           Nadya Hart only tasted death.

When she walked into the house, air dry with a smell of mold, she saw her mother's body on the wooden floor with a blood stain on her chest, eyes open and fingertips stained with crimson liquid. Her mother had been murdered by her father which resulted in her father to kill himself. She didn't cry, she didn't mourn for the death of her parents. She simply tossed a white rose onto their caskets, poking her fingers with its thorns until it drew blood.
She only knew death, only experienced it among the people in Shiganisha. When the Titans breached the wall (thanks to the new Colossal and Armored Titan), Nadya watched her brother get crushed by a Titan. Something inside her snapped. She didn't want death to end but she didn't want it continue. Death was all she knew and since her parents and her brother's death, she wanted to avenge them. Especially since she cut herself off from her half sister Wren Glass.
Just before Nadya's parents died, Lilith told Nadya about her having an older half sister who was in her thirties. Nadya felt lied to her. Wren knew of her existence but refused to take her in when Lilith and Richard passed. This left Nadya to live with her drunk brother, Mateo. But he's gone, thanks to the Titans.
So Nadya joins the Cadet Corps, to avenge those lost in the fall of Wall Maria and maybe avenge her family. Something about her parent's death didn't seem to settle right with the girl and she was going to fight for her family's name.
Even if there is a sudden competition to the top of her class between Jean Kirstein and Eren Yeager.
