A black she-cat sat on a hill, bathed in moonlight. Her pelt shone with starlight and her eyes glowed like the moon. A dark grey tabby padded over to the she-cat and sat beside her, nodded his head to her in a greeting.
"Greetings Rainshadow." The she-cat mewed, nodding back at him.
"Nightflare." Rainshadow hummed.
"I have caught wind of the new prophecy." Nightflare mewed, turning her green eyes to Rainshadow.
"Heed the one with the white heart, for they shall have a black soul. The black heart shall spill the black moon's blood before peace shall come." Rainshadow meowed.
Nightflare nodded, staring out over the moon washed moorland. "We need to warn them." She got to her paws and bounded effortlessly away. Rainshadow watched as her dark form disappeared over a fold in the terrain.
