Kaitlyn's POV

After the class little out burst, the teacher seated me behind Kaito. He stared daggers at me, while I just smiled and took my seat.

As class began, I straight up zoned out and stared outside, it was a lovely day, and I couldn't help but start to think about my Wonda Cat (Wonda is her Cat companion/pet/tutor/guardian).

'I hope Wonda is doing alright, but knowing her she's going to freak out, once she realises that I'm gone. Oh god, knowing her she might even go out and torture... no KILL everyone to find ME! Not good, not good at all! And why am I finally realising this NOW!'

I kept arguing with myself through the entire period and the next, completely ignoring the lessons, until lunch came.

No One's POV

As class came to an end, kaito turned around to face his new cousin, but when he faced her, he saw that she was completely spacing out, not even moving or blinking.

"Oi, Kaitlyn" he called

No response

"Kaitlyn" he called again

Nothing

"Kaitlyn!" He said a bit louder

Didn't even flinch

"KAITLYN! HELLOOOOOOOOOO!" He yelled now waving his hand in front of her face

"Huh! What?! What's happening?! What did I miss?!" She said in a panic, as she finally snapped out of her thoughts.

Then she got hit on the head by kaito

Bam!

"Oi, what was that for?!" She asked as she rubbed her head to ease the pain

"One! You were spacing out and didn't hear me calling for you! And Two! Since when and how long were you planning to come to school!"

"Ooooh... that... right... well you didn't expect me to stay at home all day every day, I'm mean really, do you know how boring it is there all by my lonesome" she wiped imaginary tears, trying to look sad.

Kaito had a tick mark on his head, not believing it one bit, while Aoko who was there the whole time watching them, moved to try and hug Kaitlyn. But before she could Kaitlyn disappeared in a poof of smoke ~ so she can avoid the hug.

She reappeared behind Aoko and tapped her on the shoulder

"Hello Aoko" Kaitlyn said to her, with a smile

"Kaitlyn! Wow I didn't know you could do magic tricks too?" Aoko said as she moved back a bit ~ from being startled by Kaitlyn

"Yeah, I learned some Magic tricks to prank some people, it was so much fun" Kaitlyn gave a mischievous smile after recalling some fine *cough* torture *cough* moments.

Aoko giggled "you and kaito, are really similar, no wonder your family"

'Um, technically were aren't really related at all' Kaitlyn and Kaito both thought

Then Kaitlyn felt a presence, that was producing magical energy 'hm... seems like theirs a witch here, a red witch'

From behind the trio there seated the Witch, Akako, watching them. She looked at Kaitlyn with interest but also concern, she did not for see this tomboy coming at all. The fact of not knowing frustrated her, but what spiked her interest was, what was her relationship with her soon to be slave/servant.

"Ohohoho, Kuroba-kun why didn't you tell any of us that you had a cousin?" Akako said to get in on there little conversation as she approached them

Kaitlyn who felt this coming and decided 'maybe I should act innocent and obvious'

As for kaito he wasn't too happy about see the witch 'great, now Akako wants to know about Kaitlyn'

Kaitlyn turned to the one with magic "hm? Are you one of Kaito's friends miss?" Kaitlyn tilted her head in attempt to look clueless

Without knowing it the witch blushed at the 14-year-olds (not really 14-year-old) act, she wouldn't admit it but the kid was cute.

Aoko turn to look at the most popular girl in school with a bright smile "Akako-san... are you alright you look a bit red?" Aoko said with worry

Akako shook her head and did her signature laugh "Ohohoho, no I'm fine, but Kuroba, you are quite mean to keep such a secret, that your cousin was coming to our school." Akako said with a smile

Others would think this smile was beautiful, but Kaito and Kaitlyn were no fools, that smile was in one word 'creepy'

The smile sent shivers down there spines while the others were oblivious because of her beauty

Kaito responded to Akako question after getting over the smile "Ah.. well that was a secret even from me" he said then looked to Kaitlyn with an 'explain it, or else' look.

"Well me and Aunt Chi planned this whole thing days ago, she knew that I would get really bored at home, so she enrolled me to this school, and here I am!" Kaitlyn explained short and simple

"Oh yeah, my name is Kaitlyn Kuroba Greig if you forgot, but just Kaitlyn is fine." Kaitlyn outstretched her hand to Akako

"Akako Koizumi, You can just call me Akako Ohohoho" She then shakes Kaitlyn's hand

"And the blond guy who's listening to us, you can call me Kaitlyn also" Kaitlyn said and everyone were shocked to find out that indeed, someone they know was listening in

"Hm~ you are an interesting kid, the names Saguru Hakuba nice to meet you" he said as he approached them

"Nice to meet ya, Hakuba-san" Kaitlyn greeted

Hakuba smirked "very good you got some sharp eyes, but how did you know I was a detective?" He said with a raised eyebrow

'Hm... he's clearly suspicious of me, he must know about kaito being a Phantom Thief, and he suspects me of being one as well, guess I'll have some fun with him.' Kaitlyn thought and smirked evilly in her head

"Trust me mate, your whole presence oozes Detective and I would have added some more stuff like. You have a British accent, and from the smell, I'm guessing that you have a pet hawk, you also seem to have this rivalry vibe between you and kaito, and you have a secret crush on someone" she pointed her thumb at Akako indicating that it's her.

Hakuba blushed as he denies that last statement, Kaitlyn and kaito simply laughs at the blond. Kaito is actually proud of Kaitlyn, for embarrassing the detective like that.

The day was spent with Kaitlyn get familiar with the school and some people, she also was plotting with kaito in how they should prank the blond detective (he has become their personal test dummy for their shenanigans), with Kaitlyn and Kaito together, things in Ekoda just got more intense.
