Mick and I couldn't find the safe at all.

"Seriously who doesn't have a safe?" Mick asked and I laughed a little. "What?"

"Nothing....but from the display in the hall I doubt this guy would hide his money." He grunted and then we heard an alarm. "Great now what?"

"Let's go." We walked downstairs and I felt like laughing. Leonard and Ray were trapped in a cage.

"Wow..." I whispered and Mick grunted.

"What the hell happened?" He asked.

"It was this idiot's fault."

"Your partner's fault." Ray said at the same time as Leonard.

"Honestly." I whispered and headed to look for the alarm panel. Mick came up behind me and pulled my arm. "Where are we going?"

"Fuse box." I nodded and he smirked. "You know you are taking this very well birdie." I laughed a little and he smirked. We found the fuse box and I smiled running over to it. "Flip them off okay?"

"Yeah."

"Don't touch that." We both turned to see Vandal Savage standing there. "Now come with me." Before we could respond Vandal hit him in the head with the butt of the gun.

"Mick!" I tried to rush to him but Vandal held the gun to Mick's head.

"Don't move or your friend here gets it miss." I stopped and he lifted Mick up by his collar. "Come along." One of his guards grabbed my arm roughly and pulled me along. I didn't want Mick to get hurt so I went along quietly. Mick woke up and tried to struggle. "If you don't stop I'll have my guard put a bullet in the girl's head." Mick stopped struggling after looking at me. "Now let's go see your friends."

Vandal forced us to go to the main hall. I was held back why he made Mick go first.

"We got a slight problem. The owner just came home. You're not going to believe who it is." Mick said as they walked out more.

"We meet again. Bring the girl!" The guard dragged me out and forced me next to Vandal and Mick. "Oh, I'm grateful for another opportunity to kill you." He said with a smirk.

"Let her go!" Ray yelled and Savage laughed.

"If you hurt them I'm going to kill you." Leonard said staring at Savage. Mick tried to struggle when Savage tried to touch my face.

"Stop struggling. I've had 4,000 years of training in every hold and pressure point known. But you already know that, don't you? That I'm immortal." Savage said pushing his gun more into Mick's head.

"I'm going to kill you anyways. That's a promise." Leonard said with venom in his voice. His eyes flicked to me as the guard gripped his hand around my throat instead of my arm.

"Oh, what have I done to deserve such enmity? No...let me rephrase that. What have I done to you? Perhaps you have targeted me for something I've yet to do. You traveled here from some point in the future." Savage said smirking.

"Catches on fast, this guy." Ray whispered but I heard him.

"Visitors from another time." He exclaimed happily. I was having trouble breathing.

"You're killing her!" Mick grunted and Savage had his guard release me. I fell to my knees and started to cough. "Birdie..."

"Roni." Ray looked worried as I finally caught my breath. Savage hit Mick again sending him to the floor next to me. I glared up at Savage who laughed a little. He then pointed his gun towards Ray and Leonard.

"You won't be so happy when the rest of the team shows up and knocks that smug grin off your face." Ray said glaring at him as I reached for Mick's hand. I don't know why but ever since we started this journey I've felt safer with Mick and Leonard than anyone else.

"Oh, why wait? A communications device of some sort, I imagine. Please. Contact your friends." He threw the comlink at Ray. "I'm looking forward to seeing at least two of them again." He smirked as I finally reached Mick.

"Mick?" I whispered and he didn't respond. I wanted to heal him.

"Well contact them." Savage said angrily. Leonard took the comlink from Ray and sighed.

"I'll make this short. The owner of the mansion we burgled is Vandal Savage. He's really interested in meeting you guys, especially our feathered friends." Ray shook his head disappointed while I was slowly healing Mick so that Savage didn't know.

"Your friends are cowards." Savage said getting impatient.

"They'll be here." Ray said with confidence.

"They're taking too long." He said pulling Mick away from me. I tried to grab him but Savage hit me with his gun.

"Roni!" Ray and Leonard shouted out pissed.

"They need an incentive." He was about to shoot Mick. Firestorm appeared and Savage jumped back dropping Mick next to me again. "Oh the burning man." Mick slowly started to get up.

"I don't just burn, pal." Firestorm said before throwing fire at Savage blowing him backwards. Firestorm landed beside us. "I blast things too." He looked down at me and Mick. "Hey you two okay?"

"I'm pissed." Mick said to him.

"Stand back." Firestorm melted the cage. Mick had sat up and pulled me close to him.

"You okay birdie?"

"My head hurts...but I'm fine." I whispered as he helped me get up. Ray ran over to me and tried to take me away from Mick, however Leonard got to me first and checked my head.

"You'll live Veronica." Leonard said giving me a small smile. "You both will."

"Let's just get the dagger and go." Mick said pulling me outside. Ray looked bewildered at the whole event while Firestorm just ignored it. We all walked out and I stayed close to Mick and Leonard which I could tell was upsetting Ray, but they didn't treat me like a child.

We walked over to the other four. Sara looked pissed when she saw the blood on my head.

"It's all good. Savage is down." Firestorm said as we got closer to them.

"Savage is not defeated by earthly means." Carter responded and I felt like rolling my eyes.

"Well, I hit him with a nuclear blast, so, you know, not that earthly." I really did roll my eyes with that.

"Go get that son of a bitch." Leonard said handing the dagger to Carter.

"Are you ready to end this?" Carter asked Kendra who nodded.

"We've only been waiting 4,000 years." They flew off to go face Savage.

"We got company." Mick said from next to me.

"Friends of Savage." Rip said before walking over to Ray. "You'll be needing this. Don't leave any pieces of it behind this time." I went with Mick, Leonard, Firestorm, and Ray. We all started to fight. I was using my voice while the others used their weapons. Mick was about to get hit when I made the guard go down.

"Thanks birdie." I nodded and smiled before flying to help Leonard as well. It didn't take long to get our grounds.

"We need to check on Kendra and Carter!" Rip yelled and we all went into the house. Before Savage could kill Kendra Ray shot him back. I walked over to him even though Sara and Ray tried to stop me.

"Ahhhh ahhhh ahhh aahhha ahhh." I used my powers to keep him asleep for a while. "We got about 20 minutes till he wakes up." Rip ran over to Carter to check his pulse.

"He's lost. Get Kendra before Savage recovers. Your voice might not work on him Veronica." I nodded.

"Come on, we can still kill this bastard." Leonard said, still pissed at Savage for hurting Mick.

"Kendra is the only one who can."

"We gotta go. Kendra needs medical attention." Ray said picking her up. I followed Leonard because he was pulling me behind him. Ray handed Kendra to Mick who rushed her to the Waverider. Leonard pushed me behind him before he started to shoot the guards.

"Gideon, get us underway as soon as Firestorm and Atom are on board." Rip looked at Mick. "Get her to the Medbay now." Mick nodded and I followed after him.

I stayed next to Mick as I cleaned his wound. We were in his bedroom with Leonard next to us.

"You did good Blackbird." Leonard said.

"Blackbird?" I asked curious as I finished cleaning the wound. "Done. With these herbs it should close up quickly." I told him and he took them from me.

"How do I do it?" Leonard sighed and pushed Mick out of the way taking the herbs from him.

"I'll do it. And Blackbird because I'm not calling you Nightingale or birdie. Plus little bird doesn't seem right." He said applying the herbs to my wound like I did to Mick. "This shit stinks." I laughed and nodded. "Why did you listen to us so easily?"

"You guys are the only ones who haven't treated me like a child. Although you were a dick to me the first time we met." He laughed remembering that day.

"I guess I was, but you did look like a doll in that dress." I rolled my eyes as he finished up. "We should get back to the bridge."

"Yay....time to get yelled at." I rolled my eyes and Mick kept me close to him making me smile. Once we walked in Leonard took a seat next to Jax. I stayed by Mick. Sara raised her eyebrows as we came in. I could tell she wanted to say something but she kept quiet.

I saw Mick pulling on the gloves he wore. I didn't know why he wore them but I had a feeling he would tell me in time.

"How's Kendra?" Rip asked as he walked in.

"The same." Sara replied rolling her eyes.

"So what now?" Jax asked.

"Now? Now it's up to you." Rip responded which made Leonard roll his eyes.

"To do what, Rip? Last I checked, every time we try to do anything, it all goes to crap."

"Oh, once again I must disagree with you. Thanks to Ms. Lance, Dr. Palmer's future technology is no longer in the hands of Vandal Savage's black market weapons designers."

"But it didn't do anything to change the fate of your world." Stein said looking at Rip.

"No. Vandal Savage will still rise to power in the year 2166." Jax stood up and looked directly at Rip.

"And your family will still die?" Rip nodded sadly. I felt bad for him.

"So what you're really asking is, do we want to fish or cut bait? Return to 2016 and live out the rest of our lives as insignificant losers or.."

"Make another play at becoming legends. Figure out how to end Savage and save the world." Ray said walking towards Stein, who I was next to.

"Preferably, without causing any more nuclear explosions."

"Savage has my attention." Mick said pissed as he looked at where my cut use to be. I smiled and nodded.

"Look, we didn't know Carter from Adam, but if you take out one of my crew, you better pay the price." Leonard responded smirking.

"Surely Captain Hunter has a sound plan." Stein said smiling until he turned to Jax. "What about you?"

"You're asking me?"

"I didn't give you much of a choice the first time, did I?"

"Well, I say we kick Savage's ass. For Carter."

"For Carter." We all said repeating Jax.

"So Captain, where are we going next?" Stein asks and I notice Rip has a smirk. We flew off, this time no one strapped in.

"Rip do you have a kitchen on this ship?" I asked my throat finally hurting.

"Yeah...are you okay?"

"My throat." He nodded and led me to the kitchen.

"Gideon please make Ms. Melody some herbal tea for her throat."

"Of course."

"Thanks Rip." I whispered, the burning wasn't as bad but it was still there. He nodded and headed back to the bridge. I took a seat as Gideon made the drink appear in front of me. "Thank you Gideon." I sighed taking a sip when Sara came in.

"Care to explain what's going on?"

"With?" I asked softly. She sat across from me.

"You, Snart, and Rory."

"They don't treat me like a child." She scoffed but sighed after.

"Nyssa made me promise to watch out for you."

"I can take care of myself Sara..."

"You're right. I'm sorry. Do you remember when you broke Tommy's arm because he pissed you off?"

"I didn't mean to." She laughed and I smiled. "What about when your dad took us to the station. He made you see the inner workings."

"While you just laughed until he said it was your turn." We both laughed, mine was quiet compared to hers. "Your voice hurts your throat?" I nodded and she sighed. "I promise to back off. I'll make sure Ray and Stein do as well."

"Thank you." She nodded and left. Mick came in after her, with Leonard.

"You okay birdie?" I nodded smiling softly.

"Throat?" Leonard asked smelling my tea. I nodded and he laughed a little. "Does that happen every time you sing?"

"If I don't use an actual song yeah...But using an actual song affects everyone not just my target." I whispered. The tea wasn't helping that much this time. Mick started eating some of the food before spitting it out. I smiled softly at them.

From that point on I decided to stick around the two criminals because I could see they were so much more than criminals.
