A night sky

A sea of stars

A full moon

And red-orange eyes.

"Who are you?"

A fond smile. Red-orange eyes fading away to a different but familiar colour.

"Why do you look like...?"

Blinking up at the ceiling from the floor, legs tangled in blankets and pillows sprawled out.

"What the?" Kaitlyn voiced out, blinking some more at the ceiling. Once her vision cleared, she breathed slow and steady.

'What happened?'

She moved her eyes from the white ceiling and to her surroundings, having some deep inner feeling that she was missing something, something important. Shutting her eyes, she could remember dreaming, but... couldn't recall what it was, just that she definitively dream't or seen something.

Next she heard a yell.

"OI KAITLYN!! WAKE UP! AOKO MADE BREAKFAST!"

Groaning at the others call, Kaitlyn ignored the warning and rapped herself up in the blankets again, remaining on the comfortable carpet floor.

'Ugh... too early... too tired... damn dream....'

Just when sleep was within reach, an annoying-relative-with-no-actual-blood-or-marriage-relations,-but-is-still-considered-family-in-the-end, crashed her door open with a bang.

"Its morning already, time to get up!"

Kaito exclaimed, ready and in his uniform, waiting for the dead weight on the floor so they can go next door and have breakfast with a girl he's known since childhood (while also having a crush on said girl since forever).

Groaning some more for the teen boy to hear, Kaitlyn tightened the blanket around her more tightly.

"Flive more minutes..."

Glaring down at the blob mess on the ground, the thief was trying hard to suppress the annoying smile threatening to rise.

"First, 'Flive' isn't a number, and second, this is the tenth time I've come in here and your on the floor, I'm starting to think you like the floor more then a proper bed."

"'cause floors mor' comfy, 'n your too nosey"

"Its noisy, baka, not nosey"

"See~ ya agree"

Sighing, Kaito dragged a hand down his face and looked back at his cousin ~ no need to say 'supposed', shes basically is his cousin now ~ and wonder if her Japanese was getting rusty. Having a strange thought, Kaito decided to try something. He took a breath.

"Wake up and Get Up, you lazy bastard!"

He yelled using his insulting-Brit-Bastard voice while speaking in an foreign ~ but familiar ~ language. He didn't have to wait too long before the ravenet responded.

"Ugh........ I'm getting up, I'm getting up...... you bloody prick...... keep ya yapping down"

Kaito's eyes widen at the strong, slightly faint American accent in the ravenets voice. She and he hardly talked in English ~ except for when testing out or impersonating foreigners ~ but they were hardly ever their own.

Listening to her voice ~ in her possibly first language ~ Kaito was shocked. Plus he now just learnt that a sleepy, morning Kaitlyn, is a grumpy cussing Kaitlyn.

...~...~...~...~...~...~...~...~...~...~...~...~...

"... then after I said this in English, Kaitlyn replied back in such a strong american accent that I was shocked!"

Kaito blew a bit of confetti as he was telling this mornings tale to Aoko, who listen intently and intrigued, while the mentioned ravenet in the story sat quietly at the table drinking some nice cool, refreshing juice, slowly becoming more aware of the other two.

"Say it again Kaitlyn! Talk in English so Aoko can hear!"

The teen magician/thief was hysterical at this point, thinking back at the moment while Aoko looked to be very eager and fascinated at the thought.

Both brunette teens have hardly ever heard their raven companion speak in any other language then Japanese ~ which most of the locals speak.

"If I speak in English will you both give me 5 minutes to myself so I won't possibly go to jail for both your murder?"

The threat was empty with some hints of bite and playfulness, Kaitlyn couldn't help but want to indulge them both. Besides, speaking in her real natural voice and language feels good.

The two older teens nodded eagerly and grinned a bit at the clear harmless threat, both their eyes shining like children who are about to witness a new episode of their favorite TV show.

Coughing briefly just for show, Kaitlyn thought to use this moment for a little bit of humour and poetry.

"His hair of brown and eyes of blue

That's the annoying prick who spoke too soon.

Oh fair lady, with childlike charms

Take pity on me, and my want to harm.

For I am tired and want more sleep

If I don't, I may kill that magic creep."

Aoko burst into laughter at the rhyme, understanding it thanks to the raven talking slowing for them ~ and dramatic flare ~ it also helped when she pointed at them to indicate who she was referring to.

"Oi you called me, Annoying, Prick and Creep. All those things are completely wrong!" Kaito dramatically flinging his arms around in protest.

"Sounds about right, Ba~ Kai~ To~!" Aoko was clearly enjoying herself, judging by the brightness in her eyes and warmth of her smile. Kaito blushed slightly at the girl ~ even if she insulted him, not that it wasn't already common between them ~ he would always love to make Aoko smile.

"Oi, lover boy, keep that mind in reality. Daydreaming can come when we're in class looking out the window."

Kaitlyn hid her smug grin behind her glass of juice, watching in satisfaction at the display of denials from the brunette boy.

"Why would I be interested in a flat chested girl like Ahoko!" He whisper yelled at Kaitlyn.

'Because shes the girl of your childhood dreams, and the fact you've cared for her since, well, childhood.' Kaitlyn deadpanned mentally, but kept a ~ almost ~ straight face.

"Did I ever mention it being Aoko?"

"Y-"

At Kaito's speechless face, Kaitlyn chocked on her juice, letting some of its contents spill as she laughed, tears in her eyes at the red expression on Kaito's face, while Aoko ~ who couldn't hear their discussion ~ blinked curiously at them.

Sorry if this chapter is short, I just couldn't wait to post something since I couldn't keep my promised way back about updating in the holidays. I have now graduated school! and have 3 months to lazy around or possibly write~

Anyway, this was just a short humorous chapter since I am at a writers block.
