THIS IS NOT AN UPDATE; THIS IS THE FIRST, UNOFFICIAL CHAPTER OF SKINNY LOVE FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO WOULD LIKE TO READ IT

__________

A loud, obnoxious knock sounded on Reyna's apartment door, jarring her from her slumber. She let out a groan and leaned up in bed, glancing at the clock on her bedside table. It read 7:36 in the morning, a time in which Reyna did not feel comfortable waking up at unless she was working. She had just finished filming Captain America: Civil War, and she was more than intent on sleeping as much as she could before the press tours began. She couldn't do that, however, if people came knocking on her door at almost eight in the morning.

Reyna threw the comforter off of her body and got out of bed, not even bothering to throw on a pair of pants. She had a very good feeling about who was at her door, and if she was correct about it then they were more than aware that she only slept in a large t-shirt and her underwear.

She sauntered down the hall and to her front door, swinging it open. She was instantly met with a pair of beautiful blue eyes and a shining smile that she had grown to love over the course of twenty years.

"You are the worst person I know," Reyna grumbled as she moved aside to allow Sebastian into her apartment. "And you have a key. Why the hell didn't you use it instead of obnoxiously banging on my door?"

Sebastian let out a chuckle and moved over to her couch, setting down a tray of coffee, as well as a big bag of breakfast foods. "My hands were full, doll."

"Okay, Bucky," Reyna said with a roll of her eyes. "What did you bring me, though?"

"Mocha frappé with extra chocolate syrup and two chocolate chip muffins with extra chocolate chips," Sebastian smirked, handing Reyna her beverage and one of her muffins.

She smiled and took them from him, wasting no time at all in plopping down onto the couch and shoving the muffin into her mouth. "God, I love you."

"I hope you're talking to me," Sebastian teased.

She gave him a look. "Can you go get me some pants?"

He scoffed and pulled his bagel from the bag. "You act like I care."

"True," Reyna shrugged and switched on the television. "Why are you here, hot pants?"

Sebastian chuckled and shook his head. "You are the most forgetful person I know, Reyna Foster. You and I were supposed to hang out today before heading to the city to spend the rest of the night with Mackie and Evans. It was your idea; you said we all needed to spend some time together before the press tour began, which, by the way, is three days from now."

Reyna nearly choked on her muffin at this newfound information. She knew the press tour was supposed to start soon, but she wasn't aware that it was three days soon. She wasn't exactly good at keeping up-to-date with things; Sebastian or Chris were usually the ones who had to remind her about everything.

"Well, fuck," she groaned, falling back onto the couch with her muffin still in her hand. "Please tell me you and I are getting paired together."

Sebastian shrugged and grabbed her feet, placing them on top of his lap. "For the most part, but I'm also gonna be with Mackie and Chris. Did you get your dress for the premiere yet?"

"I'm not going," Reyna snorted, her mouth full of food and her attention on the TV.

"But you're in the damn movie, Rey," Sebastian chuckled. "Why aren't you going?"

"Because I'm Bucky trash and I refuse to sit there and watch them treat him like shit," she retorted.

Sebastian shook his head and started on his other muffin. "Your obsession with me is becoming too much," he muttered to himself, raising his muffin to his mouth.

Reyna kicked it out of his hands, sending it flying across her living room. "You are not Bucky Barnes. He's a small cinnamon bun who needs to be protected, and you, sir, are not."

"Whatever, Foster," Sebastian countered, getting off of the couch to retrieve his muffin. "But you are going to the premiere, even if I have to drag you there myself."

Reyna sat up, a smirk on her face. "I'll go on one condition."

"And that is?"

"You go as my date."

Sebastian seemed to freeze in his spot, his muffin now in hand. He pursed his lips as he looked at her, reaching his hand up to awkwardly scratch the back of his head. "I kinda already have one."

Reyna frowned, slightly upset that he already had a date for the premiere; they always went to premieres together, even if it wasn't a premiere for their movie. "Who is it?"

"Margarita," Sebastian sighed as he looked down to the floor. He knew Reyna's reaction would be one he didn't necessarily like, though it would be one he expected. It was the reason he refrained from telling her about it in the first place. But now that she had asked, he couldn't exactly not tell her; if he showed up at the premiere with Margarita by his side and Reyna had not been informed about it, he would end up in more trouble than he was about to be.

"You're seriously taking Margarita?" Reyna scoffed, throwing her muffin back onto the table. She was hurt that he was taking her, but she refused to allow her feelings to show. "Since when are you two an item again? Since when did you decide it's okay not to tell your best friend things?"

Sebastian let out an exasperated sigh before finally answering her. "Yes; a month ago; I'm really sorry."

"A month?" Reyna's eyes widened. "You've been with that rat-faced piece of shit for a month and you didn't tell me?"

"Reyna," Sebastian warned, feeling slightly defensive over Margarita. He couldn't help but feel a bit upset, though, that Reyna was acting the way she was. He knew she didn't like Margarita—she had made it more than clear on multiple occasions—but he wasn't expecting such an outburst from her.

"Y'know what?" Reyna cut him off, standing up and throwing her hands out in front of her. "I don't care. You have fun with Little-Miss-Cheats-A-Lot, and I will just go text Mackie and ask him to accompany me; it's not a big deal."

Reyna took off down the hall before Sebastian could say anything in response.

The truth was, Reyna cared about the situation more than she should have. It was no secret that Reyna shared feelings for Sebastian, just as he shared feelings for her. After knowing each other for so long and being so involved with each other for as long as they had been, developing feelings for one another was practically inevitable. The only thing preventing the two from being together was themselves, as well as their fear for ruining the friendship they valued so much.

Margarita Levieva did, of course, help contribute to the pair's issues. Reyna's animosity toward her had nothing to do with her feelings, however. She disliked Margarita solely because of the way she treated Sebastian, as well as the way she acted as a person. Margarita had cheated on Sebastian multiple times, but no matter how many times Reyna had attempted to talk some sense into him, he would always find his way back to her; he was too forgiving as a person, and sometimes Reyna truly hated that about him. She wanted more than anything for Sebastian to be happy—she was her happiest when he was happy—but she didn't want him to be happy with Margarita. She only wished she could do something about it.

Reyna grabbed her phone off of the bedside table and quickly scrolled through her contacts to find Mackie's name. After sending him what she had planned, she moved to her dresser to grab a pair of sweatpants to change into. She threw her dirty blonde hair into a messy bun before grabbing her phone and shoving it into her sweatpants pocket.

She hurried back into the living room where Sebastian now sat on her couch, typing away on his phone. Once he noticed Reyna's presence, he locked his phone and shoved it into his pants pocket, earning an eye roll from the dirty blonde.

"Way to be subtle, Sebastian," Reyna grumbled as she moved towards the television stand to look for a DVD. "What movie do you wanna watch?"

"Winter Soldier," he answered with a small chuckle.

Reyna sent him a glare. "You just want to see me cry, don't you?"

"Never that, no."

Reyna only shook her head and put the DVD into its player before heading back over to the couch. She grabbed a blanket off of the couch and wrapped herself in it, plopping down at the end of the couch.

Sebastian watched her with a frown on his face. He could tell she was angry with him, and he hated that. When Reyna was angry with him, it seemed to bother him more than anyone else being angry with him, Margarita included.

"Rey," Sebastian spoke, attracting her attention. "Don't be mad at me, please; you know it kills me."

"Then don't be a dick and not tell me things," she retorted. "Especially when those things include you entering yet another relationship with the one person you know isn't good for you."

Sebastian sighed. "She's changed, I promise."

"That's cool."

"Come here and cuddle with me, doll," he said, holding his arms out to her.

She eyed his outstretched arms with narrow eyes. The offer was tempting, but she couldn't bring herself to do so now that he was involved with. . .her. "You have a girlfriend, genius."

"That doesn't mean you're not still my best girl, though," he chuckled, grabbing her and pulling her to him before she could protest.

"I hate you," she mumbled, relaxing against his side.

He tightened his grip around her out of spite, knowing it would annoy her. "Yeah, you love me."

Reyna only let out a sigh in response and reached into the pocket of her sweatpants where her phone was currently vibrating. She pulled it out and was immediately met with an iMessage alert from Mackster.

Sebastian watched without Reyna's knowledge as she unlocked the device, reading over the text message he had sent her.

MACKSTER: Of course I'll take you to the premiere, kid. But, truth be told, you'd look so much better on Seb's arm than she would. And I mean that in more ways than one. See you tonight, baby Rey.

Sebastian frowned and turned his attention back to the television. He wanted nothing more than to admit that Anthony's words were true, but he just couldn't bring himself to do so. He valued Reyna and her friendship far too much to risk messing it up. He never could have foresaw, however, that taking the risk with her would have done far less damage than not doing so.
