The ship finally sat down and Leonard took off his straps then mine. We didn't get to have the talk yet because he kept pushing it off. I decided to just drop it.

"I'm not the only one whose vision is blurry in their left eye, am I?"

"Oh...seeing three of everything? That's normal right?" Jax asked after Stein.

"Yes, as I mentioned before, the effect of time travel on the human body increases with the length of each jaunt."

"So where are we?" Kendra asked Rip.

"Harmony Falls, Oregon. According to Captain Baxter's intel, Savage makes an appearance in the quaint little hamlet." Leonard stood up and sighed while I remained seated.

"What the hell is Savage doing in Pleasantville?" Jax asked and I smiled.

"Murder, apparently. Several denizens of Harmony Falls have been brutally slain, and others have gone missing."

"Huh. Kind of like Rory." Jax said looking at Leonard. Leonard rolled his eyes while I stood up ready to give Jax a piece of my mind when Leonard stopped me by wrapping his arms around my stomach.

"Easy Blackbird." He whispered and I relaxed into his arms.

"Reports are vague, but it seems like the killer is an expert with knives."

"That sounds like Savage's MO." Sara said.

"Yeah, but serial killing isn't. Sounds pretty small-time for a guy who's had coffee with Hitler." Ray added.

"Yeah, well, clearly we have to assume that Savage has a larger, more nefarious plan. But since we've jumped back in time, Savage isn't expecting us here." Rip said.

"Savage is pretty good at hiding, even in a small town so how do you plan to find him?" Kendra asked.

"By investigating these murders. Now there has to be a common link between the victims, starting with the first. A piano teacher was found slain in her home, which is now on the market. Dr. Matt Miller was found murdered on the grounds of the asylum where he worked. The sanitarium is in need of a replacement. Meanwhile, Jefferson is the perfect age to discern the facts behind the disappearance of three teenagers who went missing a week before these murders began." Rip finished and I looked up confused.

"So Raymond and Kendra are shacking up, Sara's Nurse Ratched, and Jax's the new kid in town. Where does that leave Veronica and me?" Leonard asked and Rip smiled at him.

"You are with me Mr. Snart, while I believe it would be best to leave Ms. Melody here on the ship."

"Excuse me?" I asked confused and Rip smiled at me.

"Honestly there is nothing for you to do Ms. Melody. We are in the 50's." Rip said and I sighed.

"So pretty much...Fine." I sighed and Leonard smirked at me.

"You get to be a ship-wife." He whispered and I rolled my eyes.

"Right everyone get to work." I sighed as everyone left but Rip and Leonard. "Now Ms. Melody, there is another reason I want you here."

"Okay?"

"I know you are having trouble with your magic, Gideon can help you create a practice space."

"Gotcha." With that Rip walked off. "Ship-wife really?" I asked Leonard and he smirked.

"Sure why not?" He laughed and I rolled my eyes. "I wouldn't mind coming back to you." I blushed at that. He leant down to kiss me and I backed away. "What did I do?" He asked after rolling his eyes.

"No lips until you're 100% sure you want me, and only me okay?" I said smiling making him sigh. He stepped closer to me and wrapped his arms around me.

"I want you 100%, I promise Nica." I smiled wide at him and kissed him softly.

"Good. Don't forget you said that either."

"So what are we boyfriend and girlfriend now?" He asked rolling his eyes.

"If you want to give it labels sure...I guess. I was just going to say you are mine." I laughed and he smirked.

"I like that." He kissed me harder than I kissed him and I smiled kissing back.

"Mr. Snart!" Rip yelled and we pulled apart.

"Guess I better go. We'll talk when I get back, I promise Nica." I nodded and he smiled kissing me very quickly before rushing off. I sighed and walked into Rip's office and sat down.

"Gideon is everyone gone?" I asked.

"Yes Ms. Melody." I sighed and decided to walk to my room for a nap. "Do you need anything Ms. Melody?"

"No I'm fine Gideon."

"Mr. Snart has moved his items into your room. I hope that is fine?" I smiled and shook my head.

"That's fine, Gideon." I smiled when I saw the room had his stuff as well. It made me happy that he decided to do this by himself. "Gideon when exactly did he do this?"

"While you were in the kitchen this morning making your tea." I laughed and smiled softly.

"Thank you Gideon." I sighed laying on my, no...our bed.

"Nica...wake up." I yawned and opened my eyes to see Leonard in a tie.

"Don't you look dashing." I said grabbing the tie and pulling him to me. "You know kissing is a nice way to wake up." I whispered and he smirked.

"I'll have to remember that." He kissed my lips softly and I smiled. "Come on Kendra and Jax have something to say to us, I thought you could help." He said getting off the bed and holding his hand out for me.

"When were you going to tell me you want to sleep in the same bed?" I asked as I let him pull me up.

"I didn't think you would go into your room while we were gone." He smirked and I kissed him. He pulled a fedora on his head.

"Sexy." He gave me a smile, not just a second smile, but a true smile. We walked into Rip's office where Ray was eating something, Jax was just sitting and Kendra stood in the middle. Leonard pulled me over to a seat and I sighed until he sat down and pulled me down onto his lap.

"When did?" Ray asked and I blushed.

"None of your business Raymond." Leonard said and Rip nodded, Rip already knew.

"Okay so Kendra what's wrong?"

"Savage, we found him."

"That was fast." Jax said.

"Savage doesn't think I recognize him, which means he won't try to kill me. He can't steal my powers before I've found them." She said.

"Don't forget, we also have to figure out why he's killing the townsfolk." Ray said taking another bite.

"Are you really eating that?" Kendra asked him.

"Say what you want about Savage. He makes one hell of a casserole." I rolled my eyes as Leonard leaned on one of his arms and had the other wrapped around my waist.

"Yes, well, Mr. Snart and I have been analyzing these forensic files."

"Which reveal nothing except Savage is very good at making people disappear."

"Hmm something you both have in common." Jax said and I rolled my eyes. Everyone looked at Jax. "Are we just gonna pretend like none of this happened? That Mick Rory wasn't a part of our team? If you can just ice your best friend like that, I hate to think what you could do to us."

"Right now we need to stay focused on the mission." Kendra said to Jax. I relaxed into Leonard, which wasn't that hard to do.

"Look, Savage is going to be busy with this little cocktail party. Whilst you two keep an eye on him, Sara and Martin have the opportunity to find out what he's doing in the secret wing of that asylum." Rip told them.

"What about us Rip?" Leonard asked.

"We are going to look at these files again." I sighed and got off Leonard's lap.

"Have fun boys, I'll go cook you some food." I smiled and kissed Leonard's lips.

"Thank you Nica." He whispered and I nodded. I sighed as I walked into the kitchen.

"What to make..." I smiled as I started making sandwiches and dip. I opened a bunch of chip bags and placed them all in a big bowl. Since they were going to be busy I decided to make such an easy dinner. Once I was finished I smiled brightly and took it out to them along with a bunch of different drinks. "Here you go boys."

"Thank you Veronica." I nodded and pulled the chair that Jax was sitting in over to them.

"You could have just sat on my lap again." Leonard said biting into a sandwich.

"You guys are busy. I could help?" I asked and Rip handed me a file. I smiled and looked through it. "Um...this doesn't look like knife wounds..." I whispered and Rip heard me.

"What do you mean?"

"They look like claw marks to me." He nodded and sighed biting into his own sandwich.

"Captain Mr. Palmer and Ms. Saunders are back."

"Thank you Gideon. You two keep looking." I nodded and he walked away.

"Come here." Leonard said holding his hand out. I took it and he pulled me into his lap. "You look beautiful today." He whispered.

"This is a new side of you, I like it. But don't stop being a hardass okay?"

"Never." He smirked and I laughed kissing him. "You should cook for me more often, I love it."

"Why thank you." I told him smiling.

"Let's take a break you two." Rip said and I nodded. Leonard smirked and we walked to our room.

"I'm gonna take a shower first okay?" I told him and he nodded sitting on the bed. I smiled and grabbed my nightclothes from the table. Once I was done with my showed I walked out to find Leonard already asleep under the blanket. I smiled and crawled into the bed next to him.

"You took too long." He whispered wrapping his arms around me.

"Sorry." I whispered laying into his arms.

When I woke up he was gone. I sighed until I felt a note by my head.

Nica, I went to help Rip look around for more clues. Breakfast is in the kitchen, I had Gideon make it.

I smiled and got out of bed. I walked to my closet, that now also had Leonard's clothes and smiled. I decided on a dress that I hadn't worn in a long time. Once I was dressed I walked to the kitchen and ate my breakfast.

"Gideon thank you."

"You are welcome Ms. Melody. Mr. Snart made the tea for you and he told me what you would like for breakfast." That made me blush more. I only told him my favorite food once and he remembered.

"Hey you're up." Leonard's voice said and I turned to see him.

"Yeah, thank you." He smirked and nodded walking over to me. "Why didn't you wake me?" I asked and he laughed.

"You were so cute asleep." I blushed and he kissed me. "Come on." I nodded and followed him into the hall. "Wow...I..."

"Are you speechless?" I asked spinning around.

"You look beautiful." He kissed me and I kissed back.

"Hey you two come on." Rip said and I smiled. We were back to looking at the files again, honestly I was sticking with my first thought, they weren't knives they were claws. "I really can't find anything that will connect them all." Rip said again for the second day in a row.

"Maybe there is no connection." I said without thinking.

"You think..."

"Maybe he's experimenting on them. Trying to create the perfect army?" I sighed putting the file down.

"That's a good idea Ms. Melody." Rip said smiling. "Why here though?"

"Small town, easy to clean up by the government if anything goes wrong." Leonard said smirking at me.

"If whatever he is trying succeeds then he could get military backing." I added sitting on Leonard's lap since we both were done with the files.

"You both thought about this didn't you?" Rip asked and I nodded while Leonard gave him a hard stare. "Well...then you two are free with the files." I sighed and got off Leonard's lap.

"Come on, it's lunch time." He nodded and followed after me. "Jax has his date tonight, I hope it goes well."

"Why?"

"So he'll back off you silly." Leonard stopped me and I blinked confused.

"You really are sweet aren't you?"

"What do you mean?"

"You know how much this is hurting me and you keep trying to avoid it." He smiled and I walked to where I was only an inch from his face.

"Why wouldn't I? I know you didn't kill him, and I miss him too. I might not have known him as long but he was very protective over me."

"True." He kissed me and I smiled into the kiss. "Have you been practicing?" He asked me as we walked to the kitchen.

"Yeah...I've gotten a little better, I'm not scared anymore." I told him honestly.

"That's good. I want to one day see you at full power."

"You won't get scared?" I asked and he smirked.

"Never." I smiled at that and nodded.

"Good, one day I hope I can show you." He smiled at me and sat down while I fixed us lunch.   

Sorry it's been a while since my last post. I've been trying to see what other stories I can try to write that are interesting. So far this story is the only one that after I re-read still sounds great! Happy Thanksgiving or late Thanksgivings or Happy Holidays or Happy Fall Festival or Happy....umm what else is there? If you wouldn't mind telling me if you celebrate something different during America's Thanksgiving I would love to know!
