Reawakening the past. 

"We're getting absolutely no where", Bridgett throws her hands up in the air, in frustration. 

No one could blame her, the six of us had broken curfew by sneaking out through the secret passageway and into the archives room to search for any records about Brynn Brown. The girl who was mysteriously kidnapped nine years ago. Her kidnapping connects my family to Xavier, and why my dad was so worried about me finding out something I shouldn't. 

"Maybe we've been looking in the wrong place all along?", Tori shrugs. 

"Beware all of you who separate the truth from a lie. Amongst you lies a courageous fool. Who thinks she's smart and cool. To solve such a complicated riddle, with no answers or ways to fiddle. Beware Brooklyn White, for all you seek is right in front of your eye. But be warned I don't play nice. If death is what you want. I'll be on my way not a second too late. Let the games begin an open challenge you'll win", I repeat to myself. The words written in blood at the cabin of fame. Could they be a prophecy?

"What are you blabbering about to yourself?", Bridgett snaps in frustration. 

"Don't you guys remember?", I ask as five heads nod in disagreement. 

"The cabin of fame, the message in blood. I think its a prophecy of some sort. A riddle."

"Maybe that's what we've been missing all along. The last piece of the puzzle", Austin exclaims. 

"No, we've just begun, Brook do you still remember the lines from the prophecy?", Stella asks. 

"Beware all of you who separate the truth from a lie", I repeat.

"Thats exactly what we're doing right now!", Bridgett exclaims "and we're getting nowhere."

"But what do we have to separate? What is true and what is a lie?", Austin asks perplexed. 

"I think Brynn's abduction", Sam answers "but every article on the web is of no help. They just go on and on about how the Browns and Whites were business partners and that Brynn's disappearance caused a rift in the Browns business."

"A business. Rift?", My ears instantaneously perk up. 

"Yeah, why?", Sam continues. 

"I have a theory, maybe the Whites had something to do with Brynn's abduction. My dad must've been mortified if I'd looked into the matter. So........does that make my dad a criminal?", I question. 

"We can't allegedly believe that your dad has something to do with the abduction but we could ask someone who knows", Stella suggests. 

"Do you think reawakening the past is such a good idea?", Austin intervenes "what if Brynn's abductor is still out there and comes after one of us?"

 "Good point Evans, now if I don't get some sleep I'm going to become a zombie", Bridgett yawns. 

"Noelle told me that Sydney and Amanda Brown died since they suffered from a list of paranormal abnormalities", I add. 

"Shrill screams, a mysterious fog, a contaminated waterfall and a message written in blood", Tori takes the words right out of my mouth. 

"How did you know?", I ask astonished. 

"Wendy knew Sydney, in fact they were besties and they didn't keep a single secret but Sydney died at the end of her senior year. It was a sad tragedy for all. Her body was hung from The Northern Tower on the East end of the school. People believed that it was the ghost of A-List academy or a suicide. Wendy believes it was a homicide."

"Wendy Carter and Sydney Brown, weren't they the hottest girls on campus two years ago? Prom queens and even the Miss Middletin Finalists", Sam comments. 

"If I ask Noelle she might become suspicious. Imagine if shes part of this conspiracy?", I state. 

"Wendy is in North Carolina, she won't be coming back any time soon."

"The only option we have is to go through these old records and hope to find something useful", Austin says as he starts rifling through the dusty documents and Sam goes back to clicking away on the laptop in front oh him. 

"Hey Sam, is there anything on the web about the Blaze and Whites?", I ask "if, the Whites did indeed abduct Brynn, Xavier knows something and that must be exactly what the Whites want to keep hidden. If we an find out whether the Whites and Blaze had a good relationship or were in constant feud, we might be able to get a potential lead."

"Why do I feel like Brynn is right in front of us? Right under our noses?", Bridgett groans. 

Little did we all know that she was standing in this very room.
