I literally spent the next day setting traps around my house that only their kind and werewolves could get hurt from. I then spent some time on the Internet looking into the differences between vampires and werewolves. It was all on the dark web and the information that I found made me feel bad for setting them up in the first place. I wanted to protect myself from both sides, but after reading some of the stuff on vampires and after I reminded myself of what happened last night, I knew that those four just have their walls up, but they wanted to protect me. They did save me...

I sighed at that final thought and I proceeded to remove all of the traps that I had up. It took me a couple of hours, but after I was done, I sat on my bed and just called out.

"Harry."

And just like that, there was a knock coming from my front door and I jumped a little. I got up and walked out of my bedroom. I headed down the stairs and i got to the front door before any of my other family members could. I opened the door and saw Harry standing there with his lovers right behind him. "You called?" He asked and I nodded my head. I stepped to the side. Harry looked around the entryway and I felt like he knew. "I thought of putting them up and keeping them up there, but then I thought about yesterday and I started to feel guilty. You guys did save me yesterday," I said and he hummed and stepped inside.

"You learned one thing about silver," Louis said as we were entering my room. I nodded my head and sat on my bed. "Why didn't you enter my window anyways?" "Because that's not a habit that we want to make? Besides, you didn't get rid of all of the traps," Niall said and walked over to the window seal. I walked over and instantly saw what he was talking about. "Oh shit. My bad," I said, but he just shrugged.

"Now is there a reason for you to call us over when you have learned a lot from the Internet?" Liam asked and I nodded my head. "Well I wanted to hear about the differences between you guys and the other things that I saw last night." They hummed and sat all around me. Niall sat to my right, Harry sat to my left, and both Louis and Liam were sitting next to each other in front of me. "Well there are different kinds. You know how you sometimes have to look on the positives more than the negatives?" Liam asked and I nodded my head.

"Well that is a lot like us. There are rogue vampires out there and there are werewolves who you can truly trust, but there are a small amount of them. We are more of the type to protect humans." "Why?" They shrugged their shoulders and I saw Harry lay back. "We just don't have a legit reason to do the other option." "You don't like us?" "Yes, but you don't just kill because you don't like them. You just learn to ignore them," Louis answered and he wasn't wrong with that, so I shrugged myself. "But why save me?" I then asked and it grew silent. I looked around and saw that they were just staring at nothing in particular. "Is it the same reason as to why Nick was attracted to me?" "Pretty much," Niall answered and I just wanted to see as to why, so I took my laptop from my nightstand and started a deep search.

Why vampires protect humans?
Well there are a couple of reasons as to why they have that heroic goal of protecting those with a beating heart.

Reason 1: They were once human and they dislike the feeling of harming those who was once them. They understand positive morals and they are well taught of how to be humane.

Reason 2: If they are protecting only one human in particular, then that human is there soulmate. It's a rare occurrence for a vampire to have a human being as their soulmate, but it does happen! There are also chances for that same human to be the soulmate of the vampires biggest enemy: a werewolf. If this is the case, then the vampire will do as much as they can in order to protect their mate from a possible rogue werewolf.

Now a vampire protecting you doesn't mean that they have to be nice to you. You have the weapons and the skill to kill them, so they have to keep their guards up at all times. They may come off as rude or distant, but if you call their name, then they will come running. Now we are going to talk about the differences between the two species, because there are 4 total groups! These groups are basically the good and the bad of each kind.

Ancient Vampires: These vampires have lived past their first 100,000 years. They have well adapted to humans, but still don't want to be around them. They are more like the protective ones of their kind. Now these ancient vampires could have killed humans before, but fear not! Not all of them are like this! Sometimes it is because of the pack that they grew up in. If they have never killed, then their pack rely more on the ancient way of things. If they have: then their pack rely more on the rogue of their kind. If you are the mate of these types, you are extremely lucky! It is really rare for a human to be a soulmate with an ancient vampire (like 5%!)

Now for the negative side of things... Rogue vampires. Now these vampires actually thrive for blood through the source: You. Meanwhile, ancient vampires would use blood bags or even animal blood to get their intake of their necessities. Rogue vampires could care less about your well being. You could call them and 5 minutes later, they might show up. Or they would probably wait until you come to them. Ancient Vampires as you can probably guess are not like this at all. You call and they are there within a second. They never have you wait, and they definitely don't have you come running to them. It's always going to be the other way around sweetheart.

Now these vampires don't listen for consent either. They do what they want, whenever they want. They are the true assholes of the vampire world. If you dare reject them, then it's bye-bye for you. Sorry, but they really don't give a shit about you. Ancient Vampires on the other hand are consent kings and queens. If they ask for blood and you say no, then they would hold off until they have their source of blood with them. They care, but don't care at the same time. They will remind you that even though they are your mate, their well-being is still their top priority. Reasonable, right? Now if you are mates with a rogue vampire, then I'm so sorry. The chances of this happening is more likely than an ancient vampire mate. (75%!)

Now onto the Beasty side of things! Now it is pretty normal for a human to be mated with a werewolf. 55% of humans are mates with werewolves as of right now! Here are the two types of werewolves

Ancient werewolves. These are like puppies to your eyes. They are always there and I mean ALWAYS there. They stick by your side until you tell them to stop. They are there up on senses. If they feel that you are in danger, then they don't need you to call. They will likely be there already. Now to make you ancient vampire mates a little more pleased: even though your mate will come up on call, they don't need to hear you call their name either. Because hello! Supernatural hearing! They can focus on your voice alone if they wish and they will get that instinct to come to you if they can sense that something is off.

Anyways! Ancient werewolves are rare and the chances for you to be mated with them are like 20%. If you are mated with these werewolves, then pat yourself on the back. If you aren't... Then you are likely mated with the rogue werewolves. The ones that the ancient vampires really hate. They are messy and greedy. They will act like they care for you, but when you are at your weakest, then they will take advantage. They suck when it comes to protecting their mates. It seriously looks like an abusive relationship to others honestly. They'd likely tell you to stay away from the vampires because they know that they are ancient and that they can steal you away from them. Which they should!

Ancient vampires will get closer to you if they know a rogue werewolf is also your mate. They'll probably either move into the same neighborhood as you or go to the same school as you. They still give you space though. Because it's all up to you on who you want to be with. Forewarning! If you do decide to reject an ancient vampire, then they will back off. Maybe not entirely because they still care for you. It will be a slow process for them, but they will leave you alone, but if you take their side, then the rogue werewolf will probably see red and attack.

Again! Fear not! Ancient Vampires are hard to fight and it's rare for them to lose. They will keep you safe and they will get rid of all danger that lies in front of you.

After reading about all of this, I was just a little confused about everything that I just read, so I read it a couple more times before I put my laptop to the side and took a slow breath. "Okay... so I am in the middle of some love triangle thing? Brendon wants me, and you four want me... You four are ancient vampires and Brendon is a rogue werewolf. Who I wish to be with is up to me and you four won't harm me, but Brendon will? There are rogue vampires though. Are you guys against those as well?" I asked and looked over to Harry.

"Yes. They are immatures in our eyes and even though our job is to correct them, it gets really annoying really fast," he says and I slowly nodded my head. "Don't look like that. You don't see us pressuring you, do you? You don't have to make a choice right now. We are hundreds of thousands of years old. We can wait. Right now, we are just giving you the answers that you are looking for," Liam says and I nodded my head again. "Just don't go outside again so late at night. Now that we are around, there are going to be a lot more scenes like last night happening," Niall tells me and I tilted my head at him.

"Brendon is not the only rogue werewolf around here. His possy aren't the only ones either. Then there are the rogue vampires who wants to believe that they are invincible," Louis then tells and I paled. "So I have to watch out for them too?" I asked and each of them nodded their heads. "And like what the website said, we will likely already be there if you are in some deep shit, so there is no need to call a name," Harry says and sits up.

"That's probably the only thing that I see coming from all of this," I said and sighed. The four of them just shrugged their shoulders and got up. "Just know that if there are any attempts to try and 'get rid of us' then there will be a lot of danger coming your way. That is a promise. Not a silly threat," Liam said and I paled again. The four of them then walked out of my room and I hurried to watch them walk out of my house. When the door closed behind Louis, I walked back into my room and I crashed onto my bed.

What the actual fuck?!?

"There is just no way that this is happening... and why me?!? Why does this have to happen to someone like me?!? I'm no one special," I said to myself as I was looking at my laptop that still had all of the vampire and werewolf information on it.

I groaned loudly and hid my face into my pillow. My laptop was pushed further away from me and I made sure that it was closed.
