Past continues...

The next day early morning,

At Bhopal Railway station,

Mohan was standing outside of the train and waving his hand towards his daughter and son.

"Aaru, be a good boy. Don't disturb Rago or her friends much."Mohan advised his son.

Aarav nodded his head innocently while his sister ruffled his hair.

"And, I will take care of him. Don't worry papa."Ragini assured.

Mohan smiled broadly and then said, "Take care of you also."

The train started to move and their compartment wasn't fully occupied. Just then lakshya and aditya entered with coolers in their eyes ,tried to give entry like heroes and sat opposite to the girls.

"Lakshya, do you know Pachmarhi , a very good hill station to spend our time together?"Aditya intentionally asked while taking his coolers.

"That's a cool idea, buddy."Lakshya smiled and gave a hi-fi to aditya.

"What do you thought partner that I can't find your destination? However, don't play these silly games with me."Aditya asked Ragini with a smirk.

Swara stood from her seat.

"Rago, do you remember who steal your phone yesterday night?"Swara asked and played the video how aditya sneaked into room and the remaining.

Lakshya and Ragini tried to suppress the smile while Swara laughed along with Uttara.

Aditya glared everyone and tried to snatch swara's phone.

"Shona, give your phone to me."Aditya said while Swara switched the phone between her hands and played with him.

Aarav stood from his seat , snatched the phone from swara's hands and acted as throwing out of the train and hid under his full sleeve T-Shirt.

Swara stood numb for a second.

"My new phone!"Swara cried while aarav stood with a stern expression.

"You did wrong, Rago di." Aarav stepped forward to another seat in next row after muttering a single statement while aditya followed his brother like a lost puppy.

"I will get you a new phone, Shona."Ragini tried to console her friend then turned towards her remaining friends.

"Guys, My little brother is a bit stubborn, adamant and possessive."Ragini said.

"how proud you are?"Swara said in between her sobs then wiped her tears.

"To make this trip successful, there are two rules. Number one: Don't irritate her little brother never ever. Number 2: Never forget the first rule."Swara informed with an apologetic face.

"But, we don't know anything about her brother."Uttara said.

"That also , I will tell. Just replace the word 'a bit' with lot whatever  Rago said. He is a lot possessive about his siblings. If you try to steal them or if you try to pull their legs infront of him when he is with them, he will show you what the hell is. especially Uttara, be ready."Swara warned then again started to sob.

"My new phone!"Swara sobbed again.

Lakshya bit his lips to control his smile.

"Stop your drama now , Shona! Really I feel like you and uttara switched your souls."Ragini said.

"Drama? That's my new phone, my darling. You know Rago how much I begged my father to get this mobile."Swara said.

"I will get you another darling."Ragini said.

"No need. Shona, your mobile phone is here."Aditya said and gave her mobile.

"my darling."Swara said and then kissed her phone.

"Don't try to make fun of my brother. You know I don't like that."Aarav stressed his words.

"Uttu, literally something happened to her."Ragini whispered in Uttara's ears for which she also nodded her head.

"But, Aaru threw out of the train. Then, how could you get it back?"Swara asked.

"He didn't throw out. He acted like throwing out but he slipped the mobile in his sleeves; an impressive trick for his age."Lakshya complimented.

"How do you know?"Swara asked Lakshya.

"I already told you swara, silence lets you observe the situation."Lakshya reminded his advice.

"I deleted the video."Aarav informed.

"I will get it back anyhow and will pull your brother's leg also."Swara challenged.

Without giving any heed to swara, aarav sat beside his sister.

"Try it and then see what happens."Aarav said casually while pulling his brother to sit beside him.

Lakshya twitched his lips as he felt that aarav's voice sew a sort of fear in his mind.

"Devil!"Lakshya mumbled.

"Did you tell anything, Laksh?"Aditya asked while his vision stuck at uttara.

"Nothing aadi."Lakshya murmured then turned his vision towards the little boy.

"I am Lakshya, Aadi's friend."Lakshya extended his hand. Aditya nodded his head in affirmation towards his little brother.

Aarav held lakshya's hand and had a normal handshake.

"Nice to meet you, little boy."Lakshya said while swara ,ragini and aditya face palmed themselves.

Lakshya and uttara kept a confused face.

"I feel the same, uncle."Aarav stressed the last word.

"I am not uncle. You can call me Laksh bhai"Lakshya said .

"You can also call me aarav not as little boy."Aarav said to Lakshya directly.

"But, you are looking like a little boy to me."lakshya said while the remaining people except aarav looked at him in surprise.

"The same; you are also looking as uncle in my eyes."Aarav hit back with the same sentence.

Lakshya smiled suddenly and continued with the same teasing smile."I am just 19 years old and I look younger than that. I think you need to check your eyes."

"May be even I thought to check my glass power."Aarav said while taking his specs in his hand and then looked at lakshya while the remaining people became numb by hearing aarav's acceptance for the first time.

"But, living in Illusion isn't good uncle. Please consult with a good doctor."Aarav said and then turned towards his brother.

"Bhaiyu, is he the same laksh, a silent person whom you told me?"Aarav asked his brother while his brother gave apologetic face to lakhsya.

Aditya nodded his head positively.

"I think your need to rethink about your justification."Aarav said and then moved to a single seater and took chess board from his bag.

He started to play alone leaving the remaining people in their own world.

"Lakshya, better hear my advice. You will never win aaru in talk."Swara said.

"ok, let's play cards."Ragini said while taking play cards in her hand.

Lakshya looked at the boy with an unknown feeling.

"Guys, you continue."Lakshya stood and walked towards aarav.

"Do you know chess?"Lakshya asked the little boy.

"I know."Aarav replied without taking his eyes from the board.

"Can we play?"lakshya asked.

"Sorry, I like to play alone."Aarav replied curtly.

Lakshya sat opposite to aarav.

"Are you scared that you will lose?"Lakshya teased the boy.

"I am not rago di but still I accept your challenge."Aarav said after raising his head from board and looked at lakshya.

"Why can't we make it as a bit thrilling? A bet."Lakshya asked.

Aarav was very keen on the board to arrange his coins and refused to give any heed to lakshya's words.

"Still, you have to arrange your coins, uncle."Aarav reminded and pointed the board.

"About the bet?"Lakshya asked while arranging the coins.

"This game is sacred for me. And if you are so much interested on betting, you can join with them."Aarav pointed the remaining people whose were playing cards.

Lakshya shrugged his shoulders. They both started the game. Ragini and aditya watched both of them at the corner of their eyes.

The time flew very fast. Sweat droplets formed on lakshya's forehead. The remaining people also watched the game other than the friends.

Lakshya looked at the board while his mind struggled to taste the respectful loss. But, The boy didn't have any idea to let him taste the respectful loss.

Aarav looked at his siblings while he took a pawn in his hand.

"If a king didn't weight his opponent correctly, then even a powerless pawn could kill the king and end the game."Aarav said while his hand tossed lakshya's king with his pawn. The boy presented the worst defeat to lakshya without any second thought.

"Game over."Aarav said while the train stopped as the train reached its destination. The co travellers praised aarav for his skills.

"Aaru, Lakshya, we reached piparia. From here, we have to take bus. Take your luggage."Ragini instructed.

"Very good game, aarav."Lakshya complimented openly.

"It's really good to compete with you, laksh."Aarav replied.

"bhaiyu, wait here for a minute. I am going to..."Aarav raised his last finger with a blushing then ran towards the bathroom.

"your brother is so smart, aadi."Lakshya complimented.

Aditya smiled genuinely.

"Yeah! He grasps anything quickly. And, He is a bit matured to his age, also. Don't mistake him. He is a bit adamant on his decisions. And, don't like when someone irritate him. little kid he is."Aditya reasoned.

"It's ok. I really feel good being with him. Atleast, I got someone who could compete with me."Lakshya said and then walked down from the train.

After few minutes, Ragini boarded in the train again as her both brothers didn't step down from train.

Aarav came outside of the toilet and then walked towards his brother. He took his bag on his shoulder and then looked at his brother.

"Bhaiyu, does your friend really a good person?"Aarav asked.

"He is really a very good person, Aaru."Aditya replied.

"But, I am not feeling good when he is around with us. His eyes held ..."Aarav swallowed his words as his brother's expression changed.

"Bhaiyu, let's go. Everyone is waiting for us."Aarav diverted his brother.

"Addu! Aaru! We are getting late."Ragini shouted from the entrance of compartment then the trio descended from the train.

The six people went to pachmarhi from a bus while all of them enjoyed the hill views. In the two seater bus, Aditya and uttara took a seat, Swara and ragini hopped into another while Lakshya and aarav had to share a seat.

Lakshya was sitting in the corner while aarav took over the corner seat. His face adopted a constant smile by seeing the hill views from the bus. As usual Lakshya was constantly gazing ragini's face who was seated before his seat and took window side. Her long hairs were moving in the strong air and her ear rings danced according to her words.

"Shona, can you sit here? You can get hill views from my seat."Aarav offered.

"Even I wondered how your little brother let us together this much time."Swara huffed in a low voice.

Lakshya stood to give way to swara and accidentally his vision stuck at the love birds that lost themselves in them. Uttara placed her head on aditya's shoulder and watching the scenario outside. Unknowingly his head turned to Ragini's side.

"Rago di, you will be tired. Just have a small sleep."Aarav said and made her put her head on his lap. Lakshya sighed heavily as now he even couldn't see her face.

"Lakshya!"Swara called and looked at him questioningly.

"Nothing, swara. just lost in my thoughts."Lakshya said and sat beside her.

The bus journey completed silently then the trip towards the hotel. The love birds enjoyed each other's company a lot and even forget about the surrounding. Ragini accompanied her little brother always so that he wouldn't disturb her twin most.

"Ok Guys. Today, we will go for trekking. Get ready soon."Ragini hurried and then the boys and girls hopped into separate rooms to get ready.

After few minutes, all of then stood before a jeep in which their driver cum guide Siddhu was waiting for them. Everyone got inside of the car and after few minutes, the car stopped before a long forest.

"This trip is going to be awesome."Swara yelled in happiness.

"Mam, please keep silence. That would be best."The guide said in a stern tone.

"Even I am telling the same for the past two months, she didn't even budge. She won't hear your words bhaiya."Lakshya said.

"Forest holds equilibrium, sir. Until we won't disturb it, we will be safe. That's why."The guide tried to explain.

All of them nodded including swara. With the necessary bags on their shoulder, they started to walk inside the forest. The weather seemed to be cloudy and the start of spring made the views even better. With the fresh leaves, the gigantic trees stood majestic and the flowers in the small bushes mesmerized them.

After few hours of continuously walking, they reached the hill top of the hill. The view of the dense forest from the hill captivated their minds.

"Ragini Mohanprasad!"Ragini shouted at the top of her lungs by standing at the edge of cliff and waited for the echoing sound.

"Rago di!"Aarav crying sound reflected in the dense of forest along with her echo.

"Addu!"Ragini whispered and saw her younger brother who was clinging in middle between mountain and deep valley  just by holding a near slippery rock edge in the side of the mountain.

"Rago di! bhaiyu!"Aarav cried in fear while aditya and lakshya ran towards him and tried to hold his hand along with the remaining three. The three girls took off their duppata and made a strong knot with them while the boys took the rope which they kept for camping.

"Lakshya, hold this rope."Aditya thrown the end of the rope towards lakshya and skidded on the rock

"Addu!"Ragini closed her mouth with her hands in shock and fainted as she saw her younger left the hold on the rock .

Aditya held his brother's hand at the nick of time then Lakshya and the girls pulled the rope upwards.

Aditya managed to pull up his brother to his shoulder and then took him in his embrace. Both landed on the ground then aarav hugged his brother tightly.

"Nothing happened to you aaru. Your bhaiyu is here."Aditya tried to console his brother then his eyes landed on his sister.

"She just shocked."Swara mouthed.

"Someone pushed me, bhaiyu."Aarav said in between sobs.

Aditya hid his shock then broke the hug.

"There is no one here, sir. And, here the path is bit slippery and wind speed is high. The little boy might be slipped and scared." the guide , said.

Aarav hugged his brother again.

"Really, someone pushed me bhaiya. It's not my illusion. I scratched his hand hardly."Aarav whispered then broke the hug.

Aditya checked his brother's body for bruises and saw blood in aarav's nail. Aarav blinked his eyes.

The sun started to dusk under the mountains.

"Sir, it's better if we put a camp nearby here. We can't cross the forest during the time of sunset. It's dangerous."The guide warned.

"Ok."Aditya nodded his head then scooped his brother in his hand and then Lakshya walked towards ragini to take her in his hand.

"bhaiyu, your friend will take me. And, you take rago di in your hands."Aarav said then lakshya stopped on his way.

"Thanks laksh!"Aditya said then gave his brother in Lakshya's hands.

"Thanks bhaiyu."Aarav stressed the last word.

"And for your help, I will definitely make my rago di to tie rakhi in your hands."Aarav said innocently and encircled his hands on lakshya's hands.

Lakshya jerked the boy once and acted as stabilizing himself.

Soon, they found a place to put camp. Aditya and lakshya put ragini and aarav on the floor respectively then started to make the camps. They put five camps including for the guide. And then Ragini slowly opened her eyes and the light of campfire welcomed her. Ragini came out of her camp and saw aarav who was chitchatting with her friends.

By feeling her gaze on him, Aarav turned and then walked towards her with a smile.

"Aaru!"Ragini whispered and then hugged her brother.

"Ouch!"Aarav hissed as she hugged a bit tightly.

"Sorry!"Ragini said then glanced at her brother bandages. The scene flashed in her eyes once in which she felt a cold sensation in her spine.

"I am ok, Rago di. Come, we will sit nearby campfire."Aarav said and took her to the camp fire.

She sat in between her brothers. The game started from singing then slowly the one another got inside of their camp eventually dozed off leaving ragini and aarav alone.

Aarav already slept in ragini's lap and ragini comforted him with her shawl. She rubbed her hands because of the chillness in the air while she felt someone was behind her. Her heart started to beat fast and then she turned.

"Lakshya!"Ragini left a relaxed breathe while he covered her with a woolen shawl.

"Thanks!"Ragini thanked him while lakshya ruffled sleeping aarav's hair.

"Aarav reminds me about my brother."Lakshya said.

"Do you have brother? You never spoke about him before."Ragini surprised.

"I thought you are single child in your family."Ragini paused.

"by seeing my nature."Lakshya finished with a smile.

Ragini gave him a sheepish smile.

"I have a brother and sister. And, my family is a bit strict about our safety. So, No friends from my childhood." lakshya said.

"Then, how did they send you here to Bhopal?"Ragini asked.

"Well, I fought and came here for studies. Still, I wonder how my father accepted it."Lakshya replied.

Ragini smiled by seeing lakshya's expression.

"Sometimes, we couldn't understand our parents. But, they always understand us."Ragini said.

"May be my father understood what I want."Lakshya said with a smile.

"Laksh, don't mistake me. Do you remember your prank on the day of my fake proposal?"Ragini hesitated to ask.

"Is it really a trick?"Ragini asked finally gathering her confidence.

"Will you be happy if it's not a trick?"Lakshya asked with a teasing smile.

"Don't play lakshya. I will be happy only If it remains as a prank."Ragini said with a smile.

"But, why did you suddenly ask me about that? Is it my acting still affects you? Then, I can try my luck as a actor."Lakshya said.

"I think the aura of forest affected you a bit. Even, you are speaking this much."Ragini said.

"Don't you know forest holds magic? Now tell me the reason why you suddenly asked me about that trick."Lakshya asked again.

Ragini bent her head then looked at her younger brother.

"Aaru warned me that you are gawking at me weirdly."Ragini said .

"what? He is a little kid, rago. And, based on his justification, you are questioning me."Lakshya laughed.

"Even, our justifications may go wrong lakshya but not my aaru's. And, after that incident even I felt sometimes uncomfortable with your gaze. And, don't play with the name of acting and trick."Ragini said strictly.

Lakshya took a heavy breathe while Ragini stood and took her brother in her hand.

"You are really a good friend to me, lakshya. I don't want to lose my friend just for a mere confusion in his mind."Ragini said and then walked towards aarav's camp.

She made aarav lay inside the camp then walked towards her camp.

Lakshya just observed her stepping sound and his face cringed by throwing away his silent mask.

"That's not a mere confusion, Ragini. That's my love."Lakshya mouthed. Though he didn't tell loudly, the silence of the forest made it ragini hear clearly.

"I wish you soon come out of that illusion, Lakshya. And, I know the difference between love and attraction, lakshya. It would be better if you understand it."Ragini said calmly and got inside of her camp.

Lakshya also left to his camp with as usual his masked face.

The time flew away while the owl's hooting sound pierced the silence of the dense forest.

A dark hooded person slowly entered into aarav's camp and took a knife in his hand from his cover. The person stared the little figure sleeping in front of him. He raised his hand to stab aarav but he lost his grip on the knife and yelled in pain. He turned back and saw Aditya with a blood dripping knife and his wounded knees. Aarav opened his eyes and took the knife in his hand. By seeing aditya, he started to ran outside after pushing him hardly and the others also came out of their camp. The girls saw the masked man running out of aarav's camp and then aditya and aarav came out of the camp.

"who is he? A thief? that too in forest?"Lakshya asked.

"An assassin!"Aarav replied.

"It's better if we leave this now itself."Swara suggested.

"I will wake up guide and we will leave from here somehow."Ragini said and swara nodded.

"But, Rago , our guide just left us in this jungle alone. But, I am scared in the cheetah and leopard surrounded forest and with a blood dripping leg, he would cross the forest only if he is a non human creature."Aditya said which indirectly told the remaining people who that masked men was.

"Or if he has a group of colleagues who could help him."Aarav said.

Suddenly , The silence of forest scared them then the hooting and howling sound instilled the fear in their minds  while Uttara stepped towards aditya. Aarav looked at the dark sky and then twitched his lips.

"What is happening here, Aadi?"Uttara asked.

"Everything will be fine."Aditya whispered.

"We stepped into a deadly trap, bhaiya."Aarav said which gathered everyone's attention.

"Today, it's no moon day. Normally, venomous reptiles like snakes roam around on the ground on this day. Without the help of fire, we can't roam inside the forest . And if we use fire logs, with the help of emitting light, his helpers could find us. Both the darkness and light are dangerous to us now. And, we have to chose one."Aarav continued.

"I really wish to play chess with the person who planned this. But , in the board, a mere pawn and a knight are enough to finish this game."Aarav said then all heard the ruffling sound of shrugs near to them.

Aarav got into his camp , took out the water bottle from his bag and threw the water on the fire after signing everyone to hold each other's hand. Darkness surrounded the complete space with the scent of smoke.

"Run!"Aarav hurried while everyone held each other's hand and started to run. After few minutes, Uttara stopped and took a long breathe.

None of them could see each other properly because of darkness.

Aditya took his brother in his hand.

"All of them leave our footwear here and then hold each other hands. Let's move without making sound."Aditya advised then holding each other hands. Aarav cuddled in his brother's hold , comforted himself and then started to sleep.

Finally, they all reached the mountain cliff again. Aditya took his mobile out and guided them with a light. They all saw a big rock.

"Stay here beside this rock for tonight. Tomorrow, Shekar uncle will reach this place along with forest officers."Aditya informed in a low voice.

"Papa will come? You expected this attack. Isn't it?"Swara asked.

"Yes, I expected it."Aditya admitted.

Aarav opened his eyes with a yawn.

"Bhaiyu, we reached soon. I thought I could have a long sleep before reaching to this place."Aarav said.

"And still, you chose to stay over here."Swara asked being doubted on the fact refusing aarav's words.

"How could you risk our aaru's life, addu?"Ragini asked.

"First, it's the only safest place for us now, Shona. And Rago di, without risking the pawn, we can't safe others in this game."Aarav replied

"Don't mutter a word, aarav."Ragini replied sternly. Though she couldn't see the faces of each other, she could feel her brother's pout.

"It's my mistake to wish for a trip even after knowing our danger lurking life."Ragini thought while the six moved towards behind the rock and hid behind the rock. Their adrenaline pumped almost in its high velocity and the girls sat there while worrying about their life and their beloved ones.

Aarav comforted himself in his brother's lap .

"Good night!"Aarav mumbled while swara sighed heavily.

Uttara slept by leaning against aditya's shoulders slowly while Swara leaned against the rock. Lakshya held ragini's hands tightly.

"Please, I am scared of darkness nothing more."Lakshya pleased then ragini patted on his hand.

The sun started to rise and they rubbed their eyes.

"I never thought that I would like a sun rise in my whole life."Swara said. All of them came out of their hideout.

Aditya looked at uttara's face which was looking a bit puffy. Aditya cupped her face.

"It's my life, Uttara. These dangers are always part of our life. If you want to..."Aditya paused as he couldn't tell her to go away.

"It's our life, Aadi. whatever part of your life, that's part of mine also."Uttara said then hugged him.

Ragini smiled and closed her brother's eyes with her one hand. Lakshya coughed intentionally and then they broke their hug unwillingly.

"Addu, aaru is here."Ragini reminded.

"Finally, we are safe."Swara said , took a heavy breathe and extended her hands by letting the air flow around her body.

"No, we aren't safe until shekar uncle reaches here."Aarav broke her bubble of relaxation.

"but, Sun has risen already and we are also safe now."Swara said.

"The sun has risen and they, I mean those assassins could find us easily. And, cliff point is easily visible to everyone."Aarav said while some youngsters entered into cliff area.

"There are some people. We can ask their help to get out of the forest."Swara said and stepped forward.

"Shona, stop there."Aditya yelled and swara looked at him being confused.

"Aaru?"Aditya called his brother's name with questioning expression.

"They are."Aarav said in confirmation while one of the thugs raised his gun by pointing at swara's head. Swara even forget to blink her eyes for a while.

All heard a gunshot and the girls closed their eyes in fear. The police grounded all the thugs and swara rooted in her place with the closed eyes. Aarav walked towards swara and then held her hands.

"You are safe now."Aarav declared but her face didn't want to leave the scared expression. A near miss from death after a long time scared her while her body literally trembled. She looked for her father and saw him slapping a thug.

Ragini took a heavy breathe while Aditya was busy in beating one handcuffed thug and police officers were trying to control him.

"Sir, why can't we shoot them and finish it as a poaching case? They all already have crime cases on them in Bhopal."Shekar asked another officer who was responsible for that particular area.

"Why should we make a case, shekar? Let's finish them and throw in the valley. No one would step into those valley."The officer said.

The thugs horrified by hearing those and saw each other.

"Sir, please leave us." One of the thugs pleased.

"why are you trying to kill him?"Shekar pointed Aditya.

"Initially, we were appointed to kill him later the person commanded us to kill ."One of the thugs looked at aarav.

Swara hugged the little boy tightly eventually closed his ear to stop him from hearing further while Ragini walked towards her younger brother as she knew swara couldn't control him for a long time. Shekar's face stiffened by hearing this.

"Who is he?"Shekar asked.

"We don't know sir. He always contacted us through mobile and gave us their plan. We killed the guide and one of our men disguised as guide. He tried to kill the boy twice but failed. We killed him so that no one couldn't track us and started to find them to kill the boy."The thug said everything without even getting a single punch.

"They are new to this. But, how did you find about them, Addu?"Shekar said.

"I didn't uncle. That's aaru did."Aditya said.

With the surprised face , Shekar walked towards the boy. Swara stepped away from aarav.

"Care to explain little boy."Shekar pulled aarav's cheeks.

"I saw them in train then bus and also some of them nearby hotel. And, Papa told me that the guide whom he arranged was a jolly type but the guide seemed to be very rude.  I didn't feel good when I saw him.  And in forest, I saw those bad boys putting camp and also signing towards the guide. I thought something wrong. And at hill, Someone pushed me and while trying to hold the person's hand, my nails scratched him. And, I saw the nail marks on the guide's hand. I added the things and  I informed addu bhaiya then you. And, you came and waited here with officers until they show up." Aarav explained.

" Silence always let to observe the surrounding . But here We didn't get any mobile signal. How did you make a call?"Lakshya interrupted.

"We had special watches, laksh. with that we could send our location and messages to shekar uncle and our father from anywhere."Aditya explained.

"Anyhow, we escaped. Let's speak the remaining after."Ragini said and pointed aarav as she didn't want him to hear the things more than his age.

"I will take care of these criminals."The officer said.

Shekar walked towards his daughter.

"Done with your interrogation or still?"Swara asked angrily. Shekar extended his hands and then his daughter hugged him tightly leaving her anger.

"Kids, get into my jeep. We will leave to Bhopal."Shekar said.

"Papa won't send me to any other trip here after."Ragini pitied herself openly then her friend slapped her on her shoulder hardly.

"Here, we escaped at the nick of time and you are worrying about the trip."Swara said. By sensing their attempt to ease the little boy's mind , everyone chuckled except shekar.
