I can't write and post the update today (I'm baby sitting) so instead of leaving you without anything, I'm posting this little bonus scene. It's with Laura so you can see more of her. Tomorrow I'll post the proper chapter, worry not.

Many say they can't see Jennifer Aniston as Laura, but that's exactly why I picked her. Laura is supposed to be charming, lovable, kind, impossible to hate. Now let's see how she acts.

When Things Go Wrong

      Perfect manicured hands tap rhythmically over the desk while the other pinches the perfect bridge of her nose. Laura is brewing a headache because nothing is going as planned. She's waited all her life to get all she wanted, to fulfil all her dreams. She's worked hard, harder than anyone, and now just a little girl stands in her way and she refuses to disappear.

       Since she was a kid, she wanted to be a queen. She knew she couldn't be royalty, but she wanted to be like a queen. Riches, power, happiness. Not to continue struggling to make end meets, not to fight every night because everything is a mess. She wanted happiness.

      She was blessed with beauty and she cultivated it, outstanding because of it. She learnt to manage people, to make them love her and always help her. And like that she was climbing, dating the right boys, meeting the right people.

      Then she became Miss England and new doors opened, but Laura needed more. Wanted more. And after her parents died and the burden was gone, she could keep climbing.

      When she met Ricardo Escobar and she got a taste of royalty. He was a good man and treated her like a queen. And she didn't want to say goodbye to him. She wasn't supposed to lose him but with his death she was in danger to lose what she already knew as hers. Blanca could take it all from her, his stupid daughter. She, who had born in all that wealth, was supposed to take it all.

     When Laura found out she had as much of the shares as the ex wife, she lost her temper. How could he treat her like that? She was his current wife!

     Blanca hated her, probably the only person who did, and Laura knew the moment she took control of the company she was going to lose it all.

     Laura couldn't allow that to happen.

     In her fear and desperation, she knew she had to get rid of her only threat and soon. She was the current CEO and she would stay there. BEEB Group was hers.

     But something had gone wrong. Blanca hadn't died in that accident, she disappeared.

    "You said you could get rid of her. I'd be safe," Laura says softly, looking up to Dean with her big eyes. "You said you'd take care of her and I wouldn't need to live in fear." Her eyes tear up, tears that make him nervous.

     "I don't know how that happened. She went down with the car!" He is desperate, scared and sorry.

      "What do I do now? When she comes she'll throw me away. I don't have anyone..." her voice breaks, so she looks down to look more vulnerable.

     "No! I'll find her. You'll be safe," he promises and Laura hides her smile.

     She's not telling him what to do, it's what he wants to do for her. She's just... not stopping him.

     "Will you? Are you really willing to get that far for me?"
 
     She knows he loves and is capable to do anything for her.

     "Anything. You'll be safe, I'll protect you with my life. I'll find her and make are she never comes."

    She smiles at him, sweetly, innocently, vulnerable and it's all she needs to make his determination stronger. She smiles wider. She is safe, Dean will keep her safe.
