"Sniper.", both me and Raven said in unison.

Tumango lang siya sa amin at tumingin kay Raven. He smirked at her.

"Your uniform looks good on you.", sabi niya. Bored na tingin lang ang ginanti ni Raven sa kanya.

"Do you have any business in the library? You're blocking our way." Napailing nalang ako. Kahit kailan talaga, napaka-harsh talaga ng babaeng ito.

"Well I don't have any business in the library. Pero bakit kayo magkasama?" To be honest, his sudden question surprised me. I also noticed the surprised look on Raven's face.

"As far as I know, hindi na iyan trabaho ng presidente.", I sarcastically said.

Raven gave me a look. Alam na niya na hindi mabuti ang pakikitungo namin ni Sniper sa isa't isa.

"In case you forgot, I have the right to know everything. Bawal na ba ang magtanong ngayon?" Now the tension between the both of us just got even more intense.

"Yeah right. Like you have the right to know every shits that's going on in this school."

"What did you ju---"

"Stop it both of you. Sniper we're going." Raven looked at me at bigla akong hinila. "Let's go Miyahara."

Tumabi naman si Sniper at diretso lang kaming dalawa ni Raven sa paglalakad habang hinihila niya parin ako.

Her hand is cold.

"You need to stop doing that."

"The what?"

"That childish personality of yours. Wag ka ngang makipag-away sa kanya kung nasa labas kayo." I can see kung gaano ka iritado si Raven. Well based narin sa mukha niya.

"Hindi ako nakipag-away sa kanya okay?" I assured her but she just raised her eyebrows at me.

"You were."

"His question doesn't even had any sense. Nakalagay ba sa rules na bawal tayong magkasama?" This just sounded like we're a couple.

"Still, kontrolin mo parin ang sarili mo." I just sighed in frustration.

"Mag-aaway na naman ba tayo Raven?" Mukhang mas lalo pa siyang na-irita sa tanong ko.

"I'm just telling yo---"

"Shh quiet. Nasa library kayo. Lower your voices down." Great! I almost forgot na nasa library na pala kami.

I saw how Raven looked at the librarian. And I gotta admit, she didn't like it.

"Mind your own business old hag." We were all shocked at Raven. Including those na nakarinig sa sinabi niya.

Seriously? I mean I know she's cold pero hindi ko inexpect na pati librarian na nasa edad na 60s na ay tinatrato parin niya ng ganun.

"S-Sorry po sa s-sinabi nung kaibigan k-ko." Ako nalang ang humingi ng tawad sa ginawa niya.

Until now ay in a state of shock parin yung librarian at pinagpawisan na. Humingi ulit ako ng tawad at sumunod nalang kay Raven na naghahanap ng libro.

Tch. Tingnan mo nga naman! Iniwan pa talaga ako.

"Seriously Raven? What was that all about?" I tried to keep my voice as lower as I could. I also lowered down my head a bit kasi mas matangkad pa ako sa kanya.

Tinapunan lang niya ako ng isang bored look at nagpatuloy sa ginagawa niya.

Napasabunot nalang ako sa buhok ko.

Urgh Raven! Hirap mo talagang intindihin! Ano ba talagang tumatakbo jan sa isip mo?

"Stop following me would you? Nakakairita kana eh." I came back to reality when I heard what she said. Hininaan narin niya ang boses niya.

"Hindi naman kita sinusundan eh." Tinaasan lang niya ako ng kilay. Guess she was waiting for me to realize what I just said.

Napatingin ako sa paligid at nakitang nasa ibang side na kami ng library. Malaki naman kasi itong library namin eh. Bumuntong hininga nalang ako.

"Okay sorry." Teka? Bakit ba ako nagso-sorry sa kanya? "Ibabalik ko na itong libro na hiniram ko. Hintayin nalang kita sa labas", sabi ko nalang kay Raven.

Tumango lang siya at nagpatuloy ulit sa paghahanap ng libro.

Pati ata ako ay nahahawa na sa pagiging komplikado ng utak ni Raven.

"Oh? Nahanap mo ba ang libro na hinahanap mo Raisin?", tanong ko kaagad sa kanya nang lumabas na siya galing sa library.

Tumango lang siya. I stretched my arms first bago ulit ako nagsalita sa kanya.

"Then? Nasan na?", tanong ko nang makita ko na wala siyang dalang libro.

"Already done reading it." Nanlaki ang mga mata ko dahil sa sinabi niya. Napatingin ako sa wrist watch ko.

T-The hell? Mga 30 minutes palang akong naghihintay dito ah.

"T-The hell? You're kidding right?", hindi parin makapaniwalang tanong ko.

"I'm not.", maikling sagot naman niya at inunahan akong maglakad. Sumunod nalang ako sa kanya.

Buti nalang medjo kumalma na ang temper niya.

"It was a thick book though. As thick as the Harry Potter's book I guess.", she said that made me shocked again.

"S-Seriously? H-How did you even do that? Yung binasa ko nga yung lahat ng libro ng Harry Potter ay naabutan ako ng ilang buwan tapos ikaw? Almost 30 minutes lang?"

She looked at me for a second tapos binalik ulit ang mga tingin sa dinadaanan namin. Nakatingin parin yung iba samin.

"I possess something that ordinary humans don't."

She said, more like a whisper. But I'm sure na ako lang ang nakarinig nun.

What's that supposed to mean?

I wanted to ask her that but I just shrugged it off. Maybe I'm just overthinking things.

Napatingin kaming lahat nang bumukas ang pinto at pumasok si Sir Yamato sa classroom namin.

"Good Afternoon Class!", bati niya sa amin na binati rin namin pabalik. "How have you been? Nagsimula na ba kayong magself-training?"

Some just nodded and some just shook their heads.

Inayos naman ni Sir Yamato ang suot niyang eyeglasses.

"Okay anyway, I'm here to tell you that the Assassination Team Exam will be on Friday next week. Ang mga scores ninyo ang magiging basehan namin sa pagpili ng mga ka-grupo ninyo so the higher your scores, the better. If you fail to pass the exam, the school gates are open for you to get out.", he explained. Diniinan pa talaga niya ang last part.

So obviously we have to pass the exam hm?

May isa kaming kaklase na nagtaas ng kamay para magtanong.

"Excuse me po sir pero suspended po si Ms. Angel diba? Without our adviser, who will be conducting a test for us? Kayo po ba?"

Everyone in our class agreed with our classmate's question. Sinong magko-conduct nang test sa amin kung suspended si Ms. Angel? Imposible namang si Sir Yamato kasi may advisory class rin siya.

Bumuntong hininga muna siya at inayos ulit ang suot niyang eyeglasses bago magsalita. And trust me, the next thing he said made me clenched my fists and just wished he didn't say it.

"Max Park will be the one to conduct you a test."

•••••Hades' POV•••••

Matapos sabihin ni Sir Yamato na si Max ang magko-conduct ng test para sa amin ay nagpaalam na siyang lumabas.

Well as always, everyone started talking to each other again. Napatingin kami nina Raven at Maura kay Blade.

"We know you wouldn't like it."

"Hades is right Blade. Pero wala na tayong magagawa. All we have to do is pass the exam.", Maura said.

"He'll just conduct a test to us. What's so big deal about it Miyahara?" Raven just raised her left eyebrow on Blade.

I just sighed looking at the both of them.

Mag-aaway na naman silang dalawa for sure.

Tumingin si Blade kay Raven. "Yeah right. He'll just conduct a test." Sarcasm can obviously be heard in the tone of his voice. "3rd ranked assassin lang siya at hindi mentor."

But he's the Vice President of the Assassin Student Council idiot.

I wanted to say that but I just remained silent. Raven just rolled her eyes at him.

"Guys wag na kayong mag-away.", Maura said in a worried tone. I just sighed again.

"Let them be. You should get used to it."

"P-Pero Hades..."

"Kahit anong gawin mo, mag-aaway parin silang dalawa Maura. Might as well just save your breath." Tumango nalang siya sa sinabi ko.

Blade got our attention again when he started speaking.

"Raven may deal ako sa'yo." He gave Raven a playful grin and obviously, Raven didn't like it.

Even us were wondering kung anong deal ang sinasabi niya.

"What deal?"

"Kapag mas mataas ang score ko sa'yo sa exam, susundin mo lahat ng gusto ko.", seryosong sabi ni Blade kay Raven.

"Blade you're not actually serious are you?", Maura surprisingly asked. We were totally surprised because of what he said.

I just remained silent, just listening to them.

"I am." He seriously looked at Raven. "Well? What do you think?"

She sighed. She closed her eyes and massaged her nose bridge. "It's ridiculous. Ano bang nakain mo?", she asked.

She opened her eyes and I don't know if it was just my imagination pero parang nakita kong nag-iba yung mata niya.

You must be overthinking Hades.

"And what if I win?", she asked in her usual cold voice.

We diverted our attention to Blade, waiting for his response.

"Simple. Gagawin ko lahat ng gusto mo. I will be your slave until the school year ends.", he said confidently.

To be honest, since we entered Blandon High, si Blade ang palaging nakakakuha ng pinakamataas na marka sa aming klase. He may not look like it and acts dumb, but he's actually smart.

"S-Slave?" Maura looked at me at para bang sinasabing pigilan ko sila.

I just shrugged my shoulders. Kahit anong gawin ko, hinding-hindi ko mababago kung ano man ang iniisip nila.

"What's your answer? Payag kaba sa deal ko?", tanong ni Blade kay Raven.

We diverted our attention to Raven this time. Both me and Maura just stayed silent and just listened to the both of them.

She just sighed again and looked at Blade annoyingly and said, "Fine."

He flashed her a playful grin again. "I won't be easy on you."

"You asked for this. Don't give me an annoying look on your face when I beat you Miyahara."

"Yeah yeah. As if hahayaan rin kitang talunin mo ako." There he goes with that attitude of his again.

"We'll see." After she said that, Raven looked outside the window.

"I have a bad feeling about this.", sabi ni Maura.

Bumuntong hininga nalang ulit ako for the nth time.

~The next day

"Hades!" Napatingin ako sa babaeng tumawag sa pangalan ko. It was Maura.

"Buti nakita ka namin dude. Tara sabay na tayo sa classroom." I just nodded to Blade.

Sabay-sabay lang pala kaming dumating.

Lalakad na sana kami ng bigla naming makita si Raven na lumabas sa isang kakarating lang rin na kotse.

As always, everyone was looking at her. She saw us at tinaasan lang niya kami ng kilay. Maura just waved at her though.

"Good Morning Raven!", masiglang bati niya kay Raven. Tinanguan lang siya nito.

She looked at me at tinanguan lang rin niya ako. Well, ganyan lang talaga ang way of communication namin. I guess?

"Raisin sino iyon?", out of the blue na tanong ni Blade.

"It's definitely none of your business.", seryosong sabi naman ni Raven.

In just a second, mag-aaway na naman sila.

"Sungit. Tinatanong ko lang naman eh." - Blade.

"Curious rin ako Raven. Sino yung naghatid sa'yo? Hindi ko masyadong nakita eh. Sino yon? Boyfriend mo?" - Maura.

"Boyfriend? Ang batang-bata mo pa para magka-boy---"

"Isang salita pa Miyahara and I will cut your tongue into pieces." Tiningnan ni Raven si Blade na nakapameywang habang si Maura naman ay tumatawa lang.

"Woah chill lang! Bakit ka ba nagagalit sa akin tapos kay Maura hindi?"

I just looked at them habang nagtatalo parin sila at nagtatawanan. Well, Maura was the only one who's laughing though.

Habang pinagmamasdan ko sila ay hindi ko maiwasang mapatingin sa paligid. Para kasing may nagmamasid sa amin at para ring may isang napaka-dark na aura akong nararamdaman sa paligid.

I turned to face the car where we saw Raven when I heard its engine starting. Hindi ko alam na sa lahat ng sasakyan na nandito, yung sasakyan pa talaga nila ang nakaagaw ng atensyon ko.

Umandar na ito at tumabi ako. It'll pass right at us. Nang medjo makalapit na ito sa amin, I was a bit shocked when I kind of recognized who it was inside the car.

Their car has a tinted window but it was like I just saw right through it. And the dark aura that I was feeling got even more intese na para bang yung taong nasa loob nang kotse yung nagmamasid samin.

I blinked. Pagmulat ko ay nawala na yung dark aura na naramdaman ko. Nakaalis narin yung sasakyan.

What was that? It's impossible. Maybe I was just imagining things. Imposible namang 'siya' yung nakita ko. Magkamukha lang siguro at nagmamalik-mata lang ako.

Pero kung totoo man, bakit dun ko 'siya' nakita sa loob ng sasakyan ni Raven?

Napatingin ulit ako sa kanila na nagkukulitan parin.

Is it possible that you have a some kind of connection to 'that person' Raven?

"Hades?" I came back to my senses when I saw Maura's worried face. Their attention is on me now.

"May problema ba?", tanong naman ni Blade.

I shook my head. "Nothing.", kalmadong sabi ko.

"We should be going now. Classes will be starting soon.", sabi ni Raven na tinanguan lang naming lahat.

Inalis ko lang muna yung iniisip ko sa isipan ko. I can't focus on that impossible thing right now.

While I was walking, I couldn't help but to look at Raven.

Maybe I'm just really overthinking things. It's impossible that she's connected to 'that person'.
