"Stella..?" A certainly old man about the age of 80, looks upon a young girl as she sleeps in the hospital bed, wearing a helmet like object. "I shouldve never let you bought that game." He sighs as he looks down on her. "Im sorry my grandaughter." He held her hand as he held it against his forhead. "Please stay alive. You can do this.." He said, having faith on his grandaughter.

"Help!" A girl with purple hair cried just as she was about to get attacked.

"I'll save you!" Another girl, with black hair with uneven twintails, ran towards the girl who was about to die.

"He-" before she could finish her sentence. She was hit and her body shattered like glass as she hit the ground, disappearing, depleting her existence.

"No way.." The other girl fell to her knees. SAO or Sword Art Online was introduced as a VRMMO or Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online game where anyone can enter the world of SAO and live their fantasy dreams of adventuring the lands with their friends. The beta testers in the beta had no problem and death wasnt an option so they were fine. But now the official release includes real life death. It all started, three days ago...

"Hey! Wait up man!" A man dressed in the theme of red, caught up to a boy who looks like he was in his twenty. "You look like you know your way round here, you were a beta tester werent you?" The man asked the boy.

"Yeah I am." The boy replied.

"Im new around here and i want to learn the basics of SAO, so could you teach me please? Cmon man im begging ya!" He pleaded.

"Alright fine, my name is Kirito, what about you?" The boy, Kirito asked the red man.

"My name is Klein!" The red man Klein stated.

"Alright, so who is that girl behind you?" Kirito asked as he pointed towards the girl with black identical twintails.

"G-girl?!" Klein jumped in joy as he turned around to see the young girl. "Youre totally cute!" Klein smirked as he tried to get closer to her.

Kirito standing as he was grabbing onto Kleins clothes, asked her politely "whats your name miss? And why were you following Klein over here?"

"..." She stayed silent staring at Kirito's eyes. "Stella. I followed him because he looked like he was a beta tester. But it turns out he was only following you. Hes probably a newbie like me." The girl explained in detail.

"Okay then Stella, Im Kirito and that's Klein, its nice to meet you!" Kirito greeted her, shaking her hand.

"Kyoabwaa!" Klein yelled as he was attacked by a boar.

"You should really be more careful." Kirito stated.

"Oww cmon man! Right in the nuts..." Klein cried as he was making weird noises as he was clutching his private parts.

"Oh cmon, you're over reacting, the game was programmed so that you wouldnt feel pain as you would in real life." Kirito sighed as he helped Klein up.

"Yeah youre right." Klein sighed as he stared at the boar he was fighting. "It just wont stand still."

"The most important move is the first one. Depending on your first move, it can decide the whole battle." Kirito explained as he charged an attack with a pebal. He threw it aggressively towards the boar, doing a bit of damage, about 4% of its health bar. "Putting it in simpler words, you have to predict your foes moves. And when your about to attack, when you feel the skill start to rip out, just let it rip." Kirito taught Klein.

"Tsch, I dont understand." Klein pouted.

"How about this, focus your attack on the target and then just attack." Kirito smiled as Klein looked directly at the boar. Klein suddenly charged at it with his blade, glowing a bright red colour. Klein yelled as he attacked the boar.

"I... I did it! Yeah~~!" Klein jumped for joy.

"Good job." Kirito praised Klein as the two clapped hands. "Still, that boar was as weak as slimes in other games." Kirito laughed.

"You cant be serious! I thought that that was a mid level boss!" Klein cried.

"Nah." Kirito replied as he looked at Stella, who seemed to be doing alright. "What?" Kirito suddenly said as he looked at Stella's blade which was emitting blue flames. "SAO randomly generates skills, quests and items as time goes on. It searches through the internet and looks for Folklore and Legends and updates the system, generating an infinite amount of quests and skills. But this.." Kirito explained.

"Whats going on Kirito?" Klein asked him as he looked at Stella.

"The blue flames.. Represent Satan.. It might not be Satan though. It can represent the Blue Flamed Phoenix or some other mythical creature. But that isnt my point. My point is that i can see great potential in those flames... Lets ask her what her ability is. It might not be the sword but maybe her ability." Kirito explained to Klein.

"What makes you think that Kirito?" Klein asked, scratching his head in nervousness.

"One of her eyes are lit with blue flames." Kirito stated as he walked up to Stella.

"Hey Stella?" Klein asked Stella after following Kirito towards her.

"What is it Klein?" Stella asked.

"I was just thinking, what is your ability?" Kirito asked her curiously.

"My ability? My ability is Aggressor." Stella answered Kirito.

"What are its effects?" Kirito asked her.

"Attack, Speed and Defense are double when my hp is above 50%, tripled if my hp is lower." She explained.

"Talk about Over powered! Your stats at level 1 would reach a level 2 or 3's stats!" Klein clenched his fists and smiled.

"No Klein, everytime we level we get a boost in our Attack, Speed and Defense by +3 or less. Everyone starts off with stats above 4 or less than 6. Her stats would match a level 3 or level 5 player if you do the calculations correctly." Kirito explained.

"What are the side effects?" Klein asked. Stella took another look at her ability.

"It says that for me to reach higher levels will take me longer than the usual." Stella answered.

"Maybe its like this. Lets say a normal person who reaches level 100 needs only a solid 1,000,000 exp to actually reach it. Im guessing yours would at most be 2,000,000 and atleast 1,500,000 exp. Either way, at level 50, youre way stronger than even level 100's.. What kind of over powered ability is that?" Kirito sighed.

"It says that my gain of exp is decreased by 3x." Stella stated.

"Oh in that case that means in order to get the same amount of exp as a normal person would from a boar, youd need to battle three. But with that power, it should take 3 or 4 hits to take out one, but for us it would take 9-12 depending on our luck." Kirito explained.

"Youre really experienced Kirito!" Klein stated.

"Yeah I guess!" Kirito laughed.

"I guess its fair, you'd have to scout out to look for more boars so i guess you should take a little longer on getting exp." Kirito softly smiled.

"Man no matter how many times you look at it, we are inside a game bro!" Klein inhaled deeply and exhaled as he relaxes on the grass, next to a sleeping Stella and Kirito who seems to be standing strongly.

"Yeah." Kirito agreed as he smiled.

"Makes me glad that I was born in this generation." Klein sighed.

"I can agree." Kirito unseathed his sword.

"During the beta, all that I would think about is Sword Art Online. It was my life. It made me feel more alive than the real world ever did." Kirito smiled as he seathed his sword.

"Yeah. I was lucky to actually get one of the 10,000 copies of SAO. But you sir, you were 10 times as lucky!" Klein stretched as he looked at Kirito.
"Dude only a thousand got to beta test!" Klein cheered.

"Yawwn..." Stella rose as she wiped her eyes cutely.

"Klein you woke her." Kirito laughed.

"Whats going on?" Stella asked as she stood up.

"You fell asleep, you trained far too hard! Too bad you only reached level 2. Kirito and I reached level 3." Klein smiled as he looked at the time. "Oh shoot! Its 17:25! My pizza i ordered!" Klein panicked as he swung his hand down, bringing the menu. He tapped on settings and looked for the log out button. "Kirito where is the log out button?" Klein asked calmly.

"It should be at the bottom of settings." Kirito stated as he swung his hand down, tapped on settings and scrolled all the way down, showing a blank spot where the log out button should be.

"Did they move it?" Stella asked.

"Maybe." Kirito replied. He scanned through every little option, unable to find the log out button.

"Maybe it was the blank spot at the bottom of settings." Kirito stated. "Thats where it was originally after all." Kirito stated.

"Its probably just a bug, i bet the server people are freaking out right now!" Klein laughed.

"You will too. Look." Kirito pointed at the time, showing it is 17:27.

"No... My teriyaki chicken pizza i ordered!" Klein cried.

"Have you tried calling the GM?" Kirito asked Klein.

"I already attempted, he isnt answering." Stella replied.

"Oh crap.. Isnt there any other way of logging out?" Klein asked Kirito.

"No. There wasnt. The only way us players could log out is if we go to the log out option on our menu. My question is that why havent the GM noticed yet? If he knew it then the GM can just shut down the server, logging everyone out automatically." Kirito explained.

"Man this is a problem.." Klein sighed.

"It isnt just a problem. Its a huge one. What if we cant get back to the real world?" Kirito asked.

"No way.. I know! I'll just rip the nerve gear off my head!" Klein thought outloud as he attempted to remove the helmet like object in the real world."

"That wont work. The nerve geat was built so that it would intercept all commands you give to the body with a electronic signal, making your avatar in game move instead." Kirito explained.

"I live alone.. So there is no one who can take the nerve hear off my head. What about you Stella?" Klein asked.

"I have a grandfather.. He's at work i think to build up money." Stella thought. "I have a grandfather." Stella answered Kleins question.

"I have a sister.." Kirito stated.

"A sister?! How old is she? Whats she like?" Klein asked in curiousity, showing a face of a pervert.

"Klein back off." Kirito said as he kicked Klein up 'there'.

"Oof!" Klein fell over, clutching his crotch again, realizing that it doesnt hurt. "Oh yeah I forgot." Klein sighed in relief.

"This is bad." Kirito thought. Suddenly, the large bell at the centre of Town of Beginnings where everyone spawns, started ringing. The three stood still in shock, trying to think of a solution.

"K-Kirito!" Stella cried as she was eaten by a blue aura.

"W-where am i?" Stella asked herself. "The bell.." She thought as she looked up. Around her were spawning players."

"Stella!" A voice called out to her. It was Kirito.

"Kirito!" Stella ran towards Kirito. "Whats going on?" Stella asked.

"I dont know. This.. Wasnt in the beta!" Kirito explained as they all looked around towards all the players around them.

A flashing red hexagon suddenly appeared in the sky, and within a matter of seconds, red hexagons were filling the whole sky, giving a hellish effect. Crimson liquid, sort of like blood, leaked out the sky.

"What the hell is that?!" Klein yelled.

The liquid started forming into a figure. A huge man with no face, a red cloak to cover his body and white gloves..

"Thats the.. Game Master isnt it?" Stella asked herself.

"Hello, and welcome to my world." The GM greeted everyone.

"What does he mean by that?" Kirito thought outloud.

"Most of you have probably noticed an item missing from your menu, the log out button." The GM opened his menu showing the log out button.
"This is not a defect of the game. I repeat this is not a bug. In fact that was how Sword Art Online was to be designed. I designed it that way." He stated. "There is no wait to log out. If someone attempts to remove the nerve gear from your head, the nerve gear will send micro signals, destroying your brain." He explained.

"What the hell. Can you believe this Kirito? He's lying right?" Klein asked Kirito.

"Hes not lying. The nerve gear works like a microwave. If the safety is disabled.. It can fry your brain." Kirito answered.

"You gotta be kidding." Klein's eyes widened as he realized he couldve died when he got hit by the boar.

"In order to log out the game you have to beat all 100 bosses. Once that is achieved, only then will you all be able to leave SAO." The GM stated.

"All 100? Not even the beta testers reached that high!" Klein shouted at the top of his voice.

"Also, if you die in the game, you will die in real life. The nerve gear will simultaneously destroy your brain, depleting you both in Aincrad and the real world. Oh and one more thing. I left a gift in your inventory. Please check it out right now." The GM explained.

Kirito opened his menu and checked his inventory. An item called 'Mirror' was left inside. The other two opened their menu looking for the Mirror and equipped it.

"And now the final touch." The GM said as everyone was suddenly flashed with blue light.

"Kirito! Are you okay?" Klein asked Kirito.

"Yeah I'm fine. Wait.. Who are you?" Kirito asked Klein.

"I'm me who are you?" Klein asked. Klein had spiky red hair instead of his straight silky red hair and Kirito had short messy black hair instead of his long straight hair.

"Wait is that you Klein/Kirito?" Klein and Kirito asked in unison.

"It looks like we were reverted to our real life forms." Stella explained. She had twintails which were uneven, radiant blue eyes and a cuter body figure.

"But how do they know our height and figure?" Kirito asked.

"When you first put the nerve gear on, it asked to do a calibration. It asked you to touch your body everywhere. Including your chest and private parts!" Klein explained whilst putting on a perverted face as he thought of girls.

"Quit it Klein. This is serious." Kirito quickly brought Klein to reality.

"Oh right. Anyway.. Why would he do this?" Klein asked.

"Hes about to tell us." Kirito stated as he pointed at the GM.

"As of now you are probably wondering why? Why would Akahiko Kayaba, the developer of Sword Art Online and Nerve Gear do all this? Well, ultimately my goal has already been achieved. To become a god of a world which laws dont apply. Now, good luck to you players. Farewell." The GM disappeared... Leaving nothing but silence.

"Get me out of here!" A voice shouted as the whole crowd starts screaming.
"I have a meeting after this!" "I have a family to get to!" Many voice sounded angry yet many sounded scared.

"Cmon Klein, Stella." Kirito grabbed both of their hands and ran out of the centre.

"Kirito where are we going?" Klein asked Kirito in concern.

"Alright. If we leave now, we can get to the next town in five minutes, whilst doing so we can get some good exp before the hunting spots become taken. Either way we can get to the next town easily. Even at level 1 i can reach there easy." Kirito explained.

"Sorry Kirito. The thing is, I waited with my friends to get this game all night. And they are playing right now... Which means they're at the plaza. I cant just abandon them.." Klein explained.

"Klein.. I see then. What about you Stella?" Kirito asked.

"Strength is in numbers... I guess i'll join Klein." Stella answered.

"Okay then. I understand. Well see you." Kirito sighed as he began walking away.

"Kirito wait!" Klein stopped Kirito from moving onward. Silence was brought among everyone. Kirito continued walking off. "Kirito.. I uh.. You look cuter that way.. It totally suits you!" Klein complimented Kirito.

"Yeah and that scruffy looks of yours totally suits you too!" Kirito complimented back as he ran off.

"Lets go back." Klein suggested to Stella.

"Right." Stella replied. The two took off to find the
