Chapter 118- Another Andy.

"He's just disappeared." Narcissa said.

We all sat in the living room, upright as if we were in an official meeting. Which felt to be true.

Sirius hadn't had a proper reply from Regulus in almost a month. Three weeks, two days to be exact. Narcissa was beginning to explain that he hadn't come home almost two weeks ago.

"We just had to check...check that he hasn't come to you." Sirius said.

"He doesn't know where I am? Does he?" I replied.

"I wouldn't be surprised. Regulus seems to always know everyone's business. No matter how private it is." Sirius explained and Narcissa nodded.

"But now we know," Narcissa shrugged sadly.
"If he's not here...which was unlikely anyway."

"He's a death eater." Sirius said bluntly with teary eyes.

"We don't know that," Narcissa began but was cut off instantly.

"You really think Bellatrix isn't part of all that? She isn't just part of an elitist group, she's a death eater. If she's introduced Reg to her group, he's one now too." He said sternly.

"What are you guys going to do?" I asked them both.

Remus stayed completely silent. I could tell he didn't believe it was his place to provide any input.

"Wait until he comes home, I guess that's all I can do." Narcissa sighed.

"I don't want to be involved in all of that. They call him the dark lord, their leader. It sounds like joining is essentially selling your soul to the devil. They try and recruit families, powerful ones. If Bellatrix and Regulus have joined..." Sirius explained.

"They could come for you too, if you stay in contact." I finished off his sentence.

"I've heard if you reject their offer, there's a likelihood you...well, die." Sirius mumbled.

I could tell Narcissa was in deep thought. Eyes slowly drifting around the room. Thumbs rubbing against each other, resting upon her lap.

"I can't leave the house. That isn't an option for me. I won't be able to cut ties with Regulus, so where does that leave me?" She finally spoke.

"Why can't you leave?" Remus said quietly, joining into the conversation.
"You'd be able to stay here until you found your way, right Arty?"

I nodded.

"I can make room. Easily." I said.

"My life is complicated, but it's mine. My friends are pure bloods. Lucius would never give up his current life to run away into Muggle territory. I have what you guys have...friends, people I love...just in a different way and I don't want to give that up. I can't leave." She explained, gesturing to us all.

"What if they come for you...you're the last one of us left?" Sirius said, actually showing care and compassion towards my sister.

"When have I ever put myself first? I'd protect Regulus. I made a promise." She sadly smiled.

She coughed, almost as if she was releasing her emotions. Standing up from her seated position.

"I should probably arrange a thing or two. Erase both your addresses from my book." She said.

"Cissy what do you mean?" I said, standing up with her.

"You two chose to leave. I respect that. I helped you both with that. But I think the time has come that it's too dangerous...we can't...you both have to move. Some place I don't know, then they'd never be able to use me to get to either one of you." She explained.
"If Regulus comes home soon, I'll let you both know and then..." she added, starting to smile sadly.

"I don't want to say goodbye. Not forever." I said beginning to cry.

"Maybe it won't be forever, but it's best for now." Narcissa said holding back tears of her own. Her bottom lip quivering.

"I'll expose them to the ministry!" I protested.
"I'll find out who's involved and send each of them to Azkaban! One by one!"

"Artemis." Narcissa sighed, shaking her head.

"I'll look after Regulus. Always." She turned to a deafeningly silent Sirius.
"But you have to promise me something now, Sirius." She added.

He looked up at her with pink sad eyes.

"I'll be a sister to Regulus, if you're a brother to Artemis."

"I swear on it." He cleared his throat to say.

I simply continued to cry. Watching my sister detach from me in front of my eyes.

"I can promise you this, Artemis, the dark lord will never know you existed. Neither will Mother or Father. I'll see to it that you'll be able to live your life unfazed by the burden of our surname." She said royally.

"Narcissa, don't disappear." I cried.

"You." She turned to Remus. Who looked as if he was about to follow any order she gave.

"I don't agree with your way of life." She began.
"But somehow, it should mean you're the perfect person to protect my sister from harm. Which I didn't see coming." She admitted.

"I love her." Remus said reassuringly.

"Then I need you to change her last name. Sooner or later. Live a quiet life somewhere, an unassuming married couple and make sure she never reaches out to me." Narcissa almost demanded.

He nodded.

"You've got to become another Andy." Narcissa smiled sadly, looking back at me and suddenly broke down in the tears she had been sucking up.

We were both losing another sister.

I ran into her, enveloping her in a tight hug as I cried into her shoulder.

"Thank you for everything Cissy." I sobbed.

She pulled away from the hug, dabbing her eyes with a silk handkerchief and simply began calmly walking away.

"Sirius," she said before leaving the flat.
"He'll never forget his big brother."

The door closed and Sirius collapsed back into the armchair he was sat in. Covering his face with his arms and violently sobbing.

"He's only sixteen." He sobbed.
"I'm never going to see him again!"

Remus rushed over by his side and comforted his old friend.

"You're both going to be okay." Remus said, holding Sirius as he looked directly at me.

"You guys cant be hurt anymore." Remus added, big hazel eyes staring sadly into mine.
"You'll both get through this."
