The girl clothed in her red leather jacket awoke with a start, lying face-first in sand—or at least that's what it felt like. From what she last recalled she wasn't occupied in an area where there had been sand, only a rusty old building where—
Everything soon came crashing down on the girl's memories. Her and the Avengers team had been retrieving a device capable of transporting anything to anywhere—literally anywhere. So, when the events of only moments ago, maybe even hours ago—Wanda didn't exactly know for sure—, registered in her mind, she couldn't help but start to panic a little.
She had no clue where she was currently stationed and she had no way of contacting her team; the girl was in utter distress.
Trying to clam herself down, she knew she had to try and find a clue of where exactly she was and how to get back to her team, so she started examining the area around her, trying to figure out if it even looked somewhat similar to her. Unfortunately, it hadn't. She was surrounded by hills among hills of just sand, the visible sun in the sky getting ready to set, reflecting off of the sand, but the girl knew she would have to start somewhere.
Finding some motivation in herself, the girl got up off of her butt and started her venture of trying to find some sort of civilization in the Godforsaken sand land, as she decided she was going to call it now.

It had been a good forty-five minutes, the sun had basically set, leaving little light for Wanda to find her way around. The girl's legs had grown tired, as well as her mind, the idea of just stopping and laying down longing in her thoughts. But she knew she couldn't, she had to find something, anything, to help her get back to her team.
As she continued her endless walk, as it seemed, she thought she had caught a glimpse of a small village, also hearing signs of communication. The girl sped up her walking pace, hoping that her mind wasn't playing tricks on her. Lucky for her, it wasn't; there was in fact a small village homing people—or she at least thought people.
As she pursued closer and closer to the village, she noticed foreign creatures, walking around as if it was just another evening. This was when Wanda had really started questioning her sanity. The creatures had odd shaped faces with abnormal, alien-like physical traits. But as she viewed the village inhabitants more closely, she became aware of the creatures that actually looked like regular humans. But this wasn't the only thing she took notice of—to the right of here was a type of ship that she had never seen before, but it was a type of transportation, and she was going to take advantage of that.
As she bee-lined towards the ship, she heard a noise coming from above. It was the type of noise that the quinjet made when taking off, so she guessed it had to be a pretty good-sized ship. Her focus was ripped from the sky when she heard the village people start to panic, some screaming and whimpering.
She had experienced countless scenes like this, and that's when she knew that the ship above meant bad news. Out of instinct she had her powers ready, if completely necessary. When the ship from above had finally made its appearance, landing on the sandy vicinity, Wanda resorted to the option of the ship she was observing before-hand, the smaller one of course. But as she was making her way towards the small ship once again, she saw a man in a brown jacket and a robot-looking figure trailing behind him, making their way to the ship as well.
Sure, there was a great possibility that the ship belonged to the man, but Wanda had made it her top priority to get back to her fellow superheroes; so, she started a jog towards the ship, all the while the man and his robot getting shot at by the men in white armor who had exited the bigger ship. Her efforts to get to the ship unfortunately became noticed by the small robot, causing him to start making robotic noises, alerting the man. Abruptly, the man whipped his head in the direction of Wanda, making her stop in her tracks.
The two made eye contact, Wanda sending him a challenging glare while he just chuckled, knowing that no one would come in contact with his precious X-wing. That was the first time they had made eye contact with each other and it wasn't going to be the last.
