment?

"Nah. I don't want to jinx it." I snicker shaking head. He should be praying to somehow jinx it. He should already hire a lawyer to help him with this weird situation. Or start the black magic process. Why hasn't he already, is so beyond me. I mean who wants to be married to Ahaana and Suhana? Have you seen them? Spoke to them? Spend time with them? Actually known their true sides?

And still want to marry to them? Seek help, Sir.

"When are you proposing?" His next question makes me look around us to make sure none heard him. I glare at him, eyeing towards the kitchen. "You know everything. You are the one who planned the entire thing. Are you trying to get us in trouble? If Ahaana and Suhana finds out, we are gone." I lean closer, lashing out. His lips tips up in a smirk and I look at him with squinted eyes. He's so cruel some--most of the time for no reason at all. Especially to her.

"Stop snarling like an animal, you want me to get those flowers or no?" I feel my nostrils flaring in anger. Why do I call him best friend and not the reason of my blood pressure? The reason I'll be sent to jail for murdering this bastard?

"Just let her say yes to me and then I will deal with you." I huff out an irritated breath, throwing the game controller at him and make a move to leave. His laughter booms behind me before he tugs on the fabric of my t-shirt. I shrug hard trying to get him off, but he obviously doesn't get the memo and follows behind me to my bedroom from the Sahdev house.

He shuts the door behind us and I throw a punch at him, hitting his shoulder blade. He winces, laughing loudly and rubbing the spot while I continue staring him down. "Natak mat kia kar tu." I warn him and walk to the bed, falling on my back. He jumps beside me, laying sideways.

"You think she will say yes." I ask him the same question I have been asking him since I realised I like her and want to confess. "Think? I am damn sure." He grins, his eyes moving to the group picture of all six of us on the wall.

"How are you so sure?" I turn my gaze back to him from the picture.  He sits up immediately.

"Have you seen the way she looks at you?" He bellows and I quickly sit up and look at the door, gesturing at him to stop yelling.

He bites tongue before starting to whisper so low, I have to lean closer, "She looks at you the way Dadu looks at BadiMaa's picture. Her eyes follow you like how sunflowers faces the sun. She looks at us and then when her eyes turn to you, they legit soften. I have seen her orbs enlarging when you come in her view or both your eyes meet. The same feelings that burns in your eyes for her, that same happens to her as well. Remember that day when she had that speech in the auditorium?" I nod in positive, my heart fluttering and face heating up with how he described us both just glancing at each other.

I can't believe how he noticed so much about us when I didn't do it myself. Maybe I never tried to, I just looked at her and lost myself in her.

"Do you recall how she was freaking out before it and how hard it was for Suhana and Ahaana to calm her down because she wouldn't stop with her overthinking. she was so overwhelmed." I nod to all of his words. I obviously remember. It was the very first time I saw the relationship between Suhana and her.

In one day, whole situation had changed. Suhana started behaving with her how she did around Ahaana and us. She hugged Falak, tried to make her laugh, teased her about spitting in her water bottle and all three of them wouldn't stop laughing. Falak Khanna had paved her way into Suhana's heart. Suhana Sahdev!

I was probably the happiest person on the earth that day. It took time but it was worth it. To see the three of my favourite girls being each other's best friend, it was absolute treat to witness.

"And then she went up the podium and her eyes looked around the entire crowd before they finally settled on me." I narrow my eyes at him, he laughs throwing his head back. His fingers ruffles my hairs as he stands up from the bed. "You, asshole. Only you. She had her eyes on you the whole time and she sailed through the entire speech without so much as a frown on her head."

"When you're done daydreaming about her, come downstairs, Yug's about to come and the match starts in twenty minutes. We have to explain him the plan." He strolls out of the room, leaving the smile on my face. What I would do without this idiot? I have no idea.

After the game, we five are sitting on the basketball court itself. Five, yes, because someone's grandfather is a huge pain in our butts. We already spoke about the final plan with Yug before the girls joined us. Currently, we were just watching Yug make a fool of himself.

"Give me a reason, why not?" Yug legit cribs like a baby, throwing his head back and shaking it, his hands flailing.

"You're seconds away from getting punched." Sahil whacks his head first and finishes speaking later.

"Do you have any shame? She's a kid." I shake head in disbelief at him.

Yug squints eyes and leans to my ear, whispering, "Falak was in seventh grade just two years back but did that stop you from winking at her, trying to flirt with her? No na? Then stay out of it." I share a look with Sahil.

"Kid? She's not a kid. I am not a kid. You know how many people in our class are boyfriend and girlfriends?" My sister chimes in and then starts counting on her fingers. "Eight." She yells, her nose flaring in displeasure.

"Yug propose to her with a chocolate. Suhana say yes." Ahaana throws her half eaten chocolate towards Yug. "Say yes, then you will get chocolates and flower like Anjana." Ahaana murmurs to her bestfriend but it's loud enough for all of us.

"Jyada nahi ho raha tera?" Sahil tries to scare her.

"Aap toh chup hi betho." Ahaana brushes him off and continues playing cupid between Yug and Suhana. I watch the drama unfolding with a smile. Only if Yug knows what Suhana said to me during that fight with Falak when we were at the hideout. Yug has a thing very similar to the one that I have with Falak going on with Suhana.

"Okay, charm me." Suhana gives him a sinister smile, I shake head at her drama. She's such a shit. It was just last night when we were on the terrace after everyone went to sleep and she was stupidly smiling when I was talking about him to gauge her reaction. And now she's making it seem like it is such a task and waste of her precious time to even converse with him.

"With what? His stupid pick up lines?" Sahil enquires, looking at his sister with what I know is a look to make her behave.

"Yeah, why not. Let's try if those stupid pick up lines work on me." She leans back, resting her weight on her hands. Yug takes a bite of the chocolate Ahaa threw at him and passes it to Suhana, she takes a small bite before handing it to me.

"Okay." Yug clicks his tongue, rubbing hands, thinking of one of his pick up lines that he steals from the internet. "Four plus four means eight, but you plus me equals fate." He wiggles eyebrows, grinning.

"Psst. Pass." Suhana rolls eyes, throwing him an uninterested look. The little smile trying to break free from her face doesn't hide from my eyes. Sahil and I share a look before he looks away. We can pretend being angry at Yug for trying on Suh, but we definitely see the smile he brings out of our fighter girl with his mere presence.

"Pass? Why? It was so good." Ahaana pouts at Suhana, then pats Yug sympathising with him and asks him to try again. Yug clears throat, his eyes solely focused on one person.

"There must be something wrong with my eyes because I can't get them off you." Yug thinks he threw a mind-boggler with how his smirk widens. His gaze turning flirty that I have to look away so I don't end up beating him to pulp.

"Get them checked." Suhana retorts which wipes off Yug's smile.

"The stars came out, just to catch a glimpse of your smile." Yug's tone goes from teasing and flirty to extremely soft and intimate. Suhana looks away but the smile finally takes over her face, making the happiness shine on Yug's face.

I don't know what love is, I don't think we have been into that depth yet or we ever will. But I have seen love. And right here, in this moment, I was watching love. Budding love. I could see it in the eyes of Suhana. She was falling and there he stood, ready to catch him in his arms and my heart warmed at the thought, I can never trust anyone else to make Suhana happy more than him. He will give her the stars without her even asking and that's what I want for my partner in crime-- happiness and only happiness.

Suhana's silence gives him some strength to move ahead, "I fell for you like raindrops." Suhana keeps her eyes averted.

Yug continues baring his heart open in mere words, "Tujhe takte takte takte umar guzaru..." He hums.

"Okay that's enough!" Sahil stands up and tugs his sister with him. Suhana laughs following her brother without turning back. "Sahil yaaarrrrr!" Ahaana whines loudly behind them. He doesn't stop and enters our building block; fading out of our sight. Yug and I stand up, I fist-bump with him. "If you are faking this na, I will kill you." I mutter only for him.

"Faking? I'm going to marry that girl, Advik. I can give you this in writing right away. However long it takes." His eyes move to where Sahil & Suhana disappeared off to. He then turns back to me, "exactly how you will marry her one day and Sahil will marry this chaotic diva sister of yours." He motions towards Ahaana with eyebrows and I'm left shaking head at his over confidence.

Sahil and Ahaana, yes, but how he knows this I have no clue. Our parents warned us strictly to not tell about the arrangement to anyone, including Falak and Yug. For the first time, Sahil is religiously following that warning. And Falak and I, marry? I mean I love the thought, but I don't know what's written in our lives and I am someone who believes in fates and destinies a lot; so we'll see. We are going to be starting our tenth grade in two months, we have a long time to go for marriage and stuff. But envisioning her a part of our forever, it sure makes my heart warm and overflow with joy.

"Bye Ahaana." Yug throws a hand around her shoulder, side hugging her. Ahaana kisses his cheeks and waves when he walks to his waiting car. The idiot calls her Ahaana in Sahil's absence otherwise it's 'little Shea', just to boil a certain someone's blood. When Yug's car leaves, I turn to my sister. "Piggy back ride?" Thirteen year old but she still behaves as if she's three. I love it.

I kneel down and she hops on my back, wrapping her legs around my torso. Her chin on my shoulder as she starts talking about what happened in the dance class while I walk us to the elevator.

I see Falak and Sahil entering the empty classroom from the distance. I start anxiously pacing in the corner while Yug makes sure we are in the clear before we follow them. I take in some deep breath to calm my restless heart, hands feeling sweaty. "Lets' go." Yug's voice stops me from fidgeting. I look over his shoulder and when we find the entire arcade clear, we step out of the corner. It's the world cancer day today and our school organises awareness program in which all the classes take part. The entire school is currently in the Auditorium while the four of us bunk. If we get caught, there's no helping us.

Waheguru, raksha kari!

We both glue ourselves to the wall, away from the corridor railing so none can see us from the lower floor and with silent steps reach our classroom. Yug lightly knocks three times on the door before pushing it open. We both enter and shut the door behind us. We head back to our benches, Falak and Sahil are already sitting on the last one. Yug and I take the bench ahead of them which originally is Yug and Falak's desk.

"Why are we bunking?" Falak dances her fingers on the desk, her eyes glancing at all three of us.

"Ainvey hi." Sahil shrugs. I keep my eyes on her, she raises an eyebrow--she just learned to do this from Suhana.

"Yug, come on." Sahil raises up from the bench, I move out of the way and Yug steps out. "Where are you going now?" Falak questions as I take the seat beside her, my heart thudding wildly. Yug and Sahil ignores her, heading out of the class leaving the two of us alone. I wipe my hands on thighs.

"What's going on?" She whispers softly, I reach behind her to take Sahil's backpack and bring out the flower and chocolates. I don't have the courage to look into her eyes, so I keep my gaze down.

"Advik.." She breathes my name like a prayer, goosebumps erupt on my body as I feel the name wash over me. The softness of her voice curls my feet in the shoes.

"You never told me what your favourite flower is, so I got the one I thought looked like you." I start speaking, slowly raising my eyes to meet hers. She's already looking at me. I forward the tulip to her. "It blooms in spring season, the season in which I saw you for the first time." I speak referring back to the time when she joined school in April in sixth grade.

She covers my hand that's holding the flower with her hand. "It symbolizes perfect, deep and unconditional love... something that I have started to feel for you." I feel breathless just speaking the words out for her to hear.

"Advik." She breathes, her hold tightening on my hand. I continue, "Tulips are incredibly beautiful, bright and joyous to look at, just like you. The sepals and silky petals contains gentleness, just like... you do. They re so very unpretentious and simple... just like you. So easy to love... just like you. So vibrant and enthrallingly beautiful... just like you, Bugu." I keep leaning closer with each of my word, our forehead touch and she closes her eyes, melting in my warmth.

"I am falling for you, Bugu." I whisper, my breath moving the hair strands on her face. "Please hold me." I complete, pleading to her. And she does, she holds my hand that has the tulip enclosed in fist with both her hands and my heart races wilder than it already has been.

"I like you more, Advik. So so so much. You create joy in me like nobody ever did." Her words settle my heart with coolness and pure happiness erupts from within me. I let her take the tulip from me before we hug each other. She snuggles in my arms and I kiss her crown. "Are we dating now?" She questions hiding her face in my chest, I let her take a moment to herself.

"Yes, you're my girlfriend now." I kiss the tip of her ear and she giggles lowly, nestling more into me.

"I like the sound of it, boyfriend." She hums and I sigh loudly, agreeing with her. I like the sound of it too, Bugu.
