The truth is we lose ourselves in the process
of caring to impress those who are too foolish to care
We feed ourselves bitter lies
because the naked truth is too much to bear

Let me ask you,
Is it worth ruining yourself
over stupid mistakes of the past?
Is it worth crying over things
you knew weren't meant to last?

The ugly truth is that the world is sometimes
deafened to our loudest cries of agony
That those who succeed to break our walls
are ironically already broken
The truth is that your closest friend,can't always utter
the words you crave to hear

Do you realise how life itself is not perfect?
that everyone has demons of their own
Do you realise that you aren't alone?

Even superman isn't as tough as he appears to be,
you don't need half the things you watch on the TV
Society is wrapped up in sick,little lies don't you see?

"How foolish of me to think love is more important than happiness",
I've read somewhere
Our whole lives we come to fathom that love
isn't something we should hopelessly search everywhere

The ugly truth is we are far more amazing
than we let ourselves be
