This Book Contains ; strong language, heavy violence and gore, explicit sexual content, sexual assault (there is a heavily implied rape scene in chapter 2, as a witness), heavy angst, many forms of racism and colorism and misogyny, many forms of abuse ( especially emotional ), bullying, murder, mental health issues including; depression, suicide attempts, and self-doubt. & overall heavy mature subjects and triggers not suitable for younger audiences.

⎯ This book is a first draft. The rawest of raw. Meaning I was updating as I was writing, literally as soon as the chapter was finished being written instead of finishing the book first, going through to polish it and THEN publish. It's also an early work during my writing journey which if you've read my other stories, know I've grown much from then—and finished this book over the course of four/five years. There is no proper beta reader or sensitivity check. There is bound to be grammar mistakes, misplaced words, tense-switching, sentences that could've been cut, overdoing purple prose, (very small-ish) plot holes, lack of information on few characters and to the readers for scenes that should've been explained right then. And I acknowledge it all. But it will be the best—entertaining, at most— emotional roller coaster, unchecked book you'll grow to love.

And if you don't, that's fine. Someone else will. I can accept that you, as the readers, are not obligated to like my work nor do you have to kiss my ass to make me feel better or hold your breath. I can't please everyone and I don't intend to because I write for myself as the priority. But trust me, whatever thoughts you have I'm most likely thinking the same. However, if a formed opinion is added without prior knowledge, don't be surprise if I correct you so the facts are straight. I'm not being sensitive, but making sure you know what you're talking about so you can bash my work correctly. The content is there. Let's research mama. And although there's a clear difference between criticism and hate...I can't really stop you from doing both🤷🏽‍♀️, but it isn't an open invitation to live out your Regina George fantasy just because <3

⎯ This book is a work of FICTION. Locations, names, plot, and etc are completely made up for entertaining purposes. Any relations to whatsoever is purely a coincidence. But I stress heavily, this book may not always be presented historically accurate at heart and isn't for the parts you'll get to — you'll know when you get there. Because I'm not Chinese and wrote this book as a way to immerse myself while learning Mandarin for the past years, I have done my research respectfully and consulted with my Chinese peers but it won't always be enough and I accept that. However, I do feel confident to deliver this story to the world but I'm always open to learn more.
