five
One month passed since then. Jimin hasn't came out from his house since the police questioned him. I stopped by two weeks ago to bring him some food but he didn't want anything. I know how he feels. I didn't eat or leave the house for the first week. I cried my eyes out every night and had nightmares about her every night. It didn't help that she was added on the list of kills by that murder. Since Doyeon was killed there hasn't been another murder. But we did have a scare last week when a fifteen year old went missing. Turned out she just ran away with her eighteen year old boyfriend. She was found five days later trying to get on a train in Busan.
Since that day no one has went to school anymore. We found out yesterday that everyone who attended my school will start going to the nearby school until they finish cleaning up in there. Today I'm going back to school and I know it's going to be hard. They now have a law for students. We can't be on the streets after eight pm. But do you think that's going to stop people from going out. Hell no!
A week later Mingyu had another party where around ninety people were arrested for being out. No one is going to learn. I mean that. Even Namjoon was caught sleeping with another under aged girl from another high school. Finally he's behind bars. But I heard Hoseok will be attending this new school as a guard. I'm fine with him being there. Between Namjoon and Hoseok I always liked Hoseok better. He seemed more hard working then Namjoon, where Namjoon seemed to only work at our school to get in our pants.
After Doyeon's funeral Minok dropped by giving me some flowers. Me and her talked for a few hours before another storm came and she had to leave. Since Doyeon's death it's been none stopped storming which isn't helping my moods at all.
I walked to school holding my purple and black umbrella above me. A few rumbles of thunder was heard on my way but I plugged in my earphones turning it as loud as possible. I wasn't draining out the thunder, but the world. I want nothing to do with this sick world.
I saw my new school in front of me. It was a lot bigger then mine and had a lot more students. I watched as both male and female students ran up. Some of the females like me were in normal clothes unlike the boys who were wearing school uniforms. The principle at this school said today we would get our new uniform which is something I wasn't looking forward to. I liked being in my jeans and oversized sweaters. I felt safe in these sweaters. Knowing I would have to go back to wearing skirts and those ugly school jackets made me mad.
"Hey Jiwoo. It's great to see you out." Hoseok said as I pulled out my earphones. I gave him a weak smile before walking inside. He followed behind me as we walked down the hallways.
"I hope you like this school, since it use to be my old school." Hoseok laughed.
"Really? It must be cool to be back." I said. I watched as his smiled dropped giving me a grumpy stare.
"Are you serious? Who wants to come back after we finished?" He asked. I found myself smiling a little bigger. A nearby teacher called Hoseok over. Before he left he gave me a small hug telling me good luck.
"Yoon Ji Woo?" I turned around to see a tall man with a clipboard in his hands.
"Yes." I said.
"I'm the principle of this school. If you'll follow me, I'll give you your class number." He said. His voice was pretty deep for a guy his age and he looked pretty young. Maybe twenty-five.
I followed behind him as I got a few stares from people, they didn't bother saying anything since the principle was right beside me, but I knew once I was alone I would hear horrible things. The principle's office was pretty big but it might be because there was little furniture in the room.
"I really hope you feel safe here Jiwoo." He said. Yeah right. I don't feel safe in my own body.
Be safe. Those were the last words Doyeon said to me.
"I hope so to." I mumbled lying.
"Okay. I'm putting you in class D-2. And here is your school uniform. You can keep your outfit on today but please come to school in the uniform tomorrow." He said. I looked down at his plat to read Principle Seok Jin.
"Okay. I'm having a student drop by to help you to your class since this school is pretty big. Your class is on the third floor, but besides that I hope you enjoy your stay here Jiwoo."
"Thank you." I mumbled standing up. I walked towards the door to for a guy to burst through the door sending me flying back to the wall.
"I'm sorry I'm late!" The boy shouted. He turned around looking at me. His eyes went wild as he saw me. "I'm so sorry!" He ran over to me grabbing my arm.
"Yoongi please take Jiwoo to her class. The teacher should be there any moment." The principle said. I followed behind Yoongi who walked ahead of me out the office.
"So you are Jiwoo. I'm really sorry about your friend." Yoongi mumbled as we walked down the now almost empty hallway. Only a few students walked passed us trying to rush to get to their classes. I didn't speak to Yoongi until we got to the third floor. We walked passed a few other classrooms that gave us a few stares but it wasn't as bad as when we got to class D-2. I swear everyone dropped what they were doing to stare at us...well more like me.
I can't believe she got our class.
Why? They all spoke.
"Shut up you stupid rats!" Yoongi shouted. Everyone looked away going back to their work. I looked up at Yoongi to see him giving me a small smile. Maybe he isn't so bad
Maybe this school isn't so bad.
