18 | Pinky Pie

The bags underneath Emma's eyes could not be covered by makeup. She was exhausted from the extra training Sensei Garmadon had her doing to catch up to the level the boys were at. It was an impossible task seeing that they had been doing this for two years and she had been doing this for months. Every day she pushed herself to a whole new maximum and she would have to ignore her body begging her to stop. She understood a straining exercise regime because she was a dancer, but this wasn't ballet or pointe, this was flying ninja kicks and ninjitsu. She still hadn't even tried to attempt spinjitsu but she knew that within the following week or so she would have to.

The only thing that Emma really looked forward to at night beside her late night conversations and secret relationship with Lloyd was her nice, warm showers. 

The girl let out a sigh of relief as the hot water rushed down her bare skin. A small smile rested on her lips as she ran a hand through her hair and tried to soak it in water so she could wash it. She let her thick hair tangle in her fingers before she picked up the shampoo bottle on the edge of the shower and squirted some of the light pink substance into her hand. Her eyes didn't pay attention to the color so she quickly just slathered it in her hair and scrubbed it into her scalp as the suds grew.

This was the most relaxing part of her day, and she would be lying if she said she didn't stand in the shower for thirty minutes just to have a half hour of peace and quiet all to herself.

Finally, the girl was done showering and stepped out onto the cold hardwood floor. She threw on some pajamas before walking to the mirror where she used the towel to dry her hair. As she was running the fabric threw her thick waves, she caught a glance of pink underneath the blue towel and immediately she screamed as loud as she could, letting all of Ninjago hear her rage.

In the room two doors down from the ninja's bedroom, Jay's head shot up once he heard her scream and his brain began filtering through his activities earlier in the day. He reacted fast and before Cole could make it to the doro to go see what his sister was screaming about, he threw his body in front of the wood and laughed nervously, "I'm sure she just saw a bug," he excused, biting his lower lip to hope the ninja all sat down and stopped worrying about their friend. "What did you do, Jay?" Zane asked, folding his arms across his chest as he stared at his friend. Jay scoffed, "Why do you just assume I did something?"

"Because Emma's not afraid of bugs," Kai intervened. "You are."

Jay rolled his eyes, "That was one time and it was a huge cockroach!"

Lloyd smirked and sat back down, "Dude, even Nya thought you were a little baby."

Jay huffed, "Look, she just saw a bug and it's all okay. Now, let's go sit down and get back to our game. Okay?"

Cole raised an eyebrow at his friend before hesitantly sitting back on the couch, Kai and Zane following. Jay took one last glance at the door before slumping next to Kai and he turned his attention back on the game. But he couldn't focus on the television for long before the door slammed open and made a loud sound as it rebounded on the wall. 

"Jay Walker!" the person standing in the doorway shouted, her eyes narrowed at the boy in blue as smoke figuratively fumed from her ears. "I'll kill you," she seethed, taking a step into the room where Jy had now flung himself up from the couch and hid behind Zane. "Oh my gosh," Kai said while stifling a laugh, earning a glare from Emma whose eyes burned with anger. "What did you do?" Lloyd said to Jay but while staring absentmindedly at Emma's hair.

"Dude!" Cole shouted, turning around to slap Jay in the arm as hard as he could. "Pink! You dyed my hair pink!" Emma screamed. She was able to keep her cool for a few moments before she let out a scream of anger and threw herself at the blue ninja. Cole was quick to his feet and wrapped his arms around his sister's waist, dragging her back and out of the room. 

She wrestled against his grip but the door shut and Emma and Cole disappeared down the hallway, leaving Jay, Lloyd, Kai, and Zane inside the game room.

Once the siblings were gone, Kai burst into a fit of laughter to the point that he had to hold his stomach tightly to keep himself from falling over in amusement. Jay cracked a small smile once he realized at least one person thought it was funny but it was quickly washed away when Zane swatted him in the back of the head disapprovingly. 

Lloyd just shook his head, "She's so gonna' kill you."
