Today I saw this weird thing in a hole. I think it was a fennec fox. It seems to be following me around. I tossed a few cactus fruits his way and he seemed to like them.

He is following just behind me now. I think I'll name him Dusty, yeah that's a good name. He is ma bestest friend now, although he does seem to be spewing rainbows from his eyes... I hope there were no hallucinogenics in those cactus fruits. There probably were though judging by the rainbows. Don't do drugs or cactus fruit kids!

Hmm, that's weird. I remember something, it's a little jar with some purple jelly inside. That might be cactus fruit jelly. I knew that they tasted familiar.

My little friend Dusty has started to trust me enough that he is riding on my shoulder. It's quite nice to have a friend in this sandy waste. He is definitely cuddly little fox.

I haven't seen that creature in a while. Perhaps it's leaving me alone, or it's getting stealthy. That means I'll have to up my hiding game.

So instead of walking in the hot desert during the day, I've decided to sleep during the day and walk during the night. It seems to be working much better than my original approach. I've been sticking my sand board in the dunes and using it as shade from the two beaming suns. Oh yeah did I mention the two suns? No I didn't did I. Well now you know.
