If it weren't for the fact that I could possibly fail my final for being late, then I would be giving Brendan an earful right now. What he did for me last night was really nice of him, but it's causing me to have a panic attack right now. I have never in my life gotten dressed so quickly.
I practically run into my class, so it's a good thing that I'm only about fifteen minutes late. It could have been worse... For example, Aria decided not to show up for her finals at all. She claimed that Alex missed her. Who knows if she'll even pass her classes now.
Fortunately, my teacher doesn't notice when I slip into a seat right next to the door. I catch my breath while he hands out the test forms. Brendan will never hear the end of this.
I take my final and turn it in with the most confidence. It went really well, actually.
I wonder how Brendan is doing...

"I hate you!" I scream while I stomp into Brendan's dorm.
"What did I do?" He asks, placing his hand on my shoulder, turning me around to face him.
"You made me late to class!"
"That's not my fault!" He says. "Did you forget set your alarm?"
"Yes, but only because you surprised me with food and my favorite movie!" I sigh.
I'm really upset at him, but he was only trying to help me relax about my tests. I shouldn't be yelling at him.
He doesn't respond, but he sits down next to me. He leaves space in between us, just in case I start yelling again, I guess.
"I'm sorry, Brendan. I've just been so stressed." I pull him into a hug. "Thank you for last night, though. It was really sweet of you."
"Anything for my girl." He pulls me closer against his chest and places a short, sweet kiss on my lips.
I close my eyes and take a deep breath. I don't want to face the upcoming days ahead. I just want to be with Brendan and and relax! But unfortunately I have to keep my mind on school.
We spend the rest of the night together and before I go to sleep I triple check that I set my alarm for the morning.
The next few days are filled with stressful tests and a lot of coffee. Brendan brought me coffee every single day of my finals. He was the sweetest.
Once all of my exams, as well as Brendan's, are over, I feel the most relaxed I've been in a long time. Brendan promised me that he would take me out for dinner tonight, as a mini celebration of our first semester being completed.
I hear a knock on my door and run over to open it. Brendan wasn't supposed to be here for another twenty minutes, but I guess it's a good thing he's early.
"Brend-" I open the door to see someone I wasn't expecting. My father. "Dad? What are you doing here?"
His formal stance seems so rigid in such a casual place like my dorm.
"I thought I should come and visit you. See how you are doing?" He invites himself into my room and takes a look around.
"Yeah, that's great, Dad." I close the door and walk over to him. "I'm doing well. Thank you."
He looks out the small window that lies in the middle of the room. It overlooks the courtyard of the campus.
"No offense, Dad, but usually when you come to see me you are only here because you want something?"
"That isn't totally false." He sighs. "I came to remind you of the Wolfe Corporate Gala."
I internally groan. This event was one of the most boring annual events that his company throws. I usually go by myself, which makes me have to mingle with all of the middle-aged people who only talk about my father's business.
"Oh, yes. Thank you for reminding me." I clear my throat. "Am I allowed to bring a guest?"
"Of course, Victoria." He narrows his eyes at me. "Who did you have in mind?"
"Oh, um," My heart races at the thought of telling him about Brendan. "I was t-thinking of bringing my roommate. Her name is Aria." I stutter and speak my words too quickly.
"Sure. I can put her name on the list." He forces a smile, but I know he doesn't like when strangers come to these events.
Who else could I bring?
My father and I have a few more minutes of small talk before he receives a phone call. He makes an excuse to leave and says goodbye, leaving me and my empty dorm.
I sit down on my bed and bury my face into my hands. There's no way that I could get Aria to come with me. She's not into all that kind of stuff. I don't blame her, it's extremely boring. But I still have to ask her. I have to try to get her to come with me.
Another knock on my door breaks my focus. I really hope it's Brendan this time.
I run over and a smile comes over my face. It's Brendan standing there with a bouquet of red roses for me.
"Brendan!" I take the flowers in one hand and grab his hand with the other. I pull him into my room and set the flowers down. "Thank you for the flowers. They're beautiful." I smile and pull him into a hug, he kisses my cheek in response. "You just missed my dad. He came to visit me."
"Oh, he did?"
"Yeah. There's this event coming up for his company, and I would invite you if I could it's just that if he knew I had a boyfriend he would pull me out of school."
"Really?" His face looks amazed.
It's truly ridiculous, I know. But that's my father. It's the way he has always been.
"Yes, unfortunately." I roll my eyes. "But we can just forget about that. Let's go to dinner." I kiss him and grab his hand to lead him out the door.

"I had a great time with you tonight." I wrap my arms around his neck.
"I had a wonderful time with you, too." He places a kiss on my forehead. "I'm so happy that finals are over and we can just have fun for awhile." He says.
"What are your plans for Christmas?" I ask him.
"Hmmm..." He pretends to think for a moment. "Whatever your plans are." He smirks.
"Maybe I could find time for you." I smile.
"Maybe you could find time for me?" He asks me in disbelief.
"Well, I am pretty busy, you know."
"Oh, okay. I see how it is." He says before placing his lips on mine.
"Can I see you tomorrow?" I ask after pulling away from him.
"I would love to see you tomorrow." He says.
I smile at his words, like I usually do, and give him another kiss before heading into my room. He always leaves me smiling.
