The BlazeClan camp was a clearing in a lush, green forest, with a long boulder bordering the south-east side. At one end there was a big hollow rata tree, the Hightree, where Stormstar made his announcements from. Inside the tree was Stormstar's den.

The warriors den was a tree that had grown back on itself, providing natural cover, and the apprentices slept in a bramble thicket. The nursery was based under an overhang of the boulder, which a bramble screen had been placed around to provide a makeshift wall.

The elders den was in the far corner of the clearing, hidden under the roots of a tree. A small stream ran through the centre of the camp, this useful for water supplies and washing paws, as well as a popular site among apprentices. The stream pooled in the medicine cat den, another, larger thicket that grew against the boulder. A medium-sized rock by the gate acted as the place where the night guard sat, and a thorn barrier surrounded the clearing.

I wonder what the announcement will be about? Rowankit mind whirred excitedly. He watched as Stormstar put a paw forward. "Today is an important day." Stormstar meowed. "Today, I have the task of naming two new BlazeClan warriors. Birdpaw and Berrypaw, please step forward."

Rowankit watched in awe as the two apprentices stepped forward proudly, though not escape a few last-minute licks from their mother, Doebreeze. Stormstar dropped from the Hightree, just in front of Birdpaw and Berrypaw, and turned to Birdpaw.

"I, Stormstar, leader of BlazeClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to learn the noble ways of your code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn." Birdpaw's eyes gleamed as Stormstar continued.

"Birdpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"
Rowankit saw Birdpaw take a short breath in. "I do."
"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Birdpaw, from this day on, you will be known as Birdfallow. StarClan honours your speed and quick thinking, and we welcome you as a full warrior of BlazeClan."

Rowankit watched as Stormstar rested his muzzle on Birdfallow's head, and saw the new warrior give the leaders shoulder a quick lick before stepping back. Incredible... Rowankit looked on, completely immersed as Stormstar repeated the procedure to Berrypaw. "I do," Berrypaw said with a puffed out chest.

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Berrypaw, from this day on, you will be known as Berrystripe. StarClan honours your positive mindset and intelligence, and we welcome you as a full warrior of BlazeClan."

Again, Stormstar rested his muzzle on Berrystripe's head and received and quick lick on the shoulder. Rowankit heard the clan begin yowling the new warrior's names, and quickly joined in. "Birdfallow! Berrystripe! Birdfallow! Berrystripe!"
