Kaitlyn's POV

After I got a good distance away from the school ~ and the ticked off Witch ~ I walked around town and stopped by the park ~ the place where I meet up with the Detective Boys.

'Now that I think about, I wonder how they are doing? Maybe I'll bump into them again, that would be nice.'

~ a couple hours later ~

I walked around and met with a lot of people ~ most of them were trying to sell me something. Then I looked at the time.

"Hm... it's getting pretty late, maybe I should call kaito to tell him, I'll be late getting home?" (She walked pretty far, and so it will take a while to get back)

Ring! Ring!

I grabbed my phone to see who's calling "Huh, speak of the devil, *press answer button*

Kaitlyn: Yo! Kaito what's up

Kaito: its getting late, hurry up and get back home!

Kaitlyn: yeah, yeah, I know, but it will take a while for me to get there, I kind of walked a bit too far, but I know the way back so don't worry.

Kaito: just remember to get here, Aoko is getting worried. (That was I lie, he is the one that's worried)

Kaitlyn: hahaha, tell her I'll be fine, I'll get there as soon as I ca...

BAM!!! ~

Kaitlyn: What the?

Kaito: Kaitlyn! What was that?! Kaitlyn!

Kaitlyn: there was an explosion! I'm going to check it out

Kaito: what! Wait Kaitlyn don't...

I hanged up the call and ran to the sound of the explosion. When I got there, I found a building on fire and a few people gathered around ~ not many only a few. Then I caught sight of three boys I met from the park, run out of the building. I ran to them and asked if they are ok.

"Yeah were fine but... wait! Where's Ayumi!" The boy with glasses named Conan exclaimed

"What! I thought she was right behind me!" Genta exclaimed looking around for his friend

"Don't tell me" Conan then looked back to the burning building and yelled "AYUMI!!!"

"CONAN!!! PLEASE!!! HELP ME!" Ayumi's voice could be heard from inside the building.

"AYUMI!" Conan tried to run back to the entrance of the building until it bursted into larger flames, not allowing him to get any closer.

"Conan! Don't do it, you won't be able to make it!" Reasoned Mitsuhiko but be was just as scared for their friend as Conan was

"HELP! SOMEONE! PLEASE!!!" we heard Ayumi again, I looked up and saw her threw the window on the fifth floor, the fire was growing and cornering her.

'Now that I know where she is in the building I can get to her' I dropped my bag, leaving it with the boys and ran to the burning building.

"Kaitlyn! you can't! the entrance is blocked!" I heard Conan yell to me, but I wasn't going to go inside the building just yet.

I jumped on the side of the building and started climbing, I jumped from one window to another until I reached the window I saw Ayumi through. Once I was at the window I needed to be, I smashed it and entered the room.

Once inside I started searching for Ayumi, the room was covered in fire and smoke.

'Damn all this smoke, I need to find Ayumi before she inhales too much of it.'

"AYUMI! AYUMI WHERE ARE YOU!" I yelled out "AYUMI PLEASE ANSWER ME!"

"h-he-help *cough* k-kaitlyn" I heard a small whisper and turned in that direction and found her laying on the floor

"Ayumi!" I ran to her and placed a hanker-chef on her mouth "Ayumi try not to inhale the smoke" I told her, then I took off my school jacket and rapped her small frame in it.

"Don't worry Ayumi, I'll get you back to your friends safely" I gave her a reassuring smile as she faintly smiled back. I carried her in my arms closely as I stood up

Then I heard something crumbling behind me, when I turned to look, it was the fire getting bigger and the roof falling down

'Oh boy! Got to get out of here!'

I looked around and found another window in the room and bolted for it. I jumped into the window as it shattered to pieces, I used one of the ropes I keep on me ~ for jumping out of windows at school ~ and attached it to the building, and swung myself and Ayumi down to safety.

...

That is what I would have liked to say if the rope I had didn't get burnt and snapped on our way down.

Yup we were falling now

I looked downward and found that we were going to be landing on a car below us.

'Well? It better than hitting the ground. But it's still going to hurt, Man! and I thought that today would be a great day, HOW WRONG COULD I BE!'

I tightly held Ayumi towards me and turned my body so my back should face the ground ~ or car more like it. Then I braced myself and closed my eyes

BAM!!! CRASH!!!

I slowly opened my eyes as I mourned in pain, 'God that hurt, even with healing powers, the pain still sucks'

What I did was used my body to break Ayumi's fall, so most of the impact only affected me.

"KAITLYN! AYUMI!" I heard the boys yell

I pulled myself up still holding onto a now unconscious Ayumi, once I was up enough, I handed Ayumi to Genta

"H... here take her" I said as he took her from me

I tried to move off the now damaged car and onto the ground, my footing was disoriented as I struggled to stand straight.

"Kaitlyn! You shouldn't be moving! You just fell from a five stories height, it's amazing your even conscious after that!" Conan exclaimed worried and freaked out ~ because I survived.

I panted a bit but told them "don't worry about me, how is Ayumi? I think she inhaled too much smoke but I didn't have time to properly check." I said then slowly walked to where Ayumi was ~ still in Genta's arms.

Once I got to Ayumi I secretly used my white flames to heal her lungs ~ I couldn't heal her fully or else people will start to get suspicious. Once done, I looked to the boys

"Good news, I think she will be fine, just some burns here and there, but nothing serious, she'll be alright." I reassured them, Conan, Genta and Mitsuhiko sighed in relief. But now while they are distracted, it was time for me to leave.

No One's POV

When Conan, Genta and Mitsuhiko were distracted they didn't notice that Kaitlyn had suddenly disappeared until they turned around and noticed she was gone.

"Huh? Where did Kaitlyn go?" Mitsuhiko asked

"Huh? He just disappeared! But we didn't even get to thank him!" Genta complained

Now as for Conan, he was thinking the same, but he also wondered 'how did he survive that fall? Where did he learn to climb a five stories high building?'

'Just who are you exactly?' Conan thought to himself as he did an expression-less face, but in his eye, they showed gratitude.

Kaitlyn's POV

After I snuck away from the Detective Boys, I continued my way back to Kaito's House. Each step I took was weak but I was slowly getting better ~ my power can heal others and myself, but I'm not using it on myself right now.

I have a kind of policy that I do, I don't use my power unless it's really serious (like when she got shot in the heart) other times I heal naturally ~ technically it's still faster then a normal person.

On my way, a car stopped in front of me and Jii-chan came out, along with a worried looking Kaito.

"Oh hey guys"

"Don't go 'oh hey guys' to me, what happened?! Are you alright! What was that explosion? Look at you, your a mess!" He nagged me "come on where going home" he grabbed me a threw me in the car.

Then after we got back home, kaito ordered me to go straight to bed and rest, which I gladly obeyed ~ because I was really tired and needed some sleep.

(But what she didn't expect was for her to be sleeping for 2 days straight)
