Conflagration

they all said
she was playing with fire
that what she was doing
was dangerous
that she was
going to get burned
and they were right
the fire ate her up
but not in the way they thought
for the flames had come
from within her
they'd finally burned their way
out from their prison
of skin and bones
until she was the conflagration
ready to burn down the world
