A Losing Battle

I'm fighting a losing battle
it's a battle against my heart
I think I lost when I wondered
if losing wouldn't be so bad
and now I'm left to miss the days
when I had control of my mind
but it seems my heart has decided
to give itself away
and against my will, I've decided
that my power belongs in another's hands
yet still I'll fight this losing battle
because maybe it'll take a turn
maybe I'll have control again
or maybe it'll crash and burn
