Jin's House

Jin's POV

Today's the day I go to the World of the Living. In half an hour, I'll be leaving with Rangiku and Captain Hitsugaya. Rangiku sounded excited when I accepted her offer. Maybe she wants to see what I'm capable of?

Or maybe....? I trailed off, for a moment, before reality kicked in.

I shook my head, and thought 'That can't be it. There's no way that she 'like' likes me. After all, she likes Gin Ichimaru, the man who disappeared alongside with Aizen. I wonder where they went?' As I pondered on this thought, I began packing my bag.

As I was putting things in my bag, many thoughts ran through my head. 'Have the humans changed? What's so different about them? Do they have cookies? Why do they exist? Who made them?'

That last question made me smile. I shook my head, and thought 'Silly me, I know these answers already. Asking them again will only gain the same answer.' I scratched my head, and continued to pack.

I slipped on my backpack, and left a note for Sakura and Ichika when they get home. I also left them some money, and left my music device, along with the headphones. I noticed something near my feet. A piece if wood, maybe? I bent down, and picked it up. A wooden broadsword, and a wooden rapier. I smiled, and thought of the time I made these.....

*Flashback*

"Hey, Uncle Jin! Whatcha makin'?" A younger Sakura asked.

I smiled, and showed her a half-finished training sword in the shape of a katana.

She stuck her lips out, saying "Ooooh! Can you make me one, too?"

I nodded, and went back to work.

*Flashback*

I placed them onto the table, and turned around. I walked to the door, and left. Today is the day.

Time to kick some Hollow butt!!

I jumped onto my roof, and leaped across the other roofs, making my way to the 10th Division.

While I was flying through the air from a leap, my blade vibrated. I drew her, and thought 'What is the matter?'

I landed, and she replied 'A Hollow will appear in Karakura Town soon.' I nodded, and sheathed her. I began sprinting, and jumped over a wall.

'Where's Karakura Town?'

10th Division

Rangiku's POV

"Alright, that should be enough stuff!" I clapped my hands, and closed my bag. I then went to Toshiro's office, and knocked. "You may enter!" He called. I slid open the door, and said "All ready, Captain!"

He turned to look at me, and examined me. "I see. Well, we better get going. Where's Jin?" I heard a thump behind me, and looked to see Jin, standing there, with a backpack slung over his shoulder, smiling.

"He's right here." I pointed behind me. I looked back at my Captain. He folded a few papers, and set them on his desk. He licked his finger, and pulled out a folder...or dossier, as he calls it.

"Give this to Jin." He said, and passed it to me. "That's the soul that you will be looking for." He said. Jin looked through the folder, and nodded.

"Is your mission clear?" Toshi.... Captain Hitsugaya added.

Jin looked up at him, and nodded, having a serious look on his face. I've never seen that look before. Is this what he looks like when he goes on a mission? But, this is his first time going to the Real World. Why would he act like this?

"Rangiku. We better get going."

"Huh? Oh, right." I said, scratching my head, nervously.

Toshiro walked out, with Jin and I following not too far behind. Jin still had that same look plastered on his face. "Jin?" I asked, a little worried.

He looked at me with a quizzical look.

"Are you alright? You seem to be more serious than usual." I stated. Then, Captain Hitsugaya said "He follows orders, and never backs down. Why else do you think he looks like that?" He finished, looking back at us.

"Sorry, Captain." I scratched my head nervously again. "I didn't know."

He shook his head, and said "Matsumoto....." I looked at Jin, who was just minding himself. He looked at me, and smiled.

I smiled back, and continued walking.

"Alright. Jin, open up a gate, and we'll enter quickly. Understood?" Jin nodded.

He drew his zanpakuto, and sliced the air. A portal to the Real World appeared, and Toshiro went through first. I went in next, and Jin came in last. He closed the portal behind him, and we teleported to the World of the Living.

I clapped a few times quickly. "I'm so excited!!"

Jin's POV

We made through the portal, and were falling from quite a distance, in the sky. My eyes widened, as I saw how fast we were free-falling.

"Damnit, Jin!!!" Toshiro yelled. "I thought you've been here before!!"

I shrugged, and held three fingers up.

"3 days?" Both of them asked.

I shook my head.

"Weeks?"

I shook my head again.

"Months?"

I shook my head, once again.

"Years?"

I nodded.

"You haven't been here in over 3 years?! Why didn't you tell us?!" They both asked.

I made an angry look, and pointed at my neck, showing them the scar. "Sorry!" They both apologized, and sweatdropped. I wrapped some bandage around my face, before I came up with an idea.

I drew my blade, and pointed it towards the sky. 'Screech, Banshee of the North!' I thought, and began flying to the earth, faster than before. I used my other hand to grab the others, and began flying.

Karakura Town

1:00 PM

Early afternoon...

Ichigo's POV

That's another Hollow! Man, these Hollows have been crazy! What's been drawing them? Wait... I hear something.....

It sounds like.... a whistling sound.

No, more like a piercing screech. What is it? It's starting to bother my ears now. I put my pinky in my ear, and scratched the inside for a few seconds.

"Kurasaki-kun? Do you hear it, too?" Orihime asked, looking around.

"Yeah. Do you know what that is?" I asked.

"No. But, wait.... Look!" She said, pointing upwards. I looked up, and saw a person, flying towards us.

"What the?!" I exclaimed, and drew Zangetsu. All of a sudden, a sound wave hit, sending me flying.

"AAGGHH!" I yelled, before Chad caught me. "Thanks."I said. He nodded. The wave stopped. I looked at where I was hit, and saw two people I recognize, and one other figure, whom I didn't know.

"Rangiku! Toshiro! What are you doing here?" I asked.

Captain Hitsugaya fumed, and said "It's Captain Hitsugaya to you."

"Oh, we're actually looking for a couple of souls. What about you?" Rangiku replied.

"Oh, just cutting a few Hollows down. Who is that behind you?" I asked, pointing towards the man.

Jin's POV

I looked towards the young man who asked about me. "Oh, him? This is Jin Sairento. Come on, don't be shy!" Rangiku pulled me out from behind her and Captain Hitsugaya. Rangiku lead me to the few strangers in front of me. "Jin, this is Ichigo. Ichigo, this is Jin." She introduced us.

"Nice to meet you, Jin." Ichigo said, holding out his hand. I took hold it, and shook it. "Why are you so quiet?" He asked, as we let go of each other's hand. I removed my mask, and showed him the scar on my neck.

"Oh. I... I'm sorry. I didn't know." He apologized, as I placed the bandage into my backpack. "It's okay." Rangiku said. "Everybody asks him that." She looked at me, and smiled. "He's used to it." I smiled, and pointed to the others behind Ichigo.

"Huh?" He looked at the others, before realizing what I meant.

"Oh! These are my friends. This is Orihime Inoue." He said, as I shook hands with a orange haired, blue eyed girl. "Nice to meet you." She smiled.

"This is Chad. He doesn't talk much." The tan skinned, brown haired, muscular man nodded, then I shook his hand. I nodded back.

"This is Uryu Ishida." I shook hands with a dark blue haired, glasses wearing man. "Pleasure to meet you." I smiled, and nodded.

"And this, is Rukia Kuchiki." He said. I waved at her. "Hey, Jin." She smiled.

"Wait, you two met already?" Ichigo asked, surprised.

"Yeah. We met in the Soul Society." Rukia said, and wrapped her arms around my waist.

"It's good to see you again." She said, and let go. "We last saw each other two months ago. Before I came to this world. He's one of my close friends. Isn't that right, Jin?" I gave her a closed eye smile, and nodded in agreement.

She smiled, and looked back at Ichigo, who was now in his real body.... I think.

"Where's your gigai? Don't you have one?" Rukia asked, a little worried.

I shrugged, and my phone vibrated. I pulled it out, and received a text from Ikkaku. It read 'Hey. Thanks for yesterday. Peace, man.' I clicked it shut. "Who was that?" Rangiku asked, peeking over my shoulder.

I showed her a picture of Ikkaku and I, in our sword training gear. "Oh, you're friends with Baldy!" She laughed.

I nudged her, and couldn't help but smile at her nickname for Ikkaku.

"Hey!" She said, as I picked her up, and began tickling her.

"Stop it! HAHAHAHA!! That's my ticklish spot! HAHAHA! Stop it, please! HAHAHA!" I put her down, and smiled at her. She looked so beautiful when she smiled. I hugged her, and placed my hand on her waist. I felt her hair with my other hand.

"Jin. You really care for me, don't you?" She asked, looking right into my eyes. I nodded, and smiled yet again.

She let go of me, and stretched. "Well, we better find our gigai! Let's go, guys!" Rangiku exclaimed, pulling both Captain Hitsugaya and I behind her. "MATSUMOTO!!" Toshiro yelled.

20 minutes later of gigai-searching later.....

Still Jin's POV

Well, the good news is we found our gigai! We found them near a place called 'Kurasaki Clinic.'

The bad news..... We ran right into a Hollow's trap. It waited for us to find our gigai, before it attacked.

Toshiro attacked it with his zanpakuto. "Sit upon the frozen heavens, Hyourinmaru!" He shouted, as a large ice dragon attacked.

"Growl, Haineko!" Rangiku yelled, as ash spread towards the Hollow.

Both attacks hit, and caused the Hollow to step back. It charged towards us, unscathed.

"Damnit!" Rangiku yelled, jumping out of the way. Toshiro jumped away as well. "What are you doing?! Get out of there!!"Toshiro yelled.

"JIIIIIN!!" Rangiku called.

I pointed my sword forward and thought 'Screech, Banshee of the North!' A massive sound wave blasted towards the Hollow, ripping shreds of its body apart. It roared, and kept coming towards me. My blade shone, as it took its Shikai form. A second blade appeared in my other hand. I pointed both forwards.

My reiatsu flared, and I thought 'Make my enemies deaf, Banshee of the North!' A large sound wave echoed, and it covered a 5 mile radius.

The Hollow fell to the ground with a loud SPLAT! The other chunks began to disappear. I slashed in midair, wiping the blood of my blade. The blood hit the ground in a linear splat. I sheathed her, and placed it in my scabbard.

'One down, three to go.'
