50. HOME.
"Girls should be in their limits, not flaunt so much skin. It's not good. Samyak you have given them unnecessary freedom." Suhana mimicks in extreme annoyance. I snort making her look at me with a glare that says, 'you wanna fight me bitch'? I keep my lips sealed.
"He should be six feet under with the age he's in now, but does he see us complaining? Nahi na?" My sister continues, furious at the whole situation. Advik gives her a pointed look, motioning to the washroom door where Falak is with my wife.
"The only reason why I haven't said a word to him yet." Zia murmurs when the water inside turns off. "Her cousin's coming." Yug comes running in the room, we all instantly rush to the door, I wait for my wife with Advik. "Shea! Satan's errand girls' coming." Advik chuckles at my words. Falak peeks from the washroom door dressed only in bathrobe. "Advik. Leave" She snaps at her almost husband. Advik gives her a pathetic pout but leaves, Shea comes to me. "See you soon, Falku. You're going to make one heck of a beautiful bride." Shea gives a flying kiss to her almost Bhabhi.
"I wanna get ready with you guys." Falak pouts, helplessly. "We'll arrange something to be here for your final touch ups." Shea says, I turn around to check if the devil child's here yet.. no. I tug on my wife's arm and pull her out of the bedroom door to the stairs. We run upstairs to our floor where our friends already waits for us.
"Did she catch you?" Advik asks, I shake head in negative. "The second this wedding is done, I'm going to.... throw her into the fucking pool." Yug searches for the right words, I hi-five the fucker. I'll help him in this good deed.
Falak's cousin--the daughter of evil uncle-- is a pain in our arses. Even though Falak's uncle played her grandfather, he still loves that family more than Falak's family. The cousin--Aarya found out that Advik, Yug, Hood and I are not to be around Falak so she took it upon her to be her grandfather's little snitcher. We have successfully managed to stay safe in all the functions, but the threat's still there till Advik doesn't put the damn sindoor and nuptial chain on Falak.
It was extremely hard to enjoy and be careful of the old man but we somehow managed. Falak's parents helped us in more than one ways to make sure their daughter has her best friends around her to keep her happy. Shit hit the fan when her grandfather said even Zia-Shea can't see Falak before the wedding ceremony. The girls agreed and were staying away from Falak. We received Divya Aunty's call who said Falak's crying and asking for them, of course there was no holding back Advik and Shea-Zia after that. Yug stayed around the elevator to look after the Satan's errand girl.
"Why did they even invite that family?" Shea throws herself on the bed. "She didn't. Her grandfather said if her father won't invite her uncle, he won't attend the wedding." Advik exhales a loud sigh. My wife rolls and gets up from the bed. "Where are you going?" I hold her elbow before she can walk to the door.
"To tell Arjun Uncle where he fluffed up." I shake head at her reply and shove her back on the bed. "Shut up. We just need to tame it down for six more hours. Once Falak signs that marriage certificate, you all can do whatever the fucking fuck you want." I eye all four of them. Zia gives me a pout. A fucking pout. I'll never get used to this expression of hers.
"Go start getting ready. I'll arrange something to bring Aarya out of Falak's room so you can sneak in." I tell the girls, opening the door for the three. "The second he realises he needs sometime alone with his wife, he shows us the door." Yug comments dragging himself out of the door. I wait for Advik and Zia to join him outside before slamming the door shut--with loud bang--behind Zia. She curses me from the arcade.

My wife's trying to simultaneously set the dupatta and make the bangle set when I walk out of the shower. I keep my chin on her shoulder, interlocking fingers on her stomach. "You don't have a single minute for your poor husband." She meets my eyes in the mirror.
"You don't have time for me. I waited an hour for you last night." She complains turning around in my arms, I tease her collarbone with my nose. "Your brother wanted to go fight his grandfather-in-law for trying to separate him from his birdie."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. All you see is Advik." I shake head at the brat. She comes up with such insane things, I can't keep up with her.
"Wanna get late?" I suggest only to be shoved back. "Don't you fluffing dare. I waited for you last night, you chose to be with your best friend, it's not my fault. Don't you dare breathe into my direction till tomorrow night. I still have the marks from our first night here." She slides down the blouse from her shoulder and shows me the hickey I left on inner corner of armpit. I rub my cold finger on the mark making her breathe out a low hiss.
"I heard over time the honeymoon phase fades away, but in our relationship, it's as if we just got married. You're so rough with me these days." My wife grumbles gathering the lehnga from her left leg to show me the bite marks from the back of her knee to inner thigh.
"You wanted rough." I shrug running my hand up and down her bare thigh. "Falak jaan le legi aapki, if you make me late." She breathes out, gasping as I nuzzle my face in her neck. My hand moving closer to her clothed core. "Just ten minutes, I swear I will help you get ready." I beg my wife. She tsks removing my hand and dropping the lehenga to the floor.
"You will help me get ready without those ten minutes." Mrs. Sahil says. "Make a pretty set." She orders handing me the bangles. I huff out a tired pathetic sigh and get on the work. Shea quickly pins the dupatta and starts her makeup. I make her wear the bangles before getting dressed myself.
Once I'm done, I help her put on the jewellery and curl her hairs. She gestures at the sindoor, I take a pinch of it and fill her partition. "I can't take my eyes off of you these days. Fucking magnificent!" I jerk her to my chest, our eyes locked in the mirror.
"You could never take your eyes off of me. You were creepy since I was born." She teases with a grin. I narrow eyes at the itsy bitsy brat.
"We have been married for almost seven months now, stop looking at me like this." She looks away from my penetrative eyes, her face flushed.
"Like what?"
"Like you want to hide me away from the world." Her words strucks a déjà vu feeling. When I recollect where the words are from, my lips stretch into a smile.
"I want to hide you away from the world. You're mine to hide, mine to hold and... just mine." I repeat her words from that day on our Leh trip. She turns around hiding her face in my chest, her face red and breath heavy.
"You are the creepy one, biwiji. Aapne phasaya hai mujhe." I tease her more, loving the warmth of her blush... that seeps into my skin making my heart run wild.
"Aap phase huye hi the bachpan se." She rolls eyes, I chuckle rubbing our noses together.
"I love you, Mrs. Sahil." I whisper softly in her lips, she hums hugging me tighter.
"Before we sorted out at the Leh trip, I thought everything's ruined. You will never be mine. But look at us... today... in eachothers arms. Happiest we have ever been." My wife murmurs in my chest. I rub her back.
"How could it be ruined? We were blended by fate, blended by our grandfather. You think they'd let us separate? They looked after the both of us for five years, made sure we were always eachothers even when we were angry, and then brought us back into eachother's lives when they knew we were ready." I cup her face in my hands.
"If only you could see yourself from my eyes, my heart, you will realise just how much I love you Sahil." A tear slides down her eyes.
"I don't have to, Shea. I look at the smile on your face and I know what I mean to you." I smooch her lips.
"You mean the world to me." My wife says sniffling. I crush her in my arms. "Kya hua? Why are you so emotional aaj?"
"I miss you our wedding days." Shea replies with a pout.
"You wanna see our wedding video?" She nods in positive to my question. "After the wedding ceremony, we'll watch our video in the bed. Cuddled up. Just the two of us, okay?" She sniffes agreeing to me.
"I love you Shea, so much. I don't think words will ever suffice for the love I have for you in my heart." I whisper my heart out to her. More tears run down her eyes.
"I know. I love you more, Shai. I love you. I love you so much." She starts crying loudly in my chest, I kiss her head, hugging her close to my chest.

I read 'Miles and Calendars has no effect on love' somewhere during those five years and always questioned if its true or not. If she still loves me or she moved on. In my anger and sadness, I forgot that hearts that beat together, belongs together can never be broken or forgotten. Souls that belong together find themselves in every birth. Just like my soul recognised Shea's the day she was born.
I never fell out of love with her. I just stopped waiting. I didn't know when she was coming, or if she was coming or not. I loved her even when it killed a part of me each day. Then she returned and her mere presence started to bring the pieces of my fallen apart heart back together. Then she sat down and sewed those pieces together. Put me back together. Healed me with her love.
It's taken us months to be where we are now. We are still healing and helping eachother heal. Our love has just intensified in these months. We have come closer than ever before. We are still best friends before lovers and that's the best part of our relationship. Each day I wake up in her arms and look into her eyes, my soul instantly speaks to hers. She captured my heart when I was a kid, and she continues capturing my heart every second of the day when I'm twenty eight and she'll continue doing the same when I'm eighty.
My wife is my safe, my heaven, my home. She taught me how to live again, laugh again and love again. I was meant to be hers even before we were born and our grandparents were our fate, blending us together.
We were blended and blessed by fate.
Waheguruji... mehr raakhi!

—Author's note—
Bbf ends here. There won't be any epilogue. This is the last chapter. There won't be any bonus chapters either.
Thankyou for reading this book. Sahil and Ahaana were my first ever characters and I have loved them, cherished their story for more than six years. Today after six years, their story finally ends. I have tried my absolute best to do right by them. This couple will always be my favourite couple to write about. I love them to my heart. My chaotic duo. My heartbeats. Hope you guys loved reading about them as much as I loved writing them.
Goodbye.
—A.
