I wake up slowly. My head, owww... man does it burn. It feels like all the blood has crushed my own skull. The pain is still there, quite at large. I wince and let out a croak, as I try to sit up. Lan Zhan grabs my arm. I look at him in surprise.
"Be careful Wei Ying, your wound is still fresh." Lan Zhan says.
"Okay." I nod.
He leans me back on the small bed. I let out a breath.
"Wei Ying." Lan Zhan asks me.
"What?" I ask.
"What did you see in the woods?" Lan Zhan asks.
I bite my lip, and I look down.
"I... I didn't see anything." I say.
He just looks at me.
"Would you believe if I told you?" I sigh.
"Yes." He nods.
Wow.
"Some kind of blurry figure dancing around. It's nothing but foolishness." I say.
"Foolishness?" He asks.
"Must be my temperament." I say.
"What if it wasn't?" He asks.
"What?" I ask.
"What if there are creatures in the forest." He says.
"There are." The man comes in.
I wince as I move again but Lan Zhan grabs my arm. I sit back and arch my back on the bed.
"Good. You're awake." He smiles.
"Thank you for everything." I say.
"You saved us. It is I who should be thanking you." He says.
"What is your name anyway?" I ask.
"Mo I, Wei Ying." He bows his head.
"Please eat something." The wife smiles.
"Thank you." I say.
